Big Ten officiating is atrocious
16 penalties for 141 yards on Michigan and many of them of the dubious variety compared to 5 for 55 yards on IU. Multiple uncalled holds, multiple uncalled pick plays, multiple uncalled intentional groundings. Either big ten refs are incompetent or corrupt but the result is the same. Refs nearly handed IU the game. Not saying UM played perfect (they clearly didn't), but that was bad.
UPDATE: BTN just said the 16 penalties is an all time record.

Yes. It was give and take, but that "PI" on Long in OT was ab.so. lute. HORSE SHIT.

Is the refs had cooled off significantly on flags in the 2nd half, to the point they missed at least one obvious intential grounding. And then suddenly they call that BS ticky-tack crap in OT? GTFO with that shit.

The missed block in the back on the punt was awful. Totally changed the game.

And the "hold" by the center on the last punt? Dude basically just fell over. Terrible call.

Yep that was just a good play. What pisses me off is Wischusen and Huard not having the stones to say that was a bullshit call.

How they did not call intentional grounding with 20 seconds left or whatever is beyond me. There was no one in the area he threw to.
October 14th, 2017 at 5:04 PM ^
Or what about the one with like 3 second left? That was a clear throwaway from the pocket. Not quite as obvious, but it also could have been called.

Michigan had the advantage in favorable calls (though the refs were horrid for both sides). Michigan does seem to get the shaft in the majority of games though. I think a lot of refs don't care too much for Harbaugh's personality/antics.

Just last week...The refs screwed Michigan to the tune of 7-8 missed or blown calls vs MSU
I'm assuming you're trolling...

The refs got a few pluses for the good guys in Brian's UFRs compared to a couple minuses which matched with what I saw on TV. Bad officiating both ways but a few more calls went our way.
October 14th, 2017 at 5:26 PM ^
I don't feel like UM used to get consistently screwed until Harbaugh showed up. I'm not sure why, but the refs really seem to hate him and UM has been shafted pretty regularly since Harbaugh became the HC.

But that is not a new thing.
They did get the on-sides kick call correct.
And shouldn;t M have an at least average offense? That would made questionable officaiting irrelevant against teams like IU.

Not all of the PIs were good calls, that's the thing. 2 were, maybe a 3rd. The OT call was terrrrible.

October 14th, 2017 at 4:48 PM ^
And then yea, it wasn't even a catchable ball, clearly the receiver wasn't even concerend with any PI or holding and the throw had no chance of getting to the receiver. Just a dumb flag that had no iota of sense to it.
