It's Thursday. It's a drinking thread.
THUD
"There's a problem.
No Oberon in the fridge ".
I guess we're having Oberon tonight.
Oh yeah my son texted me the same thing. Of course he's only 7, but, yeah...
I'm high!
Up, up to the sky.
OG Blueberry Kush ftw, Clarence.
Arnold Palmer Half iced tea half lemonade
If you're in Philly get some Victory Dirt Wolf. It's a great double IPA that's gonna get you wrecked like that G&T but have a kickass full beer flavor. Best of luck.
The sun is high, the aspens are quaking, and a gentle breeze perfectly offsets some mild heat under the bluebird. No water in sight, but it still has to be: Corona. I love this season too.
I'll be having a Dantonio, neat.
Recipe? Take a chilled martini glass. Add a dash of aromatic bitters. Then add another dash. Keep adding dash after dash after dash after dash until the glass is filled. And a splash of Ramazotti.

He is doing a great job. I honestly haven't had much of his hops yet but I hear they're [retty damned good (Special Sauce, etc.).
Drinking bourbon, as per usual. Went with some Weller 12 year to start off with. Just received the J Riddle "Peated Bourbon Whiskey" from Detroit yesterday in the mail. Thought it was an interesting take on bourbon. Started off smoky like a nice scotch and had a little bit of bourbon heat at the end. Not too bad from a Michigan distillery, but as always the best stuff comes from Kentucky! Anyone else have any really special bourbons lately? I have about a quarter of a bottle of Blade and Bow left, I can't find it anywhere... Its outstanding pick up any bottles that you might run into, because as far as I can tell its super hard to find! Happy Drinking my MGoBrethren!
I'm not a huge fan of Angels Envy (a little too sweet for me), but MacAllen 15 is amazing. My roommate collects single malt scotch and I collect bourbon, so our combinded collection is pretty awesome. The MacAllen 12 french oak cask (in blue bottle) is great too for a bottle under $100!
as the original Woodford of the early 90's, though aged in once-used barrels. Technically not a bourbon, but called Boondocks. It's amazing Utterly amazing.
I'm opening Two James Grass Widow on Sunday as a gift to myself. It's my "everyday special" for lfie's little celebrations.
I've also got a bottle of Breckenridge in the office that I'm holding out for special event. Anybody had that one? I've heard good things.
Weller 12 is on my buy list, as I found a "poor mans pappy" mix.
Collecting bourbon is tough nowadays. I used to work at a liquor store here in Bozeman, MT when I was going to school. I was able to get my hands on some pretty sweet bottles of bourbon: George T Stagg, Stagg Jr., Pappy 10, Pappy 12, Blood Oath Pact #2, Blood Oath Pact #3, most of the Orphan Barrel collection, Weller 12 yr., Eagle Rare 17, Rock Hill Farms. Those are just the ones I can think of off of the top of my head. Hard to find now, have buddies looking all across the country constantly. Maybe we should start a MGoBourbon Club and see who can get a hold of some of these rare bottles and maybe send some back and forth...???
So I'm always getting lit with my dogs; Sammie (old black lab mix) and Ash (one year old Rottweiler pup). Ash is currently help me work out by doing Rottie curls with a rope in my left hand and drinking bourbon in my other hand. Gotta switch hands every couple minutes because a 100 lbs Rottie pup gives you a good pump when you curl them!
Oyyyyyyyyy
Just cracked open a 90 IPA. Not an IPA guy generally but man I love this one. Also, have a Founders Doom in the fridge but probably going to leave that for tomorrow.
I lied, drinking the Doom right now.
