2018 recruiting class guess
QB-Milton RB-Turner OL-Ekiyor,Mayfield,Hayes,Ononda,Faalale WR-Babb TE-Muhumad,Ruckert DL-Hutchinson, Friday,Thompson,Taylor DB-Sims,Green,Green LB-Reese,Simon ATH-Harrison Alternates-Shough,Grahm,Togiai,Carvin,Perkins This is my best guess for 2018 recruiting class. What do you guys think?. I need some experts to weigh in. I am guessing a class of twenty.
I really want those guys. Osu thinks they have them, but as time goes on you can see their confidence is slowly fading. Those guys would be great gets and the more time they take, I think our chances go up. Those two guys would be straight up recruiting battle wins vs. osu.
They like both these kids a lot. Not sure we can get them both, but would be surprised if we didn't get 1 of them. Also something tells me we make room for Gervin, Jlew and Ambry love this kid, hopefully the staff will 2.
we get Trevor Lawrence in a surprise flip.
RB we get unknown RB from California named Nagee Harris.
WR we get LaQuon Treadwell.
TE we strike out again.
OL we get a garbage can with toxic waste. Still an upgrade over Kalis.
Defense doesn't matter Don Brown.

Clearly a terrible attempt at a joke. My bad.
Swing and a miss on my part. Sorry for the bad attempt at a joke everyone.
I mean, there is no doubt that peoples' expectations and predictions are overly positive here for every season.
Well I mean Solomon did Commit to Michigan in June of 2016 so its not like he sprung out of no where in late 2016 to join us.
Im hoping this years Aubrey Solomon, or closest thing to it, is DT Michael Thompson who has Michigan on his radar and is a top 50 recruit. He's a monster.
This years current group of 5 stars isnt showing much interest in Michigan. Half of em are already committed else where and the only one really showing any high interest in Michigan is WR Amon Ra St Brown. BJ Foster has us in his Top 5 or whatever but hes defintely Texas bound
With the new optional earlier signing day in December it seems players are committing earlier than usual
This is who I hope we add and have at least realistic chances at getting. (Players already committed are in parenthesis):
2018 Michigan Commits
DT: Tyler Friday and Michael Thompson Jr
DE: Ronnie Perkins (Aidan Hutchinson)
LB: Shayne Simon
S: (Otis Reese, German Green)
CB: D'Shawn Jamison (Myles Sims, Gemon Green)
WR: Amon Ra St. Brown
TE: Mustapha Muhammad
OL: Daniel Faalele (Emil Ekiyor, Jalen Mayfield, Ryan Hayes)
ATH: James Graham
QB: Tyler Shough (Joe Milton)
RB: (Christian Turner)
That would put us at 20 recruits for 2018. Probaby one recruit too many. I had to force Tyler Shough in there even though I dont want him, but it seems Michigan is clearly where he wants to go.
2QB, 1RB, 1WR, 1TE, 4OL, 4DL, 3CB, 2S, 1LB, 1ATH
Numerous recruits like Faalele, Mayfield, Reese, Turner, Graham etc will be getting boosts in their rating scores so we'd end up in the 280s at least with this list.
2 TE in this class
Ryan Hayes may be a Tight End depending on how his body develops. If we add Muhammad or Ruckert then Im pretty sure we'd be A-OK.
We have 7-8 TEs on the roster as is which is more than most schools and pretty much all of them are Sophmores or Juniors.
Ian Bunting, Tyrone Wheatley Jr, Zach Gentry, Nick Eubanks, Kenneth Ferris, Joseph Files, Dan Jokisch, Connor Edmonds
Im also of the opinion I'd rather get a high level player at a different position as opposed to just taking whatever 2nd TE we can get just because. We need as much raw talent as possible to compete for a championship. If getting a player of the caliber like Perkins or Thompson Jr means we only have 7-8 TEs then thats what I'd do.
Remember this list is what I want not necessarily what the coaching staff is going for. Although I assume its relatively close as these are most of the highest rated players with solid interest in Michigan.
we have great depth at every position.
Hayes isn't going to be a TE long-term. He's not athletic enough even at 250 lbs., let alone once he bulks up in college.
These are my favorites, with consideration to some recruits going elsewhere:
QB: Joe Milton*
RB: Christian Turner*
FB: -----
WR (SLOT): Tre'Shaun Harrison (I see him as a receiver before a safety, but I'd take him either way. Also, Amon-Ra wants to start early, so Martin and McDoom will probably discourage him.)
TE (FLEX): Mustapha Muhammad (Ruckert probably goes to OSU, unfortunately.)
OT: Jalen Mayfield*, Ryan Hayes*, Daniel Faalele (Pass on Tommy Brown, too much depth.)
OG: Emil Ekiyor*, James Ohonba (If Ekiyor leaves, add Curtis Dunlap.)
C: -----
CB: Myles Sims*, Gemon Green*, Isaac Taylor-Stuart
ROVER: Joesph Foucha
FS: German Green*, Sammy Faustin
VIPER: Otis Reese*, Shayne Simon
MIKE: ----- (Pass on Demens)
WILL: -----
ANCHOR: Aidan Hutchinson*
DT: Michael Thompson
NT: Tyler Friday
WDE: One among Bonitto, Tyreke Smith, and Ronnie Perkins, but I don't know which. Who knows, possibly Parsons...maybe...
I know that 21 recruits is stretching it, but with the possibility of decommitments and some other impromptu changes in some recruits' interest in us, the class will probably end up being 19-20.
There's a big get in there that most have on their wish and expectation list that told me himself that he's coming. He inadvertently made it clear that he was in conversation with his recruiting host in front of me. Not sure what the point of him being a silent, or the concept in general is most of the time, but that's what he is and everyone will be happy about it.
Well I only know about one, but I don't follow recruiting as closely as a lot of people do, other than what I read here & Mlive, and what I occasionally hear from players or recruits. I don't want to give any more hints than I already did since he and the team don't want to say it yet for whatever reason.
I should've asked him why they want to wait.
