movie ever.
That kid is annoying A.F. I want to punch him in the face every time I see him - despite knowing he is now middle aged like me.
I await your downvotes.

Same here. I had a roommate once who would do the Christmas Story marathon. He would watch it nonstop leading up to Christmas Eve. Drove me nuts. I tried to like it but nope.

I hate this movie.

I didn't see this movie until I was 24, and I was really underwhelmed. People talk about this movie like it's some masterpiece, and I saw a movie with like 5-6 funny scenes. Good? Sure. But not worth playing every hour of the day a month out of the year.

Those of us who are older and remember the simpler times of the 50s, 60s and 70s probably appreciate this movie more than the younger generation. As a movie its ok but as a vehicle for reminiscience its on the mark.
Christmas Vacation is the funniest and will stand the test of time. It already has.
But my two favorite Christmas movies ever are The Crossing with Jeff Daniels about Washingtons crossing of the Delaware on Christmas night 1776 and A Christmas Carol starring Patrick Stewart.

Can I refill your eggnog for you? Get you something to eat? Drive you out to the middle of nowhere and leave you for dead?

Nothing says Christmas like Die Hard.

It's not Christmas without rampant, knock down, fist fights and gun battles.
Oh, and if you want something fun to wear for your next Christmas Party:

We watch Elf and Christmas Story through out December, but sit down as a family and watch Tha Nativity Story on Christmas Eve.
Interesting side bar - the same guy that plays Joseph is also Poe Dameron in "The Force Awakens". Talk about a long life span... (ba da bum pa!)

Great show, mate. Been meaning to binge it yet again with the wife. It's finally on Netflix. Hopefully most or all of the original music is still in the show. I know that was the main issue behind releasing the show on disc (and that happens with many TV shows...stupid music rights).

Is Die Hard 2, which is also pretty damn sweet, set at Christmastime as well? Or is it Thanksgiving? I can never remember...
