UGA/OSU winner beats TCU by 20. Such a missed opportunity
December 31st, 2022 at 8:13 PM ^
All the blitzing cost us big time.
December 31st, 2022 at 8:14 PM ^
They had a much better season than I thought they would at the beginning. Beathe in dude. Life goes on.
December 31st, 2022 at 8:14 PM ^
Clearly Harbaugh and the staff did not do a good job preparing for this game. The playcalling in the 1st half was a trainwreck.
December 31st, 2022 at 8:18 PM ^
Kick the FG to start the game
December 31st, 2022 at 8:15 PM ^
Yeah, its nuts that this happens every single goddamn time.
Getting sick of this.
December 31st, 2022 at 8:31 PM ^
And now Ohio wins the national championship
December 31st, 2022 at 8:35 PM ^
Well, they're up 7-0.
December 31st, 2022 at 8:16 PM ^
Epic fail losing in the semifinals to TCU.
I’m still proud of this team, 〽️ has came a long ways .
December 31st, 2022 at 8:17 PM ^
Put a comment in Preview about it … Honestly thought it was / is the biggest issue.
December 31st, 2022 at 8:17 PM ^
The championship game may be a huge blowout. We win by 2 scores if we play our normal game. Uncharacteristic mistakes doomed us. I guess they are characteristic of our bowl history.
December 31st, 2022 at 8:18 PM ^
100% I have been a diehard Michigan fan since I was born in 1967, both my parents went there, I went there, my brothers and sisters were there, and I have to say, outside of 1997, post-season just sucks.
December 31st, 2022 at 8:18 PM ^
Just felt like we weren't preparing for *their* offense. Still getting burned by tempo.
December 31st, 2022 at 8:19 PM ^
Put it in the snowflakes thread, snowflake.
December 31st, 2022 at 8:21 PM ^
Hey we screwed that up on a few levels but still Go Blue and Michigan now tomorrow and forever. I was at the playoff game last year, this year and will be next year if we’re there
December 31st, 2022 at 8:22 PM ^
Go write in your journal and cry some more.
December 31st, 2022 at 8:22 PM ^
Our offensive line is a total utter joke. Jj ran for his life all game. Terrible run blocking against a 3 3 5 laughable run defense
Backup running back runs for 150
Jj throws 2 pick sixes and you fumble on the goal line with a kid who has not carried the ball all year
December 31st, 2022 at 8:23 PM ^
Facts- bowl games are not this program’s forte. Flat as fuck
December 31st, 2022 at 8:25 PM ^
Fix it by hiring more assistant coaches from Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, and OSU. These programs win in bowl games and know how to prepare.
December 31st, 2022 at 8:27 PM ^
Yea I chalked it up to meaningless bowl games in the pasand Georgia last year but it's a problem now.
December 31st, 2022 at 8:28 PM ^
Yes, this goes back to the Bo Schembechler days. Am at a loss to explain. This teams doesn't do well with a 4 week lay off. Too must rust early on.
If anybody has a clue, please let the coaching staff know at schembechler Hall. What--now 6 straight bowl game losses?
December 31st, 2022 at 8:35 PM ^
Got caught looking at the next game.
December 31st, 2022 at 8:35 PM ^
This is going to feel worse when the nuts beat UGA and win it all
December 31st, 2022 at 8:37 PM ^
But that one Buckeye loss will be compliments of the good guys.
December 31st, 2022 at 8:37 PM ^
Mostly same group back next year. They will be in the discussion yet again. 3rd year in a row. We are one of those teams now. Appreciate it.
December 31st, 2022 at 8:37 PM ^
And now, Ohio State is taking it to Georgia. George’s defensive backs are nowhere near their receivers. This is going to be the worst fucking day in college football in many many years.
December 31st, 2022 at 8:41 PM ^
Awful!!!!!!!
December 31st, 2022 at 8:42 PM ^
Come on. I don’t think we practiced doing the pick six or the fumbling at the goal line. It was a series of flukey mistakes that put us within the margin of refereeing and then the Wilson touchdown missed call and the missed targeting that flipped a 50/50 game.
Fair that there’s long pattern of underperformance, but I really don’t think there’s a through-line from Bo in 1969 to 2022 with a staff that mostly wasn’t born then.
December 31st, 2022 at 8:43 PM ^
Agreed, what were they doing? Give Harbaugh too much time and they come up with that stupid fucking play on the first drive!
At least we are losing in the CFP vice some random bowl game!
December 31st, 2022 at 8:44 PM ^
No Michigan fan should ever consider a bowl game a gimme.
December 31st, 2022 at 9:28 PM ^
I support this.
