Posting here for visibility for the few that were saying this was just “clickbait” or that he’s not in any real financial trouble. There is still an outstanding debt of $8.3 million that he has yet to pay. He had been selling homes and now this auction where he seems to be selling everything inside them. He’s denying the trophies are for sale now, although I think it may be some PR spin from him once the story broke and started getting tons of press.

“Detroit Lions running back Adrian Peterson has been ordered to pay almost $8.3 million in summary judgment to a Pennsylvania loan company after a defaulted loan in 2016, New York State Supreme Court records show,” ESPN’s Michael Rothstein wrote in January 2021.

“DeAngelo Vehicle Sales LLC sued Peterson in 2018 after the running back failed to pay back an initial sum of $5.2 million, including interest, by March 1, 2017.” Peterson has sold or attempted to sell multiple homes in light of his financial obligations.

I don’t know how to embed or upload pictures on mobile or I would, but they’re in that same auction with roughly 950+ other items including everything from grandfather clocks, Prada shoes, a custom leather chair with AP on it, etc. Making this Gif is the best I’ve got:

I hope they do but I don’t…

I hope they do but I don’t believe they will. If Rod Moore and Makari Paige left early then I think it would be broken. Happy they’re coming back, but would’ve been cool to set the draft record.

Jim saw something in…

Jim saw something in Sherrone. There’s a reason he chose Sherrone as interim HC over anyone else on the staff down the stretch. I hope all UM fans and alumni back him 100% from day one.

Replying here so I don’t…

Replying here so I don’t have to start a new Harbaugh thread. But it appears the Falcons are going to interview Jim a second time next week. Come on Hoodie, he was supposed to lock this up with his second interview today. Can he do anything without Brady?

Yes, another great theory…

Yes! Another great theory that I hadn’t thought of that bodes well for the good guys. So I’ll believe this as well!

I really want to believe…

I really want to believe this…so I will until informed otherwise!

I think it might not be as…

I think it might not be as simple as that. This interview kills multiple birds with one stone for them. Shaw has been OC for Harbaugh before at Stanford. Shaw was out of coaching entirely for the last year and has never been a HC in the NFL before. For an interview with Shaw to be conducted by the same team that just interviewed Harbaugh seems like a not so great coincidence for us.

If I were to guess, Harbaugh has spoken with Shaw about his interest in being OC when/if the Chargers offer him the HC job. So the Chargers fulfill Rooney rule, further vet Harbaugh, and get to hire Harbaugh as HC and Shaw as OC all in one shot with this interview. Again, I hope I’m entirely wrong about this…but Shaw interviewing there doesn’t seem random to me.

They just interviewed David Shaw per Schefter, that may be the last step in vetting Harbaugh. This would seem to be a very random interview since he was retired. It fulfills their Rooney rule obligation while also speaking to someone that was on Jims staff at Stanford. I hope I’m reading the tea leaves wrong here.

They are but they’re just a design. I follow this account on Instagram. He makes custom/concept helmets for NFL and college teams.

I had to look it up, but…

I had to look it up, but Mallet didn’t go pro until 2011 so that’s not too long ago and spread was already everywhere by then. I guess I didn’t realize how long ago Henne had been at UM since he just retired last year.

Two semi-recent Michigan QB…

Two semi-recent Michigan QB recruits that were statues worked out very well in college: Henne and Mallett.

The parking situation is…

The parking situation is less than ideal. There’s really no choice to pay and park anywhere near the stadium except on the golf course. There’s one entrance in and out, that being a winding road down a hill. There’s no side streets or local tricks to getting in or out quickly, and it’s fenced in.

The local neighborhoods that are walking distance usually have strict rules for Rose Bowl day that involve tickets ($$$) or towing. It’s best to ready yourself now for a long wait getting in and out of the place. Here’s hoping Michigan has put me in a good mood and I don’t care about the long wait on the way out!

Same. I was thinking ‘this…

Same. I was thinking ‘this site only crashes when huge shit is happening; Jabrill announcement, Harbaugh it’s happening announcement, immediately after an OSU game, etc.’ I had to google what was going on because I thought something big happened with Harbaugh or another bullshit news story “leaked” for this week from the OSU Private Investigators (no longer referring to them as buckeyes). Someone hurry and prove it’s them because I will never let them or any OSU fan live that down.

Edit: I suck and and can’t embed shit. The David Shuster guy on Twitter said “Friends @umich I’m going to sleep. You should too. Even if the judge has finished her writing, it’s not clear there is somebody to file it and put it on pacer (court doc system) until the am. But justice will prevail for @CoachJim4UM and @UMichFootball. You will see. #Goblue

I truly do appreciate the explanation, but I’m exclusively using an iPhone to post. Let’s see if this works:

Don’t worry. I’ve got a few pictures and gifs/videos that would be great to post…but I can’t figure out a way to do that on mobile. I’ve tried, and I even googled how to do it, but I’ve got nothin’. Let’s see if this works:  Nope.

