Ant Wright Source Says Emoni to AA

Listening to an Ant Wright Spotify live right now and he’s saying a source today told him Emoni is coming to Michigan.

Could be a boss move that works or totally blows up. Tremendous content at the least.

I know he had a drama filled year and didn't play in to many games for Memphis for whatever reason, but he's as talented as a player that we've seen in a michigan uniform. Honestly I see it working out well for both parties.. for the ones that are for some reason die hard against him coming to michigan, give it a chance

This is a gamble. A serious gamble. Granted, if it pays off and he can get Bates to buckle down, work his ass off and buy in,  it could pay massive dividends. But it could also blow up in Howard’s face and potentially disrupt the locker room.

He came and played at my alma mater (Spring Arbor U) a couple years ago. Would be really cool to have him on the team. Juwan will find away to reel him in and use him. LETS GET IT

Can I just say how pleased I am that Michigan, after securing the best recruiting class in the nation, is also encouraging three of the top transfer targets to try and play ball, despite our clearly challenging admissions/department requirements? Gone are the days when we almost win a national championship, then lose momentum on the recruiting trail. We need to enjoy what looks like sustained success and ignore some of the details and rantings of a few. In Juwan Howard we trust.

Make him sit behind Houston and TWill and play the "microwave" role with the 2nd team. He can still close games with the first team.

Wishful thinking, I know.

I’d take Emoni in a minute because Juwan’s personality is so strong and the culture is so strong it can handle this young man. Rasheed Wallace was looked at as a renegade until he came into the Pistons culture. I’m the type of fan that wants UM to have all the talent it can get, because if all things are equal talent usually wins out.

I hope this happens. It would make next season very interesting from a entertainment standpoint. I’ll now be a bit disappointed if this isn’t a thing. No idea if he is any good but I will watch games I normally wouldn’t to find out.

Howard was and is on NBA coaching radars, and that’s a job that is absolutely built around managing egos.  Even a college kid with a circus like Bates isn’t close to the degree of difficulty in managing bonafide multimillionaire superstars.  If anyone at the NCAA level can handle all that, it’s Howard.

I think this might be happening.

Juwan has spent several days meeting with Emoni and his Dad.

Emoni followed all of the current players on the team on social media, and several of them followed back.

Dug McDaniel, who is close to Emoni, indicated on social media that something big and surprising is coming.

I actually think this could be a good fit for Emoni. He won’t have to carry the team as there will be several other talented guys around him. It will also give Emoni a chance to be part of a real system that has been proven to succeed.
