Enow Etta Has Committed to Michigan
The 2023 Michigan Football recruiting class finally has some momentum going and that was exemplified by today's commitment of 4* EDGE Enow Etta:

Etta, from Colleyville, TX, had a long and winding recruitment. The Wolverines seemed like the favorites early on, then Etta's friend, Trey Wilson, was dropped from Michigan's recruiting board and Etta responded negatively. That led to a long period with the two sides drifting apart, a time when Michigan State seemed to be the favorite. Then interest heated back up in June, but it was not without its oddities, as Etta seemed strangely focused on what experts thought, souring on schools if too many recruiting insiders or fans thought he was going to pick that school. Etta claimed he would commit last week, then deleted the tweet minutes after sending it. It was an odd, extremely erratic process. In the end, Etta landed on the school that always made sense, given his interest in academics + football.
As a consensus top 200 prospect, Etta gives Michigan their biggest win yet and lends credence to the idea that the defensive line seems likely to be the strongest part of the 2023 class. He joins fellow EDGE and recent commit Collins Achemapong, in addition to DL Brooks Bahr in the class. Names such as Kayden McDonald, Aymeric Koumba, and My'Keil Gardner could be next up on the list to join the defensive line. Etta is the fifth commit since the start of July, which should help get the ball rolling on momentum needed to salvage this recruiting class.

Impressive tape. Kid is huge and runs well for his size. he knocks people over and gets going fast.

Could be interesting how he grows. He gained a ton of weight in the last year. So he's either a freshman ready player like Derrick Moore or he keeps growing like you said into a 3tech
Apparently Nyck Harbor has decided to focus on offense for the time being.
He wants to keep his weight down for track, not bulk up.
I'll take him wherever he wants to play & figure out how best to use him later!

According to his Twitter handle, he (or his forebears) is a native of Cameroon, and he's a rhino. Having seen a rhino up close (and apparently in a foul mood), this is a good sign for the DL.
