Assuming things play out as expected and they don't manage to knock off OSU, I'd love to see a game against Auburn. A very good team that would be a challenge for Michigan where the win will mean something? Yes please.

Let's beat OSU and get a NY6 bowl. If we lose to them, give me the Holiday bowl. We've played in Florida enough. Only the Citrus bowl vs Auburn is a palatable option of the Florida bowls.

Nobody knows and won’t until after the conference championships. Lots of football left. Either way I hope it is not Washington or Florida. We open with Washington next year and I’m tired of playing Florida. I hope it’s a Oklahoma, Alabama, Georgia or someone that can give Michigan the confidence that they can play with the usual playoff teams.

Washington would be an interesting match considering we (unfortunately) start the 2020 season against them.

These non-playoff bowl games are already becoming meaningless if guys keep sitting out.  Trend will increase to the point that sponsorships rates will go down so much bowls will be cancelled in the future.

A 9-3 Michigan team (assumes beating Indiana and losing to OSU) is not going to the Gator Bowl.  That bowl is made for high profile 7-5 teams....or low profile 8-4 teams.

I live in Jacksonville and the Gator Bowl will oddly be on Thursday, January 2nd this year.....when a lot of people will have gone back to work.  I'm currently planning my vacation around who actually plays in the bowl.....but it won't be Michigan (assuming a 9-3 record).

Ordinarily I want to see a strong matchup. But this season I would be okay with a game that promises a solid win. A game where we really play hard, use the extra practice to set up next year, etc.

Sporting News is guaranteed to be incorrect. The Outback (and every other bowl) has an agreement to have five different B1G teams in their bowl game from 2014-2019. They've already used Iowa twice and Michigan has already gone. They won't be in the Outback Bowl.

The Citrus Bowl seems unlikely as well due to Michigan being involved in 2015 against Florida. If there was no one close to them, then maybe. I could see it if:

- Florida wins out

- Wisconsin beats Minnesota, gets annihilated by Ohio State

Still, does the Citrus take a 9-3 Michigan over a 10-3 Wisconsin or a 10-2 Minnesota? Seems unlikely.

That means if Michigan can't beat OSU, I still think they probably end up in the Holiday against USC.

If Michigan beats Ohio State, they will probably end up in the Orange or Rose Bowl because a 10-2 Michigan sitting at around #12 or #13 in the CFP right now would end up in the 7 or 8 range with a OSU win. They'd be the highest 2-loss team without question even if PSU has the head-to-head victory.

Best guess given the most likely outcomes (OSU over Penn State and Michigan, Minnesota over Wisconsin, OSU over Minnesota)

CFP: Ohio State

Rose: Penn State vs Oregon or Utah

Citrus: Minnesota vs Auburn

Outback: Wisconsin vs Tennessee

Holiday: Michigan vs USC

I'm definitely rooting for the Holiday Bowl. But I'm almost positive we'll be playing in Florida, and against the gators. Outback, Citrus, Gator - mismo.

I do not want to see Washington. That's like playing Florida in 2016, 17 and 18. Missouri and TN are lame to me. I'd prob have to go with USC just because its different and then Auburn.

We cannot be in the Outback bowl. The Outback bowl has an agreement to have 5 different teams over 6 years, and they've used Iowa twice (and us once) in that time frame. They cannot have a repeat Michigan.

Missouri is banned from postseason play in 2019, so we will not be playing them.

Personally, I think a matchup against this USC squad would be most interesting.

Now that the B1G Championship Game and the CFP are off the table, this is of only minimal relevance. Having said that, I would prefer a bowl game against a lesser team that we match up well with--a game that gives us the best chance at a W--over a "better" bowl. So, assuming we win out, given a choice between an NY6 bowl against a team that barely missed out on the CFP and a non-NY6 bowl against a middle-of-the-pack team, I would prefer the latter.

Even tho I live in Orlando I just want it to be a game the players are actually interested in playing.  Don't care who its against or where it is  if they are willing to participate and play at the level they are capable of.  I can make it to Jacksonville..Tampa..Miami or Orlando and would go to any of those.  But if playing in San diego is what gets them invested in caring about the game I would rather see that even if I can only watch it on t.v.

They’re all winnable games...

we’d smoke Washington.

Auburn wouldn’t gain 100 yards on us. It would be nice to beat an SEC team.

USC would be the least favorable match up. Lots of athletes all over the place.

I'm eager to see whatever bowl game it is.  Bowl games matter to me a lot, matter to recruiting, and I love watching them.

Best is, of course, Michigan in the Rose Bowl.  So, let's go to that one! :)

If that's not it, then my order of preference would be:
vs. Florida (for payback -- but I understand that lots of fans would prefer variety)
vs. Auburn (for chance to shut up some SEC big mouths)
vs. USC (for payback from past Rose Bowls, and USC is still has media clout)
vs. Washington (would be fun and would make game 1 of next year more vital)
vs. Tennessee (to give back to our transfers :)

If Michigan wins out they will be ranked in the top 8, especially being 13th ranked now and beating a #3 osu.

they will be in one of the top bowl games.

beat Indiana

beat osu.

go blue!
