Notes
*Games Featuring major clubs are in bold.
*Champions League Knockout Round is played over 2 legs, and this is the first of them. Also, in the knockout round, and only then, away goals are factored into the aggregate for advantage in place of an overall draw.
*Europa League Round of 32 is played over 2 legs, and this is the second and final.
*If you don’t see a league or team listed that you want to follow and discuss, let me know and I’ll add it (within reason). I’m not going out of my way to make sure Scunthorpe or Drogheda United are covered here.
*These are Central Time. Because I live in Central Time.
Enjoy, cheers, and Go Blue!

*These are Central Time. Because I live in Central Time. But most of the rest of us are in the Eastern time zone. You could do us a solid.

Counter-offer.
I'll do all the leg work for these posts. You look at the time and add an hour in your head.
Ball's in your court, jm.

We don't have to take that from you guys in the freak time zones. We are 47% of the U.S. population, man. And about 99% of the population of Michigan. (A little bit of the U.P. wants to be a rebel.)
Seriously, though, it's probably helpful to use the time that most people here live in.

Do what now.
February 22nd, 2017 at 10:43 AM ^
sorry. I was on mobile and there was a post from someone called bulewings or somethng talking about the KHL (it was a tongue-in-cheek shot at soccer fans). Now it's gone so I get to look like the jackass, lol

I am surprised Leicester has made it this far after the EPL they are having. Will be interested to see if they can continue their run in the CL after being 1 point above relegation zone in the EPL. Alays fun to watch the "Old Lady" play as I never much about them in Serie A, but are always solid in the CL.

I expect LCFC to get murdered today. They've been completely lifeless lately.
February 22nd, 2017 at 10:04 AM ^
They made it this far because they had an easy group. Like, really easy. But who knows, maybe they've been laying in the weeds in EPL season
February 22nd, 2017 at 10:27 AM ^
I think "laying in the weeds" IS how you'd describe LCFC's defense -- as in, Huth and Morgan are sooo old and slow, they are basically sitting in the grass as opponents dance around them.
LCFC really, really, really, really misses Kante. We all knew he was special last year; now we just see how special he is. Stunningly -- this completely amazes me -- he will be the first player EVER to win the EPL title two years in a row, for different clubs. I'm surprised no one's ever done that before. Like, in the NFL, there was some guy who was on all Super Bowl winners the first 20+ years (I learned that in a TV commercial).
Whatever LCFC was doing last year to mask their defensive woes, this year, the Truth is Out There. They are sooo old and slow. Morgan spent 10 years in the Championship for a reason -- he's, uh, not that good.
Vardy is back to being a nobody, Mahrez is ordinary, they spent $60M on two guys who both utterly suck, etc. LCFC is going to get relegated.
Sevilla 4-0. And that's cuz Sevilla goes easy on them.
February 22nd, 2017 at 10:37 AM ^
LCFC's performance this year makes last season even more mystical, to me. What an unbelievable run they put together.
February 22nd, 2017 at 9:31 AM ^
UM from Sydney downvote will be at 9:42.
February 22nd, 2017 at 9:33 AM ^
That was good for one belly chuckle.
February 22nd, 2017 at 10:43 AM ^
Pretty close.
February 22nd, 2017 at 10:57 AM ^
Wow. 9 years as a user on this site and I never knew we had that level of stalkability. Very interesting. I was wondering how you knew it was always him...now I see, yep, he literally does it every day! Thank god there's a guy on the internet who can remind us how much soccer sucks!
February 22nd, 2017 at 11:00 AM ^
Dude hates soccer, makes it annoyingly known to all and every soccer thread has like 9 positives and 1 negative. Just kinda funny.
But then again, we also have one poster who constantly reminds me that I don't care about basketball either.
February 22nd, 2017 at 4:30 PM ^
He'll do the same for every baseball game thread, some things never change.
February 22nd, 2017 at 9:51 AM ^
February 22nd, 2017 at 10:22 AM ^
The plan is anything major.
Starting tomorrow, the info will contain English, Spanish, German, French and Italian club matches. Also, any major event. So we will cover the USMNT and UEFA World Cup Qualifiers. Whatever is going on in the world of soccer that day, i'll throw on the schedule.

Is having Europa League on Wednesday a new thing? What happened to Thursday Spursday?
February 22nd, 2017 at 10:34 AM ^
I was wondering the same thing. I guess there's a lot of fixture congestion in Europe, and so they had to modify the schedules for the cup matches. I know MUFC had their Sunday EPL game against City moved because of their EFL Cup championship game against Southampton.
February 22nd, 2017 at 10:53 AM ^
So glad we have these threads here now. As a huge City fan, and futbol fan in general, I am so happy to have a place to discuss the sport with smart, logical fans. Being a City fan, I am thoroughly exhausted from yesterday's thriller. That would be the game I show all the soccer haters why we love this sport so much. The sports ranks second only to Michigan football for me, and I played college basketball!!! Good luck to Leicester today, hope they can shock the world!
February 22nd, 2017 at 11:00 AM ^
Who knew Glen Rice was a City fan?
February 22nd, 2017 at 11:01 AM ^
But you aren't allowed to like other sports besides anything Michigan here. That's frowned upon.
February 22nd, 2017 at 12:41 PM ^
There's a lot to talk about right now?
February 22nd, 2017 at 2:45 PM ^
until soccer season ends. You have a long mgoblog road ahead of you
February 22nd, 2017 at 4:13 PM ^
he could just stay on the ot science thread or the mind blowingly important Tom Brady points the finger at Edelmen thread, but no, he has to come hear and make a stupid post. Neg this little bitch.
February 22nd, 2017 at 11:47 AM ^
If anyone is interested, I will soon be beginning a daliy soccer thread that plagiarizes the form of this one completely but uses a real time zone.
Central Time is FAKE TIME!
February 22nd, 2017 at 11:52 AM ^
I'm in.
February 22nd, 2017 at 12:27 PM ^
that prefers the Europa Leage to the Champions League. I know it's not a perfect comparison, but its like #MACtion compared to the B1G. It's just so freaking fun and the fact that I don't know much about half the teams in the round of 32 adds to the excitement.
February 22nd, 2017 at 1:15 PM ^
I can't even PRONOUNCE half the team names in the round of 32.
February 22nd, 2017 at 12:36 PM ^
I have heard the voice of the people, the voice of you eastern time-zone yuppies. Starting tomorrow, gamethread will be in EST. You're welcome. You're welcome.