“Schools sharing signal…

“Schools sharing signal information is not uncommon in college football, multiple sources in the coaching profession told SI, nor is it against NCAA rules. “Every week you call your friends on other staffs and say, ‘Hey, what you got [on our next opponent]?’ ” A current coach with Big Ten experience said. “Everyone does it. Who cares?””

I don’t know, that seems much more positive than anything that’s been out there before tonight.

As a Hoosier born in…

As a Hoosier born in Indianapolis and IU grad this one hurts. I figured something was up after Coach Woodson asked everyone to “say a prayer for Bob Knight” at Hoosier Hysteria a few weeks ago. A flawed man, but a basketball genius that I would’ve gladly volunteered to play for given the opportunity.

Hopefully they bury him upside down as he so famously requested…so his critics may eternally kiss his ass.

So what’s going on with…

What’s going on with Ladarius Henderson? Our run blocking has been pretty bad so far this year and he isn’t listed on this injury list.

Sign up for the Herbert…

Sign up for the Herbert mutant making machine in Ann Arbor. With our player development and culture, as long as we’ve got a stud QB I’m not too concerned with star rankings at any other position. However, if we’re ever going to beat UGA/Bama in the playoff then we’ve got to have a great QB (like Trevor Lawrence and Deshaun Watson were for Clemson).

Seems like a slippery slope…

Seems like a slippery slope to me. A company paying $1,250,000,000 isn’t going to give a shit if every single one of their athletes can’t read, as long as they can recoup their investment somehow (sponsorships, tv money, advertisements, etc). Schools don’t get bought for $1.25 billion. Acting like this is a normal private school occurrence is being deliberately obtuse.

The Vow on HBO is pretty…

The Vow on HBO is pretty nuts. A sex cult involving the Seagrams heiress, actresses, branding of female members, carving the cult leaders initials on the women, etc. The NXIVM cult even managed to look legit enough to attract the Dalai Lama to visit on his US trip in 2018. They had major money before everything fell apart as well.

I truly don’t understand how anyone could fall for this kind of thing in the smartphone and internet age…but it continues to happen.

I appreciate the shoutout so…

Since I got a shoutout I’ll take a stab at it. To me it’s a culture and motivation thing over everything else. It may have taken a few years to finally take hold, but it’s sure fun to watch now. Are our guys putting up numbers in the weight room that no other team in the country can match? Is he using lifts and drills no one has seen before? I don’t think so. (For background I got my bachelors in Health and Physical Education and finished just 4 classes shy of a third major/dual degree in Exercise Science. While I’m not an expert, I’m not a total novice when it comes to nutrition and the weight room.)

It seems like every man in that program is now playing for the man next to him and it shows. If you haven’t seen the video of Blake Corum putting up 30 reps of 225 on the bench get ready to run through a wall. The entire team, led by Herbert who’s right next to Blake, are surrounding him yelling and encouraging him to keep going.

I’m no insider but what I speak of is observable in videos of them in the weight room, on the sidelines, in interviews, and during games. It seems that the culture within the program has totally shifted starting in 2021 with Hutch and is carrying on year after year now. Anyone that’s been a part of a team can tell you how powerful it is when your leader and best player outworks everyone else. Hutch was always a hard worker, but his senior year he was a man possessed. I’ve got to think Herbert had a hand in that motivation to get absolutely everything he could out of him.

As Harbaugh mentions, Herbert is with the players more than anyone else in the program because of the offseason no coach rules. He seems to absolutely max out everyones physical potential. Hutch, Corum, Edwards, Mazi, Turner, Ojabo, the entire OL, etc. etc. Some people have a gift for motivation and he has everyone on the team bought into what he’s teaching. He’s got the formula down for maximizing our guys potential and it’s been evident for a few years.

That’s huge. 2 years of a former 5-Star that’s already been in college for 4 years. With Sherrone Moores’ track record LFG!

How many years of eligibility does he have left?

I’m looking for 2 tickets to…

I’m looking for 2 tickets to the National Championship game should Michigan make it. I live in south Orange County, roughly an hour from SoFi Stadium and could drive to the game. However, looking at the current ticket prices no way am I paying $1400 apiece for nosebleeds. I would gladly pay someone above face value for their seats if they can’t make the game or are looking to sell them for any reason.

Alternatively, my wife and I have a guest room open if you’d like to work out a deal for anyone that say gets 4 tickets but can only use 2. My cell is 317-372-3451, feel free to text me or email me at [email protected]. Yes, that’s an Indy number. My dad and I have had season tickets since ‘92 and he still drives up to most. I only fly back to the big ones now that I live in California.

I know it’s a shot in the dark but that’s all I’ve got currently.

Stokes is getting carries…

Stokes is getting carries again early as soon as Corum goes out. Anyone at the game got eyes on Edwards? Haven’t seen him since the first or second drive, is he even still in pads?

