Eeeewwwww.

There are going to be some REALLY angry posts on this Board today.  Could be an all-timer.

There is always someone else to get. If that’s where he wants to be, good for him. I hope we bring in Jerry Montgomery and / or Roy Manning.

I'd prefer the best possible candidates - if they're Michigan guys that's great but association or degree shouldn't dominate the criteria. Enough with the recycled names simply to toss out coaches with Michigan ties. Best available candidates across the board

Sorry I’m disappointed that we just lost 2 assistant coaches to the team that scored 62 points on our great defense and have beaten once in the last 15 years.

I think there’s a few others who feel the same.

This is not what any of us expected two months ago. People have a right to be mad/upset/disappointed.

Absolutely am and I’ve been to the last 20 home games in a row. Doesn’t mean I can’t be disappointed that we still have many problems and aren’t where we want this program to be.

I was 16 the last time Michigan beat osu and was 8 the time before that.

Most people in this thread have memories of us beating them regularly. I do not and I want to have them. I would cut off one of my fucking fingers right now if it guaranteed the return to that. I’m dead serious about that too.

A finger isn't much of a sacrifice. Therein lies the problem for the program. Our fans are only willing to give up a single finger while their fans are willing to marry their hideous sister and live in misery for the rest of their lives, all for football glory.

WD, you have certainly proven your fanhood for Michigan, but please go back and re-read what you just wrote.

You are basically saying Michigan football should be better to satisfy your own desire for happiness and so you can have the same memories other people have.

The echos of The Team, The Team, The Team must be fading with you.

I would be interested to see the exchange when you walk up to Jim Harbaugh and inform him that he should make Michigan win more so you can be happy about it and that it isn't fair that your Mom & Dad got to be happy, but you don't because Michigan isn't winning enough now...for you.

OHHHH, THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!!

This thread had little to do with recruiting and neither have your comments up to this point. It was a very self-entitled comment and I pointed the ridiculous nature of it out in a fairly polite way with a little snark.

No sarcasm.  I expect Michigan to win B1G next yer and beat OSU.  I expect Day will come under a lot of heat for his underwhelming hires.  Hire Harbaugh or Brown at OSU then you got me.  Get Partridge, maybe you have a real crack.  Taking Mattison was a favor.  Took money from other better candidates they could have hired Washington was a small loss.

I just don't think a lot of this is coming as a surprise to a whole lot of people at this point.  Everything from the OSU game onward pealed back the onion quite a bit and showed some rot.  I think people are upset but have known for some time that a few shoes were going to drop.  The end of the season was a complete debacle and was going to have fallout.

Think about this for a minute - our rival, who has owned for going on a decade and a half, is poaching assistant coaches from us.  Sure, they can spin it to recruits of Michigan's impending doom and everyone is jumping ship.  But short of this, what's the concern?  Our defense has been waxed against teams that can that pass block and throw the ball more than 10 yards down the field the last two years.  I fail to see why this makes sense for OSU.  This hire I understand more than the Mattison one though.

Ohio has been locked down since basically 2005.  One assistant coach isn't going to change it.  The only thing that will is Michigan and Penn State blowing the doors off of OSU once in a while, and that sure hasn't happened.

There have to be coaches out there with ties to Ohio that can recruit and may help contribute to OSU scoring less than 62 points when they play Michigan. Frankly, I am not sad about the majority of coaches leaving this off-season.

Never said you can’t be mad or disappointed. I’m sure everybody is - myself included. You’re being reactionary though, and yours posts aren’t sarcastic or tongue in cheek. Just find it interesting that someone who wanted to be taken seriously is reacting in such a way.

Well this is definitely a cause for concern. Harbaugh losing two defensive coaches to his arch rival, and his DC possibly taking a HC position. Combine that with players essentially quitting on him, the mild argument with D. Bush about his bowl status, Aubrey transferring out of nowhere, the blow out losses, Higdon’s dad being upset with Harbaugh’s usage of his son...geez.

Thank goodness for an early signing period.

Harbaugh does have a great opportunity in front of him to go hire the best DL/LB coaches he can, while also getting rid of Pep and bringing in a guy who can put together an offensive game plan that isn’t from 1975.
