Edit: Apologies for horrible spelling in first OP; post from mobile device and no time to proofread. I will now hang my head in shame.August 23rd, 2017 at 7:37 AM ^

Aren't chaps, by definition, assless? Otherwise, aren't they just pants?

I don't know but here's a papillon...

It is a competitor with the "M" missing. LIke OSU, or PSU, etc.

I get making mistakes when there's something urgent to report ("hello" or "goodbye" posts, injuries or something bad happening to MSU, OSU or ND) but common OP. A random thread about something bordering on OT that's not really important, funny or that amusing? Surely you could've taken the 2.5 seconds to proof the 14 words you typed this morning.

But that article made me want Michigan to hold that belt/title by winning it. Can't have too many trophies, right Jim?
August 23rd, 2017 at 2:18 PM ^
And the moment Michigan wins it, there will be a predictable thread with a huge spreadsheet on Michigan's record against other teams that have, too.
August 23rd, 2017 at 8:31 AM ^
I like the idea but the execution could use some work. Instead of simply awarding it to whomever wins the game it should go to the team who has a coach or newspaper say something ridiculous about the game. Defeated with Dignity comes to mind.

And this is exactly what is wrong with our country. Damn millennials giving out trophies for everything!
August 23rd, 2017 at 8:42 AM ^
It's MY generation that's giving the "damn Millenials" trophies for everything.
They are catchers, not pitchers, in the Participation Trophy game of life. Not their fault idiot parents decided that every child needs to be a special snowflake with an award just for being you.

That is why some choose to spit, not swallow

I have a different interpretation that arrives at the same conclusion.
The Baby Boomers were an extremely materialistic generation, and have set things up so that it's very difficult for future generations to enjoy the same type of material wealth. College debt is many times what it was even 30 years ago, and home prices have likewise skyrocketed. The top 10% will always be fine, but it's difficult for an average 20-something-year-old to achieve financial stability just by working hard, like their parents could.
So it makes sense that Millenials would be less interested in busting their asses to achieve material wealth, when that's not really as possible as it was for their parents.

Tennessee plays the Gamecocks on Oct. 14. So if Will Muschamp’s team can beat the Wolfpack and then win five more games to start 6-0, the Vols will get a chance to win this thing back as soon as Week 7. A chance to become the first-ever two-time Champions of Life champ is awfully tantalizing.
I mean, if Tennessee was going to have a shot at a dynasty in anything, it was going to be this, right?

USF currently holds the Harambelt this season. It went from Cincinnati to Houston to Navy and then to USF.
The belt could enter the Big10 if USF maintains the belt until the week they play Illinois.
