Alabama is going to beat Georgia. Georgia hasn't played a team with a pulse yet this year.

I hope Cincinnati beats Houston but I wouldn't be surprised to see the Cougars pull it out.

The fighting Hokes are also playing Utah State on Fox

Would they really match up Georgia and Alabama  again in the semi?   Close game and they could leave them right where they are to play Michigan.   Worst case scenario.

However, this scenario leaves open the possibility for Cade to lead a comeback against Alabama, get drafted by the Patriots, win a superbowl, and marry a supermodel.

If it goes chalk from here, who else would be 4? The committee isn't sticking a 2 loss non-conference champ Bama at 4 for an unfair rematch with UGA and then there's no way you can justify Bama at 3 to avoid a rematch.

I think as of this hour it's tentatively

  1. UGA
  2. Michigan
  3. Cincinnati
  4. Notre Dame
  5. Baylor
  6. Alabama
  7. Ohio St

Georgia has been informed to throw the game to get two sec teams in, to help young get the heisman, and Georgia will oblige to not give away a good game plan for any hypothetical rematch.

I hope Georgia wins. But I did put a few bucks on the bama spread. Seems too good to pass up. Bama -6.5? I’m not too much of a betting man but seems like a no brainer to me.

I would like the optics of Michigan beating 'Bama in a game. But it's probably better to win a Natty, generally. Anyway, neither team looking great, so far.

Cheering for Georgia and Cincy makes the most sense for Michigan. But end of the day we just need to win baby! That's all that matters!

PS. I really really don't want to see ND in the playoffs, that would cheapen it a little imo.

If Bama and Michigan win with a cincy loss it should be

1. Michigan

2. bama

3. UGA

4. ND or Baylor

no way in hell OSU should sneak back in, but money talks and CFB above all is a business. It’ll be interesting to see how it all plays out.

I've been shocked all week that people seem to have written off the Cinci game as a W given that Houston has one loss in week one. Cinci has struggled with multiple teams far worse.

Just watching the first 10 minutes of the 1st quarter of the SEC title game and the sheer physicality and speed between both these teams is uh, let's just say very different than the B1G.

Let's beat Iowa and then shit ourselves later. I have extra diapers for everyone left over from our role playing night :)

Yeah I'm not saying we get our doors blown off by any means but the talent disparity on display in this game is very real. We'll always have a shot and I think a very good one if we get to the CFP but there's no doubt we're watching the best 2-3 teams in the country right here. Real recognize real.

This will be a rough 3 1/2 hours of listening to Gary Danielson.  He's nothing like the color commnentator who used to be paired with Brent Musberger and did Big Ten/Pac 10/Big 12 games.

Alabama being the Death Star allows them to be fawned over simply for existing.  Last week against Auburn, Danielson and the media practically sobbed for Bama for getting a targeting penalty.  An obvious late hit on the Auburn QB shouldn't have been a late hit.  And a 2 loss Bama team deserves to go to the playoff.  I can't handle it.  It's worse than Dick Vitale watching a Duke basketball game.

If UGa scores a TD here this game might be over quicker than I thought.  Young looks shaky and a 90+ yard TD drive in your face is tough to come back from.

Somone who knows more about Cincinatti and Houston help me out. I know Cincinatti is supposed to have a great defense, but in what I've seen (first quarter just ended) Houston seems to be going right through them. Does Houston have a great offense?

What situation gets us into the CFP even with a loss tonight? Probably Bama and Cinci lose also, then we're not falling behind OSU and a non-division winning Ole Miss. That would maybe leave UGA, Notre Dame, Michigan, OSU?
