Speight was not good. Run game was ok. Seemed like Onwenu & Ulizio couldn't figure out how to switch on a twist for much of the game

Red zone offense is attrocious and I see little of the creativity in play calling that we've seen the last two years. Speight also seems to have less of a grasp on the offense than he did last year, which makes no sense.

if I was the only one wondering if he was regressing. It just seems like the more we see of him on the field the worse he looks. The playcalling didnt help much today, but Wilton is supposed to be one of the more experienced players on the offense, not one of the ones making just as many mistakes as the younger guys. At one point I screamed "YOURE THE QUARTERBACK VERSION OF BENJAMIN BUTTON" at my TV. It scared my dog, and she peed on the rug (shes 14). Now I feel bad, and I have dog pee on the rug

Fisch? Isn't he gone?
September 9th, 2017 at 5:26 PM ^
Their red zone offense has been BAD. Last season, they were pretty decent, ranked #42 and converted TDs on 44/68 attempts. This year, they are 1/6.
Hammering Panda has been a complete non-factor.
September 9th, 2017 at 6:50 PM ^
Hill will get his TDs if they ever get to the goaline. But they have found an array of ways to fuck up close to the endzone so far.

I would just like to say that Speight does have the option to come back next year. And I don't think he's good enough to get drafted...

Whatever the Offensive stats say . . . they lie.
September 9th, 2017 at 3:47 PM ^
The stats reflect the score. We out gained them over 2-1. Speight's NUMBERS look good. But we all saw it. We know how bad we played and how off those numbers are
September 9th, 2017 at 6:37 PM ^
Cincinnati is a really bad team.
September 9th, 2017 at 3:46 PM ^
Turrible. But for the fact that we seem to have a true feature back now, I thought it looked pretty suspect today. Speght had Tacopants + bad decision-making problems today. Can't throw for a yard or two on third and long.

If he wasn't a Harbaugh mainstay, Drevno would get so much more criticism here and among Michigan fans in general.

Shit man, that Purdue game in two weeks -- which is AT Purdue -- suddenly looks terrifying. They are going to put up points on this defense and secondary. I'm not positive we have the horses on offense to keep up.
September 9th, 2017 at 9:21 PM ^
Wisco looked worse than us today and last week. They won by less than we did and have similar offensive problems.
OSU and PSU are the big threats, not the Badgers.

NO more, I'd rther lose with anyone on the bench than him! He makes thegame so hard by missing widee open crossing routes, fumbles a hand off on the 3, hands the ball off on jetsweep just under crawfords facemask etc etc HE gotta go.
September 9th, 2017 at 3:47 PM ^
need a houma type full back.
need a real top shelf running back. isaac is decent but not a feature back.
WRs and TEs are all young.
something is wrong with speights throwing arm - no touch at all/has to over power the throws and sails them.
line needs to play better. RT is weak. RG is decent but needs improvement.
September 9th, 2017 at 3:50 PM ^
If this game and last week's didnt convince you that Isaac is a feature back, I'm not sure what you consider a feature back to be - NFL-level backs like Adrian Peterson an Zeke Elliot? Isaac may not be a league-level feature back, but he is emerging to be our feature back.

Either he's become far more afraid of the footsteps or he's hurt.
My guess is after the collar bone injury last year he's not the same guy ... his throw is n% off and I guess that's enough to create the problems we're seeing. Just a guess.
September 9th, 2017 at 4:31 PM ^
after a game in which he looked really, really good. Every bit the part of a top shelf running back. Showed speed, vision, power, the ability to bounce quickly for a big man.
I would have agreed with that comment a lot more before the season, before Isaac actually has looked top shelf. I didn't buy last week as a thing but after this week, that might be a thing.

Hill is a Houma type of full back. Isaac has done well in the first two games. Agree with the rest of what you said.
