You want spring practice rumblings. Magnus has you covered.
There's even a special appearance by one of this site's old friends (with apologies to Mr. Yost) in the comments section. Hurry before all the internet is gone.

Re WR's, really bummed to hear about Perry. I think he's getting a hell of a raw deal after reading the details in the police report.
I want to avoid getting too political, so maybe he's getting a raw deal, but bad things happen when you mess around with the police. I don't get why that's such a difficult concept for so many people.
Yes, and bad things happen at State when you don't have 'home court' advantage. If you are a State guy like Demetrious Cox you get a littering fine for punching a cabbie and refusing to pay the fare. But cutting in line and then running from someone who tells you to stop warrants a serious penalty if you go to U of M. Fuck them.
That's the thing - when you screw around, you leave your fate in the hands of OTHER people. You never know how that will turn out. Sometimes they're lenient, and sometimes they put you in a vise.
I agree, I just think he is getiting a raw deal. I hope he learns from this and it works out for him.
Who is perry's lawyer?
EDIT: i ask b/c there is a fair likelihood that i'll know the person. i don't mind reaching out and getting some details that are cleared for public consumption.
which is an acronym for the holmes youthful trainee act. it is a procedure where a given defendant under the age of 21 (and now for some things, 25) can plead guilty, even do jail or prison time, but if they get through a probationary period successfully the case goes away as if it didn't happen. it also becomes a 'non-public' record.
it is not required that the prosecution agree to this, but it sure does help if you are trying to persuade a judge to do this.
Maybe. I have some doubts that the book gets thrown at Michigan players in the City of Ann Arbor, but maybe I'm wrong. For example, it seems like several of our guys have had alcohol issues that didn't get pushed very hard. Jourdan Lewis is going through something right now that isn't completed, so we'll see how far that goes.
I'd be interested to see how MSU players have fared when getting into trouble in Ann Arbor. Does anyone remember such an incident?
EDIT: I also know of one player on a past Michigan team (within the past decade) whose sexual assault was swept under the rug. He's a very well liked player 'round these parts. If you don't know who I'm talking about...that kind of proves my point.
If it were proven in a court of law, then it couldn't have been swept under the rug. We would all know about it.
That being said, I'm not in the business of taking down the powers that be. I'm no Wolverine Devotee. I'm just saying that I think MSU guys probably get home cooking in East Lansing, and Michigan guys probably get home cooking in Ann Arbor, at least to some extent.
EDIT: I typed a bunch more here, but I'm deleting it. I'm just not going down this avenue any further.
This should have been pled out and done by now. Either Perry's attorney is a moron or the prosecutor did not offer a plea and is way way to over zealous.
when I run from the police I do not get caught. Maybe if Perry was the athlete I am he would never have had to go through this. Or maybe being drunk makes escaping them slightly harder.
Just watch baker mayfield try to run from the cops hahaha
The sad fact is that could apply to many of our former presidents.
They create a new cabinet position for you. Secretary of Grab Ass.
You don't have to wink and say "boys will be boys" to believe that a career ender and jail time is pretty harsh for a mid-argument ass grab. And taking a felony charge to a jury for (very briefly) running from the cops? This sort of thing almost always gets plead down, and Perry is apparently not being offered that choice. He deserves some punishment, but this still seems like a raw deal unless there's something much worse than what's in the reports (which seems unlikely, since it was in front of witnesses).
Career-ender and jail time? What do those two things have to do with each other? A lot of players go to jail and still continue their playing careers, albeit sometimes at a different school.
My daughter had that happen to her in a Seattle bar. Slapped the shit out of the guy and got him kicked out. She's recovered nicely. No signs of life-long psychological damage.
Yeesh, some of the writing at Rivals and Scout is terrible.
Same here, then I read about our safety depth in the next sentence and I'm slightly terrified if someone gets hurt. We really need to land a couple studs at safety this recruiting class.
You're about to lose control...and I think I like it.
I’ve heard a few good things about Ty Isaac, but previous hype has led to just a bit of playing time, so an absence of hype means . . . I don’t know.
Still kind of interested in seeing what ultimately comes of Ty Isaac and if he sees the field a little more often. Evans, Walker and Higdon as the top three at RB seems about right, in my own estimation.
I guess the vibe coming from me is that Harbs wanted a power runner in these big games (Isaac = 0 carries vs OSU and FSU). He's found himself on the doghouse for 2 years now.
Isaac also fumbles a lot which is probably why Harbaugh doesn't put him in for extended periods.
Isaac fumbled twice in 2015 and zero times in 2016. That's two times in 108 attempts, both of which were in October (IIRC) of 2015. While that's certainly not Mike Hart-level ball security, I think saying it's "a lot" is a mischaracterization.
I imagine unicorns snorting cocaine while playing in a bouncy house.
That doesn't mean it happens.
(But it totally happens, and you know it.)
Unicorns snorting coke?!?
You've just shattered my world view of unicorns, dude. Way to go.
Funny, he just reinforced mine.
I do remember one play in particular against Wisconsin deep in Michigan's end when it was tied. He almost lost the ball without being touched, in what would have been a game changing fumble. I was at the game and distinctly remember Wheatley ripping him a new asshole on the sideline for what seemed like a solid 5 minutes. IIRC, he didn't get any more carries that game.
