Your son is awesome.

Couldn't have said it better myself.
September 22nd, 2010 at 8:51 AM ^
Thanks for not trying.
September 22nd, 2010 at 9:59 AM ^
As a father, I dream for that day. Hopefully I only have 6 months to wait to stay on track with your son. He is a leader to be emulated! Congratulations!

That story makes me want to knock up my girlfriend tonight.
September 22nd, 2010 at 2:39 PM ^
I agree! Your kid has to be the coolest kid ever.
September 22nd, 2010 at 1:52 AM ^
Haha The best story i've heard in a while.
September 22nd, 2010 at 2:28 AM ^
That rules....

I'd love to hear his opinion of Lane Kiffin.

your son sounds smooth.
September 22nd, 2010 at 4:03 AM ^
Your son should replace Lou Holtz or Lee Corso. He seems to know his stuff.
September 22nd, 2010 at 4:57 AM ^
Dude I love this story. There is nothing cooler then watching your young son start to pick up on the awesomeness that is Michigan. This really made me proud to be a Michigan man / no sugarcoat.
September 22nd, 2010 at 7:15 AM ^
Your son is going to grow up to be a very intelligent man.
September 22nd, 2010 at 7:45 AM ^
I get how awesome your son is. Good job dad.
September 22nd, 2010 at 7:51 AM ^
if you look up "Denard Robinson" in the encyclopedia, the entry will read:
American Football Player. Really fast with hair coming out the back of his helmet. If he played on your team, you would win.
September 22nd, 2010 at 8:29 AM ^
That's gonna be my signature for a little while.

I have a 2 year old brother and we all went to the ND-Michigan game. Dad went to ND, but I went to Michigan. So for the past 2 years i've been teaching him Go Blue. My dad had him wearing an ND outfit, so this one big burly Irish fan goes up to my little brother and says... "Goooooo...." and my brother goes "BLUE!" And the guy looked at my dad as if he'd raised him wrong. It was a very fine moment.

That story is a good one. I also took part in a similar story. When I was in the Army, I had a buddy who was a Texas fan, he had a child with an Ohio State fan. Not going to talk about the "baby momma drama" but there was a lot and the two didn't get along. When he had the girl, we spent hours saying GO BLUE to her over and over again. When she was about 18-20 months, somewhere in there she uttered those words, much to the dissapointment of her mother. Great moment.
September 22nd, 2010 at 8:28 AM ^
That's great!!!
Some of you know that I recently adopted 2 children. The boy, who is now 19 months, had been in foster care since birth. His foster parents are OSU fans. By fans, I mean, they couldn't tell me 2 players not named Pryor that play for the buckeyes. Anyway, this past Saturday was the first time he got to go back and visit them since the move. This is what I sent him in.
GO BLUE!

That kid is all kinds of adorable.
Second of all, he's going to be really confused now wondering why his foster parents refused to touch him.

They told me they were going to buy him an Ohio State shirt. I told them I would throw it away. Then they laughed...and I didn't...I think they got the point.
By the way, have you found an agency or anything yet? Are you in Monroe county?
September 22nd, 2010 at 12:06 PM ^
We've got a couple other agency appointments lined up these next couple of weeks. Money is SUPER tight right now, but we made the decision that if we're not financially comfortable with it in a year and a half (28), we're going to just go ahead and do it anyway and find a way.
September 22nd, 2010 at 12:12 PM ^
That was an issue with us, as well. We figured, by the time we think we're financially ready, we'll be retired! Hope everything works out. My wife and I are both from Monroe County. I'm from Erie and she's from Temperance. She actually is a social worker for a hospice company in Lambertville. If you guys ever need anything or have any questions, feel free to ask.
September 22nd, 2010 at 2:43 PM ^
Also, being from Erie, I must ask. What's your take on Frog Legs from the Inn? I love 'em, but I can never get people to try them. Chef Tad is awesome.
September 22nd, 2010 at 10:01 AM ^
Plain and simple, that has "WIN" written over it.
September 22nd, 2010 at 8:27 AM ^
I hereby demand that ESPN replace Lou Holtz and Mark May with your son and the 11-year old girl who asked: "Daddy, why does anyone care about Notre Dame? Have they ever been good?"
September 22nd, 2010 at 8:30 AM ^
Father of the Year

I only see one problem with this that everyone else didnt catch.
Start saving now Harvard can be expensive.
September 22nd, 2010 at 8:51 AM ^
Why attend the Michigan of the East? He's already developing an affinity for the real deal.
September 22nd, 2010 at 9:02 AM ^
to tie his shoelaces!
September 22nd, 2010 at 10:01 AM ^
Maybe one day he will understand that while Denard = winning, Weis = losing.
Then, he is not your little boy any more.
September 22nd, 2010 at 10:12 AM ^
if not, move to Michigan now!
September 22nd, 2010 at 10:21 AM ^
Of course, one day you do realize your son's going to demand that he grows his own hair long.
And naturally, you must let him.
September 22nd, 2010 at 3:16 PM ^
My son told me he needed to be a "big play maker" if he is wearing number 16.
September 23rd, 2010 at 12:41 PM ^
Has he started with the velcro yet?
September 22nd, 2010 at 7:12 PM ^
My 3 year-old daughter learned "The Victors" this season. She sings the song perfectly, except that in place of "valiant" she says "violent." I could probably correct that, but I'm cool with it for now.

kick? Sounds like a smart kid, If he can kick, get that kid a scholarship stat!
