CLOSE THIS OR NO COFFEE FOR ANYONE!
December 6th, 2019 at 11:25 AM ^
Can we at least get some steak knives if we finish second?
December 6th, 2019 at 11:29 AM ^
Really just trying to avoid third place.
December 6th, 2019 at 1:45 PM ^
When do we get the leads?
December 6th, 2019 at 3:09 PM ^
The leads are weak.
December 6th, 2019 at 12:48 PM ^
ABC, always be closing.
December 6th, 2019 at 11:11 AM ^
And next week he's going to Columbus. Hopefully he'll see how much of a shithole it is and run to Ann Arbor.
December 6th, 2019 at 11:14 AM ^
Or he will completely buy in to the fact that he can take all of his classes on-line and never has to step foot onto that shitty campus.
December 6th, 2019 at 11:18 AM ^
Can they practice online too? He would only have to fly in on game days.
December 6th, 2019 at 11:46 AM ^
His QB coach trained Haskins... something tells me OSU has an advantage here unless Harbaugh offers the kid the starting job.
December 6th, 2019 at 1:25 PM ^
The best outcome would be for Stroud to sign with OSU, get coached in their QB assembly line of Heisman level candidates, not get the starting job when Fields leaves and hit the portal to come to UM. He’d be better developed than what Harbaugh has shown. We win in the end.
December 6th, 2019 at 4:41 PM ^
...except the odds would be quite long, given the history of the animus between the schools. JUstin Boren is the most recent example of someone transferring from one school to the other in the rivalry, but I believe this has only happened a handful of times regardless.
That said, Stroud would be a good get perhaps no matter how it happened.
December 6th, 2019 at 6:44 PM ^
Well said LSA
December 6th, 2019 at 4:36 PM ^
I didn't hear that. Interesting. But whatever. Get a kid on campus and anything can happen.
December 6th, 2019 at 12:19 PM ^
Some shit holes pay handsomely to remain there...
December 6th, 2019 at 12:48 PM ^
Stop with the shithole stuff. Kids don’t want to play for third place. If he goes to OSU it’s because he wants to compete for a NC and not some meaningless bowl.
December 6th, 2019 at 1:53 PM ^
Have you ever been to Columbus? It is, objectively, a shithole.
December 6th, 2019 at 2:01 PM ^
Can confirm. Columbus has a shit-ton of Wendy's locations, which leads to lots of pooping, in coolers and otherwise.
December 6th, 2019 at 3:34 PM ^
Yeah, top players commit to schools because they want to live in towns of 100,000 liberal monkeys, 70,000 of which are students or university employees, not because they want to be developed into top NFL prospects.
I think I found the problem:) !!!
Look, Ann Arbor is a cool college town but Columbus is far from a shithole. Thinking as much is petty, narrow-minded, and dense. They have tons of things Ann Arbor doesn't. First and foremost, jobs and activities that aren't directly related to the university. No offense but Columbus has much more in total going for it than Ann Arbor. Hell, it obliterates pretty much anything in Michigan except for our small UP vacation areas and those aren't even the same thing.
Too many Michigan fans have only been to Columbus to experience an OSU loss and it has made them grumpy and a little silly.

No, columbus is a shithole right in the middle of the wasteland between Pittsburgh and Ann Arbor.
Here's the student housing:
December 6th, 2019 at 5:43 PM ^
Liberal is not a pejorative. Using it as such makes you sound like a moron.
December 6th, 2019 at 7:18 PM ^
I grew up in Columbus. Hate Ohio state, but Columbus is a great city. Plenty of stuff for college kids and OSU college kids to do. Yes, it has bad areas and dumb shit that every city has, but it's a good city.
December 7th, 2019 at 12:30 PM ^
Columbus is a pretty cool city.
December 7th, 2019 at 6:22 AM ^
Columbus is also the host city of the Arnold Sports Festival. It’s the largest sports event in the world each year. It has more sports and athletes than the summer Olympics. If you’ve never been there I suggest you go.
December 6th, 2019 at 4:48 PM ^
I'm a diehard Michigan fan and this is not factual. Maybe o$u campus ... then I get it.
December 7th, 2019 at 8:48 AM ^
So i guess Madison and Happy Valley are shitholes as well, and any team that beats um must be cheating? So Wisconsin and PSU must be cheating also. Sounds like an excuse from a 8 year old. UM isn't the juggernaut that the hiring of Harbaugh suggested would be built in AA. He hasn't recruited at an elite level consistently that the fan base assumed would happen with his hiring. Harbaugh hasn't come close to that, in fact under his control the talent gap vs OSU keeps getting bigger .
December 7th, 2019 at 1:57 PM ^
Well...He may also not want to have to “play school”. That’s such a huge missed key factor for OSU over UM. If you can focus on football, it makes you better. Pretty simple.
December 6th, 2019 at 11:14 AM ^
His official visit to OSU is on Dec 14th. His OV with GA was 11-23 and it does not appear that he has an OV scheduled with USC. It looks like this one will come down to OSU and UM.
