Montana Game Time is 9:50 PM Eastern Thursday
Via a friend associated with the team. I'll update with an official confirmation when I see it. In reality, the game starts 30 minutes after the 7:20 Houston game ends, so it's more like 9:50 ish. Game will be on TBS.

Thanks colblue
Houston is in Central time, SDSU is Pacific time, make them play the later game and besides that we should get the extra 3 hours rest for the Saturday Game because we're the top seed out of those 4 teams.
This is BS IMO!

Think of Houston vs SDSU as the warm-up act for the headliner.

Hey - could be worse - Florida has to play at 9:57pm... :)
If you haven't already taken off Friday, now is the time.
Took both days off before the B1G Tournament.
Cool

Took too much!
To like mentally prepare for the tournament, or for unrelated reasons?
i took off the opening day of baseball. would have gone pro if i was taller, faster, more athletic, and much more skilled.
I do, but that is because I have two kids under three. I'd get fired if I didn't show up on days I slept fewer than 5 hours.
I'm sure your middle school friends are super impressed with how late you stay up.
I can't take Friday off - have mandatory conferences.
At least I will be back from work in time to watch the game Thursday and then I can sleep walk through conferences into the weekend!

I'll still watch at work, but I won't have any fear of missing the home team.
Hell yeah.
DVR it (or Youtube it) and watch it in the morning.
Yeah, but we could have played Friday instead. This is the 4th of 8 possible timeslots.
Well, I won't be getting a lot of sleep, but I'll take it over the dreaded "PLEASE DON'T TELL ME ABOUT THE GAME, I'M DVR'ING IT!" situation during the day.
I hate it when any game we're in is in that 12-4 space on Thursday or Friday, although sometimes over the years we've been lucky enough that someone has taken over a conference room and had the game on and we have a very nice and productive meeting.
I worked it a few years ago and learned it is a horrible experience.

Remember when the CBS Sports link would have the "Boss Button"?
You clicked on the button when the boss walked by, and a fake spreadsheet would pop up to make it look like you were doing real work instead of watching the tournament.
The game starts at 6:50pm PT, should be over by 9. What time do you usually go to sleep? Right after the early bird dinner special?
and assuming he meant it's the worst part of Michigan being in the west regional, not living in the western part of the US.
Otherwise... sheesh.
I think he's talking about Michigan's placement in the West regional. (Though that's not why the game is on then.)
Being in the West region has nothing to do with it.
What the heck are you talking about?
The last games of the day, across the country, start around 10 PM ET and end around midnight. That's true for the east coast and west coast locations both.
If they were in Detroit, they'd be tipping off at 10 PM local time. That's just the way the tournament works.

More regionals on the west coast? That would just make the problem we already have worse. There were two west coast regionals this year, and only 1 preferred seed that would prefer either spot. And this isn't a recent problem, every year there are significantly more top-end teams on the East coast than out west.

A lot of college basketball games start at 9 p.m. local time throughout the season.
Michigan had two home games this year that started at 9:00. I would say your guess of less than 10 nationwide is a poor guess.
