4 Star RB Commits to UM
Jordan Marshall out of Ohio. Great news!
https://247sports.com/Article/Michigan-Wolverines-football-recruiting-Jordan-Marshall-207029626/
Do you realize that if you take away all 13 scoring plays for Michigan (in The Game) against the Buckeyes over the past two seasons, that Michigan is shut out in both games?
And, I just realized this… only one FG for Moody in those last two games against the Bucks - only ONE (1) FG, though there were twelve (12) extra points.
I’m sure that some fans in Ohio who actually believe this could happen.
Great news ! Congratulations and welcome Jordan and family!
Ryan Day is trending on Twitter because of this commit. OSU fans are not taking this one well. You just hate to love to see it.
Until and unless Harbaugh signs an extension which makes his leaving unlikely, the recent recruiting success seems a bit precarious.

Clearly these guys are super concerned that Harbaugh is leaving
Me so happy!!!
A fantastic football player and even better person. Wow-so pleased!!!!

*Not sure if this link will work, tried showing the board a sceeen shot from a disgruntled 11 Warriors poster. It's golden.
His tweet in Alexes article has him listed at 6'0. From an pic earlier this week that would make Jadyn Davis about 6'3"?

Most sites have him as 5'10" 195 lbs...looks to be correct.
Glad we’re getting back into Ohio.Went through dry spell for a few years.Winning the Game helps.Too many good players in that state and OSU can’t get all of them.Getting ones they want is fabulous.
Great news!

Yes! Great addition to this class,
Hopefully ready to contribute as a freshman since a lot of carries should be available in 2024.

According to ESPN:
Michigan Pass Attempts 370 Rushing Attempts 600 (7th most in BCS)
OSU 410 466 (71st most in BCS)
Any elite RB would love to play for a run-based offense like Michigan.
Catching a few passes out of the backfield doesn't hurt.
Welcome aboard Jordan. You and Cole can determine who gets Thunder II & Lightening II.

This is a front page link on espn.com right now. Love the up front recognition that Michigan is the place to go, especially over Ohio

I'm sure the O State fans are taking it well and look forward to celebrating their pistol shooting team.

One hell of a runningback. His dad is a Buckeye fan too! Can't blame the kid to want to play for one of the best offensive lines. Go Blue!

A very big recruiting win for Michigan.
congrats to the staff, but especially coach Hart and Harbaugh.
The best players in Ohio... play for Michigan.

Who are those guys? They look like Wolverines - who are alumni today.
And, look at what they did. Both - worked on Sundays for a number of years - and, they needed to continue to work on weekends after they stopped “playing” on Sundays.
Oh, to top it off… have you thought about stuff they need to keep “clean and dust free” at home? Both received something from the Downtown Athletic Club in New York during college - and (I think it’s bronze… not gold - like gold pants). And, that bronze statuette requires attention to stay clean.
Yeah, both played high school football in Ohio and excelled at Michigan…
Hmmm… it sounds like a theme…. Go Blue!
Marshall is definitely a good get. However number two ranked Taylor Tatum and number eight ranked Dillin Jones we’re both offered by Michigan and were interested. Getting number 13 ranked Marshall probably extinguishes that. Taylor iand Jones tape is more impressive than Marshalls. I still have my oh how I hate Ohio State bumper sticker from 1975 but I don’t give a rats ass about what state we got Marshall from. The goo goo and gah gah about getting a running back from Ohio is a bit weird.
You sound pretty miserable but let me try to help you:
1. Tatum is on the record saying that Marshall’s commitment doesn’t affect him and Michigan’s willingness to play 2 RB’s together right now appeals to him.
2. Marshall is a top 100 recruit, #7 RB per the 247 Composite, and the first top 100 recruit from Ohio with an Ohio State offer that Michigan has reeled in since 2013. The “goo goo gah gah” over getting the Ohio HS Player of the Year is pretty justified if you ask me.

Boo this man. You're placing a lot of confidence on #2, #8 and #13 meaning something. Just for reference, guys move around a ton month to month.
Its weird that you have a bumper sticker from 1975 and don't understand why recruiting Ohio has always been critical for Michigan.
Until OSU becomes an annual 5 loss team, us being better than them means we're in the National title picture.
Also, more subjectively, many feel that marshall is better for us than tatum. So, its an opinion thing even among fans.
Lastly - Tatum said he doesn't care and he shouldnt. We have 2 thousand yard backs per season. Of all positions, RBs should be at the top of the list to make sure we have multiple great ones.
Lastly lastly - a guy from Ohio committing at this stage also kinda tells me that the guys he visited on (many) are in the pool too. I don't think he comes here without our recent crushings of osu AND without the promise of more elite players joining him from Ohio and all over.
He’s from my high school. I’m thrilled.
It seems Jordan has both strong athletic ability and the intelligence to select / commit to Michigan (over other schools who have offered him).
A great combination.
Welcome and Go Blue!

grabbing a top player out of your rival's backyard is always a win

'4 star' undersells it. 4 star can mean like composite 300 or composite 50 and he's much closer to the latter.
