Aymeric Koumba Has Committed to Michigan
The Michigan Wolverines have added another piece to their 2023 recruiting class as a busy July rolls along, and for the third straight time, it's an edge! Today it's French prospect Aymeric Koumba:

Not much is known about Koumba at this time, given that he lives and trains in France, but since DL coach Mike Elston discovered Koumba recently, the Wolverines were pushing hard. Elston saw Koumba at a camp in June and then pressed to get Koumba in the class before anyone else could find out about him. As you may guess, Koumba does not have a recruiting ranking right now given his residence overseas, but we do know about his good size, gargantuan wingspan, and rumors of plus-athleticism. One week after adding Collins Acheampong to the class, Elston has nabbed another high upside international edge, furthering his goal of recruiting an army of pterodactyls to play the edge position.
There is no content after the jump.
Orlando Pace #75 is the original pancaking guy.
Welcome to UM. Does he get a default 3* now that he committed to UM?
If you give him 3 stars, then all the current recruits who are already 3 stars will want to be bumped to 4 stars.
Sacre blue!
Viva LA France!
I'm calling my buddies to let them know
+1 for the gif of one of my favorite funny characters in comedy movies - Chief Inspector Dreyfus.
All your French pterodactyls are belong to us.
this post is not getting nearly the love it deserves.
Pretty sure in this case it's spelled pterrordactyls
We already have two edge recruits... Am I the only one thinking OSU is gonna steal him with negative recruiting and or playing time ?
Someone on the message board posted image of how he said he wants to play for Larry Johnson. OSU didn't offer.
les buckeyes son farceurs. c'est ne pas le verite, el est azule!
OSU probably doesn't want to spend a couple years developing him, and would prefer to have more of a plug-and-play type of guy. That's fine. In a couple years these two will be terrorizing their QB in the backfield.
6'4" with a 7'1" wingspan?! Wonder if he's still growing or if he just has freakishly long arms/wide shoulders.
Those are the exact same measurements as Jon Jones (UFC) for those that appreciate. It’s a remarkable frame, especially considering how well he uses it (big reach means different leverage).
He’s not a good model for character unfortunately, such a wasted generational talent with a long history of bad choices. Hopefully he turns things around eventually, but it seems unlikely at this point.
Bienvenue Aymeric
Any word he might for the the OL? We have two edges... And it's so bizarre that Sherrone Moore is whiffing, after winning that best OL in nation award.
Turmeric Kumbaya would be a good name in a Key & Peele sketch.
TIL that Aymeric is a common French name, and not just an FFXIV character.
Do more international satellite camps.
They may pay off better than expected...
