2021 Michigan/OSU on FS1

Submitted by BostonWolverine on August 31st, 2022 at 11:26 PM

If you tune in now, the first half's almost over. Michigan's up 14-10, but there are some concerns about whether they can hold the lead.

Head to FS1 and we can find out what happens together.

They were spooked.  Bullied on the field and in the tunnel to the locker room. UM knew they should have been up by more at halftime, but also knew OSU had no answer in the trenches.

Really exposed them as a soft and mentally weak team.  Was glorious to see.

After all these years and beatings, UM just didn't give a fuck and acted as the favorites, had all the swag, and shoved it in their faces all game long. It just carried over into the tunnel.

Would love to bully them again this year in CBus.

I completely forgot about that Smith-Njigba catch on 4th down in the red zone as they were driving down 28-13. I remember in the stadium seeing the replay on the screen showing clearly he was juggling it the whole way and let it hit the ground at the end. I was irate that they didn’t review it and let OSU snap it, whole stadium was booing. Of course they didn’t show any replay on the broadcast on Fox nor do Klatt or Gus even mention anything about it.

I had the whole season saved on my dvr and the last two weeks I've been watching the games in order when I can and deleting them.  Watched this one last night and I just can't bring myself to delete it.  I still get a mile wide smile at the end and I still watch the postgame with that smile the whole time.  It was magnificent.

I've watched The Game over and over for the past two weeks. One thing that stands out to me is how incredibly loud the stadium was the entire game. I can't remember Michigan Stadium being that loud in recent memory.

watching for either the 27th or 42nd time..... I was in awe at how many times ohio's WRs made stroud look good.   they made so many circus catches on poorly thrown balls or  over/around nearly perfect coverage.   in addition, if Hutch hadn't trimmed his fingernails that morning, he deflects the screen pass and they score one fewer TD...

The score ended up way closer than it really should have been.

Yeah there were quite a few insane catches by OSU's wideouts. But let's not bash Stroud too much, a lot of those balls were in a position where it was either a circus catch by the WR or an incompletion. Pretty good QBing

You take out one or two of those crazy 3rd and long or 4th down catches, Moten catches the easy interception, and that game is a complete and total (moreso) blowout

I always recall with Grey, Green, and Turner, they were routinely in position and where they needed to be. There were hardly ever a lot of yards after the catch, but still some crazy circus catches by JSN, Olave and Wilson. I don't think there is anything Grey could've done better on defending Wilson on that TD pass, for example. He was where he needed to be and did what he was coached to do. Just lost a battle with a top-10 pick.

Outside of Moten dropping an easy interception that would've ended the half 14-10 instead, I'm not sure there's much else the secondary could've done better in that game. They were facing three first round WRs. JSN could very well be a top-5 pick next year, and barring anyone completely coming out of nowhere, he will be the first WR off the board.

Sometimes you just have to tip your cap to the other guy and acknowledge he was better that time. Luckily, in the end none of it mattered. You gave those guys the only stat that mattered. A big, fat, stinking loss.

I DVR’d that game and have re-watched it so many times I have it memorized 😂 so I zip past Cade’s first pick near the goal line

Otherwisr I like to watch it from start to finish, commercials and all, to get the same feeling.