December 6th, 2019 at 11:15 AM ^
OSU already has a QB committed. I wonder if this will affect his decision.
December 6th, 2019 at 11:32 AM ^
Their QB room is dry, it will not affect his decision.
December 6th, 2019 at 11:55 AM ^
Our depth chart is more daunting. Three returning QBs and Harbaugh leans toward red shirting the true FR. Three incoming transfers in 5 years isn’t a great selling point either.
December 6th, 2019 at 12:01 PM ^
OSU has had three incoming QB transfers in 2 years.
December 6th, 2019 at 1:40 PM ^
Fields and who else? Haskins, Burrow, Barrett, Martell and Baldwin all originally signed with Ohio. Burrow, Baldwin and Martell transferred out.
December 6th, 2019 at 1:48 PM ^
Per bios on OSU football roster.
Chris Chugunov has been a valuable addition to the Ohio State football program since his arrival in Columbus as a graduate transfer in the fall of 2018
Gunnar Hoak joined the Ohio State football program in June of 2018 as a graduate transfer after earning his degree from the University of Kentucky in agricultural economics.
December 6th, 2019 at 2:33 PM ^
Bluedream is an OSU troll who pretends to be a Michigan fan.
December 6th, 2019 at 12:05 PM ^
The new hidden factor in the depth chart is the way the Transfer Portal is playing out. It's just a second stage of recruiting that we all have to consider and get use to. Watch some big name QBs enter the Portal after the season ends.
December 6th, 2019 at 12:28 PM ^
Stupid argument re:transfers since two of them transferred in for Harbaugh's first season to fill in a barebones QB room left by Hoke.
December 6th, 2019 at 1:19 PM ^
It has to factor into it. If he is confident he can win the starting spot it may not matter. It also sets up the likelihood of whomever doesn’t win the spot entering the transfer portal the year after next.
December 6th, 2019 at 11:17 AM ^
Okay everyone, you know what to do. Let's ante up and pay this kid. No more excuses. I'd say keeping him out of OSU is more valuable than getting him, so I'm guessing a solid 5 figure bag of cash would do the trick.
I say Mgrowold should be the one who does the deed. Maybe meet him down in Columbus while he's on his visit and tell him there's more where that came from, especially if he beats OSU.
December 6th, 2019 at 11:29 AM ^
I am sure a top 5 QB is a six figure payment.
I decided to use the Angry Football Gods’ hatred of my fandom for profit this year and put a couple of hundo on OSU to win the National Championship at the beginning of the season.
If that happens, I will tithe my winnings to the CJ Stroud bag fund... Hell, I will kick in for Theo too, LOL ?
December 6th, 2019 at 11:32 AM ^
Now if I can just figure out a way to use the Universe’s hatred of the Lions for profit.
you can’t just bet against the Loins, they will cover the spread and still lose. Maybe the better bet would be on some wins now that they are eliminated and only have draft position to play for.
December 6th, 2019 at 12:08 PM ^
I think we should also offer some money conditioned only on him not going to OSU. Come to Michigan and get $100,000, go to USC and still get $25,000. Something like that.
December 6th, 2019 at 12:31 PM ^
This is a brilliant idea. Think about it. If we get caught paying them to go somewhere other than OSU that ISN'T Michigan, who gets in trouble? Not Michigan. Bullet proof.
December 6th, 2019 at 2:20 PM ^
This is exactly what Steinbrenner did for OSU against Michigan in 2001 with Drew. And they haven't looked back since!
Do any Michigan alums own an MLB team? Justin Fields is a big-time baseball recruit...
December 6th, 2019 at 3:56 PM ^
You could come to terms with the fact that OSU gets better recruits because they develop their players better and the new kids recognize that and pick a school where they will reach their ultimate goal. Or, you can just stick with your bitter and delusional resentment.
News flash. All schools have reduced admission standards for scholarship athletes, yes, even the University of Michigan. Also, every single Division I program has special class times and programs (On-line) courses for student-athletes. You look really stupid complaining about academics because you are either blissfully unaware or just willfully ignorant of these facts.
Rashan Gary got an 8 on the Wonderlic. If you are not aware, an 8 is basically functionally disabled. Are you really under the impression that he got into Michigan with a 32 ACT and 1550 SAT? Really? You think all the guys at UM get man-handled by OSU guys because they are all just spending too much time in the library? Grow up!
Don't even get me started on the number of Michigan football players taking "General Studies" and Harbaugh hiring recruits parents to secure players. Or, the fact that UM football and basketball players were named in the Adidas circus and were taking cash.
December 6th, 2019 at 12:28 PM ^
I'll do it for 5% commission.
December 6th, 2019 at 12:46 PM ^
Can you deliver it to him personally so he can say he met Joe Dirt's dad?
December 6th, 2019 at 11:19 AM ^
For 3 of Harbaugh's 5 years he's had transfer QBs as the starter and no one has been blown away by the development of the kids he's recruited (that I'm aware of). Does this have an impact on recruit decisions? What are Jim Harbaugh's selling points to these QB recruits?
