The bowl prep for this program has been fucking awful for 50+ years

At what point do you just do the opposite like George Costanza? Fucking absolute failure by offense and defense alike.

The championship game may be a huge blowout.  We win by 2 scores if we play our normal game.  Uncharacteristic mistakes doomed us.  I guess they are characteristic of our bowl history.

100% I have been a diehard Michigan fan since I was born in 1967, both my parents went there, I went there, my brothers and sisters were there, and I have to say, outside of 1997, post-season just sucks.

Hey we screwed that up on a few levels but still Go Blue and Michigan now tomorrow and forever. I was at the playoff game last year, this year and will be next year if we’re there

Our offensive line is a total utter joke.  Jj ran for his life all game.  Terrible run blocking against a 3 3 5 laughable run defense

Backup running back runs for 150

Jj throws 2 pick sixes and you fumble on the goal line with a kid who has not carried the ball all year

Yes, this goes back to the Bo Schembechler days. Am at a loss to explain. This teams doesn't do well with a 4 week lay off. Too must rust early on.

If anybody has a clue, please let the coaching staff know at schembechler Hall. What--now 6 straight bowl game losses?

And now, Ohio State is taking it to Georgia. George’s defensive backs are nowhere near their receivers. This is going to be the worst fucking day in college football in many many years.

Come on.  I don’t think we practiced doing the pick six or the fumbling at the goal line.  It was a series of flukey mistakes that put us within the margin of refereeing and then the Wilson touchdown missed call and the missed targeting that flipped a 50/50 game.

Fair that there’s long pattern of underperformance, but I really don’t think there’s a through-line from Bo in 1969 to 2022 with a staff that mostly wasn’t born then.

Agreed, what were they doing? Give Harbaugh too much time and they come up with that stupid fucking play on the first drive!

At least we are losing in the CFP vice some random bowl game!

You know what? It’s just a game. For the guys who are playing it, yeah it’s more. I get that, and I respect the hell out of the fact that they treat it as such. But for us schmucks who are bitching about it online?

Its just a game. It’s just entertainment. And it was a fun game to watch. Frustrating? Yes. But a hell of a game in the second half.

I don’t know if Michigan got beat by a better team, but they lost to a team that sure played better tonight. And I can live with that. TCU is a Cinderella’s story. Mac Duggan seems like a good dude who we’d love to have start for us. I’ll be cheering for them in the title game.

ESPECIALLY if the unthinkable happens tonight and OSU wins.

I don’t think it’s “prep”. Outside of osu and psu, this conference does NOT prepare you for real team speed. That’s just the truth of the matter:

A lot of obvious mistakes in this game but I can't wrap my head around why our "best OL" couldn't pick up a blitz now and then. They weren't sending the house either. 3 DL and 1 LB shooting a gap, 5 OL blocking 4 defenders and they got through clean multiple times throughout the whole game. It got ridiculous.

I’m proud of this team, and it was a great year…..But they had no business losing this game.  Kick the field goal on the first drive get the points.  I really don’t understand the trick play.  A lot of odd play calls, especially on defense.  How many times are you going to bring the house and get torched. It was like watching what Michigan did to Ohio state.  They were keeping them in check without that. I believe this was the first game Corum was truly missed.  It’s unfortunate but I’ll take the last two seasons anyday!

Michigan, now on a six-game, bowl-losing streak, is 21-29 in bowl games. By comparison, in bowl games, TCU is 17-16-1, having won 11 of their past 14, Ohio State is 27-27, pending the outcome of tonight’s game, Michigan State is 14-16 and Notre Dame is 20-21.

As a long-time Red Sox fan, after Michigan's sixth straight bowl-game loss, I'm starting to wonder if there's a curse on the Maize and Blue. Michigan last won a bowl game on January 1, 2016 in the Citrus Bowl, 41-7 over Florida.

Before today's Fiesta Bowl, Big Ten teams were 4-0 in bowl games this year. Wisconsin beat Oklahoma State 24-17 in the Guaranteed Rate Bowl, Minnesota beat Syracuse 38-20 in the Bad Boy Mowers Pinstripe Bowl, Maryland beat N. C. State in the Duke's Mayo Bowl and Iowa beat Kentucky 21-0 in the Transperfect Music City Bowl.

We were the hunted and let a hungry and talented bunch of Frogs maul us.

This reminded so much of the 1978 Rose Bowl, when a 10-1 UM team played a 7-4 Wash team and fell behind to Warren Moon 24-0 before coming back and having the ball inside the 10 down 27-20 before a weird INT off the back of Stanley Edwards effectively ended it.

TCU was obviously better than 1977 Wash but we let them dictate the game to us from the start.

I'm not going to look at this game in such a way to overlook the great things that happened to get us here.

We've been a 2nd half team all year. Tied to Indy, up by 2 after dominating PSU, behind vs. Rutgers, etc. We got way behind through some bad luck and bad plays.

JJ is going to learn from this. The guy has the right stuff, even if he had two bad pick sixes today.

I'm more worried that our D could look so bad and either be out of position or make bad reads/missed tackles.

If DJ Turner thinks he's NFL material, just have the draft consultation board show him over and over again the awful coverage and missed tackle he had vs. Henderson when we had cut it to 41-38 and had them in 3rd and 7.
