MLive is fucking useless.
I use MLive for one thing and one thing only: being in the real estate industry, I look for higher profile crime incidents like shootings that might impact the values or just perceptions of the immediate areas that they happen in. That's it, MLive has no other value of any kind to me.

Aside from that, there are sites that you can use to get crime profiles right down to the subdivision and street level using current data, so I am also kind of perplexed as to why one would even bother with a news site to get that information nowadays.

Yeah, Crime Mapping and such is a thing, but more for the real estate consumer than for me. It almost has too much information. You want to freak yourself out? If you're in an urban area, crime map your neighborhood and you'll see how much crap goes on that you were totally naive to.

No, but I own some rentals, and then I do sell homes to other investors or people that want a starter home, and those can be in some marginal areas, of course. It doesn't really create an opportunity for a 'discount', but I just kind of want to know if something pretty ugly happens on a particular, block, street or neighborhood. It's a habit I developed when I used to do the same work in Chicago and you kind of had to pay attention.

additionally, there was an interesting study that showed that "writing your elected official" and/or e-mailing the official e-mail addresses tends to have the most influence and officials and management confirm use that type of communication as a barometer for public opinion.
Moreso so than news articles and angry phone calls.
just fyi

Is disgusting. The page isn't moderated by Aaron or any of the writers but their digital staff. It's the same group of morons that made that tombstone MSU graphic and used a photo of a former player who was murdered like less than a month before that picture was published. That page needs to be blasted into the sun.

Kids cry at the drop of a hat. Then they move on. It has no deep meaning to them.

Oh man, I thought MLive was above horrible click-baity articles and tasteless humor
// said by no one ever.
How people can make fun of a little kid being emotional is beyond me. He's fucking 8 years old; there are man-babies in the crowd who react far worse and don't have "I have a bed time" as an excuse.

I understand protecting a child from negativity, but I thought before seeing the cause of his anxiety, that the kid was taken to task by posters on Mlive.com, not that his reaction was captured as part of the video coverage. I mean for TV, that is what a producer is seeking, and so emotional responses will always be sought out and shown, regardless of the context.
Perhaps one of the most iconic photos of the post assassination of John Kennedy, was his son saluting as his casket on a military cortege passed by him, his mother and sister. It was a remarkable moment.

How is MLive bullying? The clip already went viral. All this article does is clarify that it was a Harbaugh. Offers no other commentary.
You can be mad at the people sharing it on Twitter or the Fox camera man for picking it up if you want I guess. Seems like an overreaction.
