Another Advertising issue (not OSU related)

Today I noticed ads are appearing inside the body of comments (making it look like a link in the comment), such as -

Now I assume mGrowOld is not trying to get me to sign up for Hilton rewards, so is this a bug on my end, or is it an MGoBlog issue?

That 'foot' cream is actually a very high quality moisturizer and it leaves your 'foot' soft and hydrated.

Or so i've been told, by a friend....

Seth has posted about this previously if you missed it. They are testing ad placements with a program Google runs to optimize ad revenue. They won’t put them in comments long term regardless, but they don’t control the placements during the test phase.

Just a little source of outside income my friend.  Hilton contacted me and asked if they could run ads inside my posts cause they noticed the extremely high blog readership of my thoughts on things.

I just assumed everybody was getting a sponsor - no?

I'm highly annoyed by the ad on the side suddenly becoming a pop up ad that moves and blocks the message board. Today is the first time I've noticed it. Anyone else?

How many of these threads are we going to have?  Here is the previous thread where the issue is addressed and then explained.  https://mgoblog.com/mgoboard/meta-ads-middle-posts

Per Seth: "At the moment we are running a test program through Google that tries out all sorts of empty spaces for ad positions, and then we'll pick which ones we want to keep that aren't annoying but also mean we get to keep doing this for a living."

You can help influence how the final advertising is designed by hitting the 'x' on the top right corners of the ads and selecting 'Stop seeing this ad', then select a reason one of the reasons is 'Ad covered content' which is probably appropriate for the ads in weird locations.

I thought I was past all these annoying ads, but now I'm getting multiple ads for some (mobile?) game called Second Life featuring pregnant CGI characters. oy vey... I keep hitting the "stop showing me this ad" button, and I'm sure it will go away in 2 weeks
