1,000th all-time win scenarios
Our beloved football team currently has 989 all time wins.
"One game at a time" and "nothing is certain" caveats apply - but IF we manage to get through the season undefeated our 11th game of the season (and potentially 1,000th win) would be against Maryland. On the road.
If we are 10-1 going into the last regular season game we'd be positioned to play OSU on 11/25 for our 1,000th win. At home.
Eventually, we will get 1,000 wins, but does it matter to you who it is against and where it is played?
Good point. That place will sell out for sure if we go there at 999. Not a bad consolation prize for them.
If winning 1K at Maryland means we are 11-0 going into week 12 then that’s what I vote for, not even a hard decision to make
OSU can be the start of our next thousand
Lets get the 1,000th vs Maryland and then all the Buckeyes can hear the entire broadcast how not team has ever won 1,000 besides Michigan. Then lets get our 1,001st that day! Just win baby!
Maryland it is then. May God have mercy on them as the Wolverines certainly won't.
I'm ok with our rival to the south being the first win of the next thousand. Bring on an undefeated season, and a well-earned national championship!
Undefeated so this East Coast guy can make his way to College Park to watch the 1,000th win in person!
1000 and 1001 vs Ohio State both have the same wonderful ring to them. So no preference other than as soon as possible.
Absurd that this is a debate. Just win. We can celebrate each game, championship and historical marker as we hit them
I’d rather be getting #1000 against Purdue. C’est la vie.
