Aubrey Solomon granted immediate eligibility

Lets see all the Harbaugh hot takes after this one.

For Tennessee this is a big deal as apparently they return only 3 DL that have ever played a D1 snap. Tennessee plays a 3-4 defense so Solomon will be playing as a 2 gap DE. His 24 tackles and two TFL’s, in 18 games is more than Tennessee’s entire returning defensive line had last season.

I just don’t get the inconsistencies of the NCAA. Let them all play after a transfer or make them sit. Dafuq is so hard about that?

My random guess  is it was a reverse Malik McDowell situation. Maybe his  mom wanted him to go to Michigan because she hoped the environment would be better for him (academically etc). Instead of refusing, Solomon went.

Then it sounds like he may have sabotaged his playing time by failing classes, not attending class & practices,  etc. My unfounded speculation is that a big reason for his lack of playing time was not merely injury, but maybe concerns that if M played him, they’d have problems later with him being academically ineligible??

People not from the South just don't understand.  My mom would add the sugar to the tea while it was hot off the stove so that she could supersaturate it.  Also added some baking soda to cut down on the bitterness since she'd let it steep for a long time.

Biscuits also aren't as good when I travel outside the South. I don't know what it is. Lack of using buttermilk or White Lily flour possibly.

The cider and doughnuts are much better up there though (I'm not going to compare the doughnuts to Krispy Kreme because that's not fair).

I'll take your word for the tea, because I have had really good sweet tea.  I just prefer unsweetened, though.  Biscuits...  Biscuits just suck.  Pour enough sausage gravy on them and they're palatable, but that's it.

You win the post, though, with the Krispy Kreme comment.  There is no comparison to a KK glazed just off the line.  O. M. G.!!  In fact, 3 day old KK glazed, microwaved for 10 seconds, is STILL way better than any other donut I've ever had!

I hear ya Hillbilly.  My grandma made her sweet tea just like your mom.  I made some last weekend and man It always brings back some fond memories.

as for the biscuits,White Lily has lower protein than most other all purpose flour, which makes it much lighter.  I order WL on Amazon and it’s the only flour I use for my biscuits.  Some other brands are making biscuit flour now, like King Arthur, but I am pretty loyal to White Lily.

Hot takes:

North Carolina makes the best biscuits, they just try harder. A bojangles cajun filet biscuit sandwich with bo rounds is life. "Sweet tea" is an insult to actual tea, a generic Moroccan maghrebi mint tea blows it out of the water every time, and it's not even close. Agreed that Krispy Kreme doesn't make doughnuts. Give me apple fritters, paczki, or old fashioned sour cremes. They taste a hundred times better than those flimsy sugar bombs they mass produce, and don't dissolve the instant you try dunking them in anything.

But why? I'm fine with Solomon getting eligibility, but what was his reasoning and why was he granted vs. any other transfers. It seems like his transfer was granted simply because he transferred to an SEC school. The inconsistencies with these transfer rulings is ridiculous and just adds to atmosphere of confusion. Ultimately, players shouldn't be angry at the institution but the NCAA for not outlining what clear exceptions are available to bypass the sitting 1 year out rule.
