4* OT Michael Uini receives UM predictions
Michigan has received two predictions (that I know of) to land 4* Micheal Uini out of Texas. If he sounds familiar, he released a commitment graphic last time he visited only to quickly take it back down.
I'm curious if it is a race between Warren and Uini or if they would possibly take 7 OL.
The other prediction was from ole' Wingding himself.
Got a few crystal balls for DE Devon Baxter as well. We are now at a point where we are seemingly receiving more crystal balls than there are spots in the class at certain position groups which I don’t think I’ve seen before in my Michigan fandom. The last OL spot seems to be whoever decides to pull the trigger first between Warren and Uini and the DE spots are gonna go to the 3-4 guys who decide to pull the trigger quickest
My guess would be we get J. Smith (both), Nichols, Baxter, and Rudolph at Edge. Chile's to UF hurts with Mayo and Robinson feels more like he is going to Kentucky or is waiting for that OSU offer.
Robinson apparently moved up his timeline recently so we’ll see what happens there. Given it feels like the Mayo ship may have sailed, I think my preferred 4 would be Smith, Nichols, Rudolph, and Robinson. Smith and Rudolph have super impressive bend and natural pass rush ability, Nichols has a great frame to end up in that Hutchinson/McGregor mold and Robinson just reminds me so much of Kwity Paye.
For OL, Uini seems a little more refined especially on run blocking, but Warren’s size and athleticism is just so hard to pass up
I know someone said Lightfoot was not worth the work, given all of our options but if Mayo is out because his teammate is going to FL, we absolutely should do some work on Lightfoot especially since he and Lmarion Stewart are teammates. Maybe we sell all 3 Chicago kids coming to Michigan. Again, we need to compete against OSU for any players that can help us, instead of them. He would be a double victory, as would the two Ohio DB's. I watched his tape, as well as the other edge recruits and he clearly looks better. Lightfoot is gonna be a problem for somebody, I hope it's not us.
They’re teammates, but they’ve never played together. Stewart transferred to Kenwood after the football season from Bolingbrook. I’m sure they’re friends, but I doubt there’s anywhere near enough there to get more traction than they already had
Hopefully Mayo is still visiting, he is my favorite of the DE prospects. Rudolph would be my 2nd tier, Robinson, Smith and Baxter are 3rd tier with Nichols probably the least impressive in my eyes.
I feel exactly the same. Mayo, Rudolph and Baxter would be my favorites for sure. Mayo and Rudolph specifically seem like elite gets. I really hope Mayo still visits and we have a good shot.
Does anyone have film of Baxter at DE? His junior highlights that I saw were mostly at TE
Yeah - I don’t get the Nichols love at all.
Your overall comment is on point!
yeah it's basically a first come, first serve situation. I've been a bit surprised that we still haven't seen anyone commit yet at EDGE but it feels like once the first domino falls, it will be a rush. Rudolph, Nichols, and J. Smith all are probably deciding soon so that may get it going
I hope they take both. With the decent chance Sherrone Moore is off to a head coaching position next year we may lose a commit or 2 so I would rather be stocked up. Also they are both great prospects so you can take them all and figure it out later
Take 7 and call Stevie Ross. Michigan has so much (possible) money at its disposal that class sizes should be fake! Take 10 4* OL idc
Which ol guy is better? Can we really take 7 guys??
I mean I'm sure we can take 7, but there's no way we can keep 7 for more than a season or two
Warren is ranked higher and seems to be more of a raw, athletic, huge human, while Uini seems to be more refined but isn’t quite the athlete Warren is
My eyes tell me Uini is the better athlete. Warren is just big. Big is a nice trait to have in an OL though so time will tell how they develop.
Warren seems to move better and get to the next level better. Uini is still a very impressive player though. He can really move people
Just my opinion but I disagree. Warren looks very stiff with slow feet.
Reports are numerous that Warren is more than just big.
That comment was…….silly to put it nicely.
It's my opinion based on watching film. I like Roebuck more than Warren as well.
Man. I wish we could put a few of these guys in the freezer and thaw them out in a couple years. Moore has it absolutely rocking.
He is still scheduled to visit Alabama and Georgia yet, so hold on tight.
My wife and I did this and our little ice cube just turned 5.
Nice and congrats!
It would be fun to refer to a 330 lb tackle as "our little ice cube".
Or maybe the Freezer?
Take them both and sort it out later. There's bound to be 3-4 great college lineman in this bunch.
Uini is now at 77.6% on the On3 RPM.
Warren is at 80.9%.
EJ Holland just put in a prediction for Uini as well.
Coach Moore could land 10 blue chip OL's this year if he wanted to.
Nice, of the two OT targets left, I prefer Uini.
Uini has some big time offers so he would be a massive get. Him or Warren would be an awesome get for that final OL spot.
It's going to be funny seeing a lineup of 9 OL's a QB and a RB.
It's the 9-1-1 offense.
The Ultimate Harbaugh--when the program breaks through the chrysalis and emerges in a pure Harbaugh state of being.
That’s ridiculous—we would need at least one of those to be a TE.
It's WINGDINGS with an S. I should know, I'm the one who the autocorrect bitchslapped good! And for the record, I wasn't able to even recreate the autocorrect from wiltfong to WINGDINGS, and believe me when I say I tried for a half hour. Happened on a Google pixel 5a phone that ironically crapped out after 18 months
FWIW.... I lived in Copperas Cove, TX at one time and was born in MI, so Michael and I share those commonalities.
but what's your NIL value?
I'm a graduate of the University of Vermont and the University of Michigan, so H.H. Holmes and I share those commonalities.
wait, profiles list NIL value now? wow.
This young man is a take-has the makings of a very high level LT/RT-even elite.
