Amorion Walker to Ole Miss

Nowadays there is going to be an inherent flight risk on a player from a different region of the country that isn't getting PT after a few years (see also Clemons). The push to return closer to home is strong. That said, good luck to him!

Then it should work in reverse for us, no?

Not really, because Michigan doesn't produce anywhere near as many top-level athletes as other states.

Wish him luck. Honestly, almost anything can happen to UM football rn and I will still be happy

As long as we keep Jyaire Hill my dream for all Hill's, Green's, and Hill-Green's is gone but not forgotten.

They reached out to AW last year and this year the money offer was good enough for him to go. Ole Miss spent a lot of money to bring in transfers and Judkins the star RB didn't like that he wasn't getting paid enough so OSU made him a better $$$ offer and he went to them. College sports to me is in a very bad place with the way NIL is currently structured and not really having any rules in place per say.

This actually benefits us if we take advantage of it. For years we complained that we were sitting on the Michigan Money Cannon with nothing to fire it at. If only there was a way to use it.
Now there is.
We can't change our weather or location or other innate things that limit our appeal to recruits across the country, but limiting ourselves financially is a choice.
So, OK, we don't want to just throw cash around at everybody and cause locker room discord, but we surely need to get some elite guys to come here that want to be compensated.

Can we talk about the image in the tweet? It look like Amorion is sitting in an operational electric chair. Would make for great cover art if he ever releases a metal album.

He is listed at 190 but was very skinny when watched him on the sidelines @ Maryland. I thought he might get hurt playing that thin. (I feel the same way about JJ in the NFL.) Hopefully that extra 10 from this year (if it is accurate) is real and Walker balls out down there. I don't begrudge any player switching things up in todays CFB.

Mississippi State had a CB drafted in first Rd who was166lbs and he has been pretty good in the NFL, after some great season in the SEC. Some positions don't need to be at a certain weight to stay on the field. Secondary can be one of the areas depending on the role. Of course in the box or hybrid safety the weight helps. But a CB who is great in coverage doesn't need all the weight.

Mistake for him to transfer to a well established team (sec). The guy couldn’t even get on field his sophomore year. Clink is best in country and if he didn’t trust him to play then he should have went to a smaller school to get guaranteed time. Maybe he got some sec NIL money or he will switch back to wr? Not sure who is advising these kids but need to be better
