Seems reasonable.
I figured we're all gonna miss the guy and his contribution to the world of gifs but mostly his all around awesomeness.
before I even clicked on the link. I don't get all the negging here for this. I thought you were clever.
I thought it was a fitting tribute to a man who could turn your blood cold with just a few words or communicate something hilariously evil in much the same way.
I accept that I could have spelled it out in an earlier post, I just figured more people knew who Powers Boothe is and might have working internet. I do wonder how many people just use the gif and have no idea who the guy is or why he is/was such a terrific actor.
fun on the interwebs. In summary...yes, he was a great actor and I totally understood your post. :-)
Why, Johnny Ringo, look like somebody just walked over your grave...
I assume this is basketball related? Who announced?
Deez Nuts
I don't get it. Are you leaving? the world ending? The blog closing? Someone break up with you? The possibilities are endless! Let us know
O/T, but seems pretty on topic with how often that gif gets used around here.
My twitter says nothing about anything that would lead me to understanding this thread. And instead of explaining it all you can say is, "Check out twitter."
with a little of his own magic.
I'll miss the cocksucker.
Thank you. OP should get 3 month ban for excessive evasiveness.
was that so hard, OP? At least make it OT so I know not to waste my time. -1 to OP administered. **groan at myself for being so lame about board rules but serisouly this is a bad thread and even worse title**
I'll second that. Amazing, haunting soundtrack by Ry Cooder stuck with my for years.
binge watching Deadwood. I did watch it when it came out, but ended up missing several episodes.
To me, Powers Boothe will always be the bad guy in Sudden Death whose motive for wanting to blow up the old Igloo in Pittsburgh (because the VP was visiting for Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final) I still don't understand 22 years later.
So were the terrorists gathered around the television during game 6 rooting for the Pens to win and force game 7? What if the Pens lost? Pack up the C4 and wait for the Arena Football final?
RIP Cy Tolliver.
Exactly. IMHO, Luc Robitaille is the hero of the movie because his last-second goal forces OT, delaying the mayhem. I guess the only saving grace of the film is that those were the actual hockey players playing, from Tony Amonte and Chris Chelios to Ken Wregget and Robitaille.
"So, let's blow up Pittsburgh's arena during the Stanley Cup!"
"Great idea! That will show everybody. Killing their second most important politician during a big game in their fourth or fifth favorite sport. Anyway, game 1 is Thursday and game 2 is Saturday. I think we can have everything in place by Saturday."
"No, it should be Game 7."
"But, only about 30 percent of series even..."
"I said Game 7!!!"

It was over. But you did not know that at the time.
Do you see me?
