Another look at Maize socks on the Road (modeled by Devin Gardner!)

Submitted by Wolverine Devotee on

For some reason they look better here than the original photo from the other day.

Also to note, Devin Gardner is modeling the uniform here.

Socks? Fine ...

Pants? Not enough contrast with the white. Not enough contrast with the white. Really ... not enough contrast with the white.

As well: Whenever I see blue, maize, and white together I think of those hideous '90s-era Starter jackets that you can see in the crowd shots of Wolverine Historian videos. I also think of longstanding road-game ineptitude that stretched back to ... I don't know when. (Past Hoke and RichRod, anyway. Think of Lloyd's Pac Ten losses to UCLA, Oregon, etc.)

The road experience hasn't been uniformly great with Harbaugh (cough, Iowa), but the white pants suggest a new -- and pleasant -- era to me. I like 'em better.

You don't like yellow pants because there's not enough contrast for your tastes, and three times over there's not enough contrast with the white.  You're a man of contrast, so you need contrast.  And yellow pants do not offer a satisfactory level of contrast.  Up the contrast quotient and we can talk, because you love contrast.  We live for contrast.  Contrast or die.

Until that day of optimal contrast arrives, you prefer a look with absolutely zero contrast.

(wait...what?)

That's it exactly. :)

I'm not a design expert, but I think the maize would work only with a lighter blue. It would still be miles behind the best uniform in college football (Michigan's home uniform).

To put it another way, in the blue-maize-white array, the maize would need to be moved closer to the blue.

And yes, I'd really prefer no contrast to lousy contrast.

I did not glance or even thing about his bulge. After your comment I did look....I decided we can't conclude anything from that pic. Plus the size of your package soft is irrelevant. The size when it's time for action is vital.

well I didn't start out thinking about checking out DGs package, but due to the oversized photo I had to scroll down on my phone and ended up with the bulge section visible on my entire screen. next time make the photos smaller WD.

also, Gucci, thanks for the pro tip on the before and after. I had no idea DG was a grower.
