Even if he could do it within the rules currently governing college athletes, why would Charles Matthews come back for another season of college ball and risk another injury?

We both agree it’s not possible. That being said, he’s coming off an injury and a chance to show that he is healthy by playing NCAA ball sounds like a great platform for him. He wasn’t a highly regarded prospect before the injury so he needs to prove himself somehow.

The top 5 in the state is the intriguing tidbit. Bell isn’t from the state and I am not sure he would have been considered top 5 considering his offer list.

Ant has tweeted really highly of Wade in the past.
"In the state" heavily implies it's a Michigan kid, and Juwan hasn't recruited a PG and he plays PG.
Wade is from Ann Arbor too and not enrolled in college, so I'm assuming they were able to have talks really easily behind closed doors.

I doubt it’s walker. We don’t have a SF but Howard has offered 4 and we likely already have one in the bag with his son Jace.

I kind of doubt Ant Wright would have the inside info if it was Walker, but Howard did offer him. He's more of a SG than a SF, that's the hole in the 2020 recruiting class.

if “the” state is Michigan that rules out bell and matthews, Matthews is done because he signed with an agent (someone correct me if I’m wrong), bell is done because he wasn’t a top 5 recut in “his” state (let alone “the” Ohio).
