Center depth is good - especially having the *backup* being an experienced and capable young man such as Austin Davis.
We are very fortunate to be in this roster position. Can't credit Beilein & Howard (and their staff) nearly enough as warranted.

The depth he adds really will be valuable when playing the teams w a strong big man - Iowa, Indiana, and Purdue. Can bang down low while Hunter takes a break.
Johns has been doing well - but will be great having Big Country back in the rotation...

Nice! Been able to avoid foul trouble so far this season but at some point it will be an issue during a key game.

Austin actually has a better FG% than Dickinson!! (75% to 73% I believe)
To be fair, (To.. be... FAIR.....) that is on only 16 shot attempts per ESPN.

And Coach confirmed Eli Brooks will play tomorrow. However, he would not say whether or not Eli had his tooth replaced. Long live hockey Eli.
Brooks missing last year's Wisconsin game near the end of the year was a big part of how they were able to carve us up, so it will be nice to have him back to guard Trice.

Your point with Brooks vs. UW ties in very nicely with the post on the front page --- re: MD vs. WI and Ill as examples of the type of team you can effect by stopping 1 alpha guard. Hopefully Eli can shut Trice down cold tomorrow.

Perfect time to ease AD back into the rotation as he will be much needed in the back half of the schedule. This is very good news.

That would be wonderful news! But please keep Hunter as the starter and sub in johns in the 4 position. This team is stacked with Davis back!

I wouldn't worry. Hunter will be the starter. But having AD back is huge IMO. It will give us that much more depth on the frontline with a big body, and someone who plays with energy. Go Blue!

Interesting questions facing Coach Howard. Not many backup C minutes [*knocks on wood*]. Johns has played his best minutes at the 5. Ideally, he should keep getting minutes to stay sharp. But, also ideally, AD gets minutes to get sharp.
Not the worst problem to have, I guess.

I hope Juwan only puts in AD if we really need him for Wisky, maybe a few minutes to get him back to game shape because this team has been playing so well since AD has been out that I'm afraid of how the rotation will be affected.
He's a luxury now, eat up some minutes and fouls while being eased back in.
