That's the link to a google search. Actual link:

Anyway, 6 week recovery time doesn't sound too bad. He'll be ready for the falll.
Might be the wrong link lol. Can confirm via twitter though. shux
Any Knee injury is unfortunate, but a meniscus tear is the easiest to recover from. Hopefully he's good for Fall practice.
be back long before fall. He will be able to do all summer activities and be full go in the fall.
I've read somewhere recently that it's something that he can recover from quickly...
JT Barrett had surgery on his after the Michigan game and was back by the Conference Championship game. It isn't really a serious injury.
Anything that happens to me.
major surgery and minor surgery.
Some are worse than others (I've had a few).

Harbaugh probably shed a tear upon hearing this. The man loves this kid
no pun intended?
"He was cracking skulls, doing Ben Mason stuff as spring ball was going ... His knee just didn’t feel right."
Ben "Mason" Mason?
plenty of time to heal, super sore right now, keep working Ben.
Injuries are never good, but now is better than right before the season
link?
I wonder if this is a serious injury? Will he be ready for fall?
"will have meniscus surgery and be out for a month and a half"

I was just kidding. Every single post on this thread says the same thing.

He bounced back no problem for early enrollment at U-M and winter conditioning that started 6 weeks after the surgery.
I tore the meniscus in my knee playing hockey. The way my tear worked out, it actually eventually healed without surgery. Well healed is the wrong term--the way the doctor described it to me, I guess my tear was on the outer edge of the meniscus, and the frayed part got stuck in the joint and basically I performed a self-meniscectomy one day by accident. I guess this happens more often than you would think.
Mason's tear may be more severe because he is having surgery. Or maybe they are just taking way better care of him than they did with me. :) I never had another problem with the knee.
Hopefully his injury is the less severe type like mine was. Based on the comments (him saying he could play but that his knee just "didn't feel right") it sounds like it probably was.
If that is the case, they will do a partial meniscectomy and he'll be good to go in no time.

Longitudinal tears tend to heal on their own if they are on the outer portion of the meniscus. I had one of those once and ended up not needing surgery for it although it was definitely stiff and sore for a while.
He needs steak and whole milk.
1 1/2 months till return

Whose meniscus?
Dang, hope this doesn't set him back too much from a development/learning standpoint. Ben is a fun guy to watch.
