Flying to Florida tonight. My dad lives in Orlando. A coworker gave him 2 free tickets to the Orange Bowl. 50 yard line seats.

can't remember a worse bowl season than this.  Everyday I flip to ESPN to check the lineup and can't believe how unappealing the games are.  Really, the Northwestern v. Pitt game is the only game I have been able to watch more than 5 minutes of and that is only because I like Northwestern's uniforms.

This is one major problem with these silly bowl games. It just makes them harder to watch. One major thing that separates NCAA football from the shitty NFL is the atmospheres in electric college stadiums. You don't get that awesomeness in NFL stadiums. These lower-tiered bowl games lack energy from the crowd.

Yesterday's slate was much more watchable.

I think Michigan fans have three obvious rooting interests today:

USF and Va Tech to destroy SEC teams, and Colorado to continue being an impressive non-con win.

I'm fairly confident in both USF and Va Tech, but I don't think Colorado can hang with Okie St.

No CMU won. The Lions don't get their win against the packers back after that terrible facemask that led to the hail mary last year. People don't discount that packers win. So why the hell do people insist on discrediting the CMU win?

Because the play literally should not have happened. By rule, the game was already over. There was no judgement call (like the fscemask you mention) or missed call or whatever. The game was over and they incorrectly awarded CMU another play. They completely misapplied the "un-timed down" rule regarding penalties. They got it wrong.

Correct, because rules is rules. There, unfortunately, is a superseding rule that says that the game is over when the refs say it is. No result can be changed after they say it is. I am not a proponent of changing the result of a game. This is the only one I've ever seen where I would have supported it.

the play should never have taken place and only did by way of official error.  The game was over, and the refs incorrectly added another play.  There is a distinction.

I am not discrediting the win.  I really don't care.  I was really just kidding.

He's the interim HC and was the OC and passing game coordinator.

He was on our staff last year.

Think about that...Harbaugh has guys who can go elsewhere and be named interim head coach in analyst and assistant type positions.

That shows you the quality of this coaching staff and the fact as good of coach Harbaugh is - he surrounds himself with other head coaches.

Not sure if he's going to Oregon or staying on at USF though. Definitely a strong offensive mind. Sounds like Jedd Fisch without some of the recruiting chops.

has some cool helmets. Me likely wingy, and well-done helmets. Also, can't forget about South Carolina's defeat of Michigan with Ace Sanders owning Michgian. Don't like-rooting against South Carolina. Go Bulls! Beat the cocks.

What a dagger to end the half. March down the field in one minute to take a 15 point lead into half.

That QB Jake Bentley kid for SC might turn out to be pretty dang good in a couple years. Looks good for a true freshman. Might be able to upset a few SEC teams down the road.
