Any Michigan players in the college dunk/3-point contest this year?
I saw an article mentioning that Forbes and Valentine are headed to Texas for the 3-point contest. Tried searching for info on other participants, but it doesn't look like they've released that info. Any word on Duncan possibly heading down there? He currently has the 8th best 3-point percentage, which is ahead of Valentine and behind Forbes. They only take 8 players.
Would also be nice to see Dawkins in the dunk contest, but I don't remember if Michigan has ever sent players for these contests if invited.

He'll represent us well.

As long as he isn't trying to compete in a pass catching and/or layup contest...
only if there is a sweating contest there for him to participate in.

But I think it's only for seniors.

Ah, that would explain why Stauskas never participated.

That would be correct. Events are for seniors who aren't participating in the Final Four.
They should also have a floor slapping/kissing contest....
Which is why Valentine is in it! Did you hear MSU lost to MTSU?! It was the biggest upset in NCAA tournament history!*
*Seriously, this is amazing. After they made January, February, Izzo, April shirts we should mention this as often as possible.

Dawkins would be the undisputed "Almost made it" dunk champion.

Not thread worthy, but since MSU hoops were brought up, Zach Randolph has joined Dawson and Cleaves in Izzo alumni being in the news for abusing women:

Can't forget Draymond either:

I don't have a problem diriving 118 I do have a problem driving 118 and snapchatting while doing it.
meaning you think it is ok to drive 118? If so... you're dumb!

The speed limit was probably 55, at most 65. He was driving 118 mph. At least 50 miles per hour over the speed limit. You think this is ok. This is your position.
both hands on the wheel? 118 mph is just getting the engine warm. wait'll we hit the open road...
where we're going, we dont need roads
with the direction this went

Michigan definitely sent Air Georgia, Brent Petway, to the dunk contest before.
He will crush it
Picturing Donnal (or Doyle) entering the contest, running up, and doing soft layups off the backboard.
Laughter is good for the soul.
Nice one

I think Brent Petway was the last person from Michigan to compete.
I believe that's right - I remember Petway competing in the dunk competition in 2007. I believe Michigan's women's team has sent one or two people to their three-point competition since then, however.
I think you have to go back quite some time to find anyone else though - Rumeal Robinson maybe, but yeah, a while ago indeed. I can't think of anyone else offhand, but maybe someone else can.
most minutes logged playing an Andrew Dakich-caliber player against teams in the RPI 100 in close games.
