100%
They're awful, but that's a byproduct of the whole color rush concept being awful.

The only season they wore those pants. That was also the last year of Barry.

What you mean, "you people?"
The WCF patch is permanent. I'm not sure why it's not on the jerseys they revealed, but they made it a permanent part of the logo. I hate having a reminder every time I look at their uniform that they're owned by losing management. It's bad enough the field is made from exploding tires.

George Halas founded the Chicago Bears, led them to 6 NFL championships and was one of the original inductees into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
William Clay Ford inherited his money, used it to buy the Lions, where he proceeded to be one of the worst owners (in terms of on the field performance) in thie history of U.S. professional sports.
Only one of these people deserves a permanent patch.
I wouldn't mind a patch if it simply was accurate—the only appropriate Lions patch should read "WTF"

I literally laughed out loud.
Lions ownership...
Hate the blue pants. So of course the silver uni is the color rush jersey.

Dude.
They have won one playoff game in 60 years.
They're bad.

I think we take "team" to mean different things. When I think of a team, I think of what you're calling the franchise. You seem to be using the word team to mean a particular season with a particular group of players. That's valid.
I mean, it's obvious that the Lions haven't been one of the worst teams in the NFL over the last few years. It's so obvious that I assumed that's not what was meant. Equally obvious that they have been without a doubt one of the NFL's worst teams in the last 60 years.
Might as well give up then, since by that logic, they always will be.
I think that's the point.
Why are Lions fans so fanatical? What are they supporting? An owner who doesn't give a shit and rakes in all the $$$ from TV and merchandise.
The Lions as a franchise, maybe not the last few years, suck. There's nothing on the horizon which even says a playoff win is a lock.
By way of comparison, in the time the Lions have sucked, Cincy has been to the SB twice. TB has won a Superbowl. The Lions have won 1 playoff game. There's not a worse franchise in the league over that period. Cleveland, expansion teams, everyone else, has accomplished more than the Lions.

I mean, I have given up on the Lions.
But of course they could be good.
There's nothing that makes it impossible, even though they - the team as a whole, a franchise - are not good now. So you're reading something that's not there when you say "by that logic."

Yea for .500 football!
Gah, why mess with their throwbacks, though? The Lions throwback unis were the best ever . . . for any franchise . . . in any sport.
Edit: But for the most part, I really like these new unis.

It could just be my monitor, but the blue looks lighter in these new unis. The previous throwbacks had a darker shade of blue. They weren't honolulu. To me, they looked badass.