Did something happen to…

Did something happen to Edwards? I haven’t seen him since the second or third drive. Now I’m also drinking Space Dust and watching on an iPad…but anybody have an update?

Unreal. They have 1 fucking…

Unreal. They have 1 fucking first down, 84 yards of offense and we’re down. I’m not worried because our offensive line is kicking ass but come on man. Pound the rock on 3rd and short

My god MSU looks terrible. I…

My god MSU looks terrible. I’m sure they’ll look like the ‘85 Bears against us but I was not expecting this shitty of a performance.

I’m in SoCal in Orange…

I’m in SoCal in Orange County, about 45 minutes south of LA. I’ve been a season ticket holder to UM since ‘92 so I wanted to check out the USC vs UCLA game for comparison. This was a few years ago in ‘16 when both programs were down but the Rose Bowl was not full. It wasn’t half empty but likely 80-85% or so to capacity.

If you think the Big House looks red when OSU comes to town, you should see the Rose Bowl when they play USC. As for regular game attendance, if the rivalry with UCLA/USC doesn’t get a full stadium I can only assume it’s always got some empty sections towards the top.

ND’s new “culture” that Freeman is bringing

I love this, and on the same day the Manti Teo “the girlfriend who didn’t exist” doc comes out on Netflix. I’ve had quite a bit of fun shoving this in my Irish friends faces that have been talking shit about their recruiting for months. After watching the video above, Buckeyes by 50 week 1.

Nirvana Unplugged - Where did you sleep last night.

It was only a few months before Kurt killed himself and it seemed like he knew this would be one of his last live performances. This was the last song of the night, with all the candles around the stage which Kurt requested to make it “look like a funeral”.

When he takes that deep breath and briefly opens his eyes in between “the whole (deep breath) night through” I get chills every time no matter how often I see it. It’s like he’s putting every last bit of himself into finishing this song because he knows there won’t be another performance like this again.

Forgot the /s in your post?…

Did you forget the /s in your post? I hope you did at least.

I totally agree. Freeman is…

I totally agree. Freeman is in the honeymoon phase right now and can do no wrong. No wins and losses, all positive press about how energetic and awesome he is.

I recall another assistant coach they hired that had more experience, better credentials, and recruited extremely well landing all kinds of future NFL talent. How well did all those 5-Stars turn out for ole Charlie Weis?

No one knows whether or not Freeman can actually lead a team and coach/manage a game as a head coach. All the Domer homers are certainly acting like he walks on water right now though…until week 1 when I told my friend I’ll give him 20 points against the nuts in Columbus.

  https://youtu.be/hoLcoLOCEco

I wonder if this guy helped with his recruitment?

The class will still finish…

The class will still finish in the top 25 even if we don’t get a commit from Davis. My ND fan best friend has been giving me shit constantly since they’re on fire this year so I’ve had to actually look into this ranking shit more that I typically do or would like to. Here’s what I’ve seen when I analyze the rankings as of now:

It’s still very early and nearly every school ranked ahead of us until you hit 12th or so on the 247 rankings has 18-20+ recruits committed (compared to our 11 currently with five 4-stars and six 3-stars). Of those schools ranked between 12-35+ with that amount already committed, all of them have at most two or three 4-star players and the remaining 15 are 3-Stars. So if we take a longer view of what our class will finish with I don’t see how we finish outside of the top 20 once we get up to 20+ commits. And if Davis reclassifies and gets added to this class then we will finish no lower than 15th with a shot at top 10.

The bottom line is the sky isn’t falling as the star gazers would have us believe. It just feels that way because of how we all assumed this class would look after making the CFP, beating OSU, and winning the B10.

Welcome young man! I look…

Welcome young man! I look forward to watching you stomp on buckeyes in the Big House for years to come.

It appears Santa is already bringing presents to the good guys. Next up for President Santa, uncork the NIL cannon.

As an IU alum and as big an…

As an IU alum and as big an IU bball fan as I am a UM football fan, Xavier Johnson (and every guard really) should have a huge banana next to his picture. I am not using hyperbole when I say I’ve never seen IU have worse guard play than they have this year (I’m 37). This includes Creans first year when we had all walk-ons and a total of 1 scholarship player on the roster. Rob Phinisee just played the game of his life against Purdue, Johnson actually took care of the ball as well for the first time all season.

As an example, IU led by 7 at half against Iowa last week. On the first 5 possessions of the second half Johnson turned the ball over 3 times and nearly a 4th when he bobbled a pass with no one near him. He turned a 7 point lead into a 1 point lead in less than 2 minutes, by himself.

However, as is typically the case, IU is very tough to beat at home. Woodson has yet to lose in Assembly Hall including the big win over Purdue last night. I expect Trayce Jackson-Davis to come out angry and ready to ball out after the foul trouble and low output against Purdue.

If ESPN Zone on the…

If ESPN Zone on the Boardwalk is shut down I would recommend finding a local Hooters. They’re everywhere in Florida since that’s where they started and typically have some kind of viewing party for big games.