December 31st, 2022 at 8:45 PM ^
Run run pass . My cat knows what’s coming
December 31st, 2022 at 8:46 PM ^
The fact that 3* team like TCU now have made it the national championship before us is just disgusting. We beat ourselves and I'm so ashamed
December 31st, 2022 at 11:32 PM ^
you’re “ashamed?”
grow up.
December 31st, 2022 at 8:47 PM ^
You know what? It’s just a game. For the guys who are playing it, yeah it’s more. I get that, and I respect the hell out of the fact that they treat it as such. But for us schmucks who are bitching about it online?
Its just a game. It’s just entertainment. And it was a fun game to watch. Frustrating? Yes. But a hell of a game in the second half.
I don’t know if Michigan got beat by a better team, but they lost to a team that sure played better tonight. And I can live with that. TCU is a Cinderella’s story. Mac Duggan seems like a good dude who we’d love to have start for us. I’ll be cheering for them in the title game.
ESPECIALLY if the unthinkable happens tonight and OSU wins.
December 31st, 2022 at 8:48 PM ^
Let’s see more half assed running back drills. Angelique, back to you.
December 31st, 2022 at 8:50 PM ^
Can’t find a linebacker in these games who can make a play or make a Difference . Coleson got caught up in the wash over and over
December 31st, 2022 at 8:50 PM ^
You’re fucking fun at parties. Get a life.
December 31st, 2022 at 8:51 PM ^
I don’t think it’s “prep”. Outside of osu and psu, this conference does NOT prepare you for real team speed. That’s just the truth of the matter:
December 31st, 2022 at 8:55 PM ^
A lot of obvious mistakes in this game but I can't wrap my head around why our "best OL" couldn't pick up a blitz now and then. They weren't sending the house either. 3 DL and 1 LB shooting a gap, 5 OL blocking 4 defenders and they got through clean multiple times throughout the whole game. It got ridiculous.
December 31st, 2022 at 9:09 PM ^
I’m proud of this team, and it was a great year…..But they had no business losing this game. Kick the field goal on the first drive get the points. I really don’t understand the trick play. A lot of odd play calls, especially on defense. How many times are you going to bring the house and get torched. It was like watching what Michigan did to Ohio state. They were keeping them in check without that. I believe this was the first game Corum was truly missed. It’s unfortunate but I’ll take the last two seasons anyday!
December 31st, 2022 at 9:14 PM ^
We just cannot have nice things. Even in '97 we should have won both the coaches and AP And all the Rose Bowl Losses.
December 31st, 2022 at 9:16 PM ^
Michigan, now on a six-game, bowl-losing streak, is 21-29 in bowl games. By comparison, in bowl games, TCU is 17-16-1, having won 11 of their past 14, Ohio State is 27-27, pending the outcome of tonight’s game, Michigan State is 14-16 and Notre Dame is 20-21.
As a long-time Red Sox fan, after Michigan's sixth straight bowl-game loss, I'm starting to wonder if there's a curse on the Maize and Blue. Michigan last won a bowl game on January 1, 2016 in the Citrus Bowl, 41-7 over Florida.
Before today's Fiesta Bowl, Big Ten teams were 4-0 in bowl games this year. Wisconsin beat Oklahoma State 24-17 in the Guaranteed Rate Bowl, Minnesota beat Syracuse 38-20 in the Bad Boy Mowers Pinstripe Bowl, Maryland beat N. C. State in the Duke's Mayo Bowl and Iowa beat Kentucky 21-0 in the Transperfect Music City Bowl.
December 31st, 2022 at 9:59 PM ^
Michigan was also the only conference bowl game loss in 2017 if I recall. The debacle vs South Carolina.
December 31st, 2022 at 9:40 PM ^
Predictable as a clock.
December 31st, 2022 at 9:56 PM ^
We were the hunted and let a hungry and talented bunch of Frogs maul us.
This reminded so much of the 1978 Rose Bowl, when a 10-1 UM team played a 7-4 Wash team and fell behind to Warren Moon 24-0 before coming back and having the ball inside the 10 down 27-20 before a weird INT off the back of Stanley Edwards effectively ended it.
TCU was obviously better than 1977 Wash but we let them dictate the game to us from the start.
I'm not going to look at this game in such a way to overlook the great things that happened to get us here.
We've been a 2nd half team all year. Tied to Indy, up by 2 after dominating PSU, behind vs. Rutgers, etc. We got way behind through some bad luck and bad plays.
JJ is going to learn from this. The guy has the right stuff, even if he had two bad pick sixes today.
I'm more worried that our D could look so bad and either be out of position or make bad reads/missed tackles.
If DJ Turner thinks he's NFL material, just have the draft consultation board show him over and over again the awful coverage and missed tackle he had vs. Henderson when we had cut it to 41-38 and had them in 3rd and 7.

Whoa whoa whoa. You not allowed to say this.
