JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jaguars and reserve guard Patrick Omameh have agreed to terms on a new contract, his agents announced on Twitter on Tuesday evening.
Once more, into the Frey!

It is shocking how bad Brady Hoke and staff were at managing the offensive line. I think back to when Omameh graduated, and most of the people on this board (including, whole-heartedly, myself) believed that getting the old RR personnel out and Hoke's new guys in was going to be an instant upgrade in the OL. Guys like Omameh were thought to be the problem when the OL struggled in 2012; it turns out that the problem was the guys coaching them.
I would be delighted to be wrong, but it's possible that Omameh has a better career than any Hoke OL recruit that completed his career at Michigan.
It's certainly looking that way. Cole's got some real promise, but I dunno if you'd call him a Hoke player, since he only had 2014 with him
This makes me wonder how Funk still gets work as an OL coach; he's on the new Indiana State staff someone posted the other day. Must be a really nice guy? Have a lot of dirt on people?
That's how.
It's actually a pretty good school. But the football program sucks.
school with "State" in the name is any good.

/maybe
There are plenty of good schools with bad football programs.
And with a second Funk on the staff as TE coach.
I think Braden's game is suited well to the pros, and that he will stick.
I'm kind of amazed how long Omameh has stuck in the NFL. At first I was like "Oh, 2* guy? Maybe he'll be a good depth player or even a starter one day". Now he's been in the NFL for like 5 years now
Don't forget, Omameh had the critical block on Denard's big run at ND. Pancaked 5* and future high NFL pick T'eo in to the safety. That 2-for-1 block sprung Denard.
I looked for a vid with a better angle, but it was just not happening out there
And that safety was first-round pick and current Pro Bowler Harrison Smith.
good job
