That's the new "In The Neighborhood Rule".
November 27th, 2016 at 3:37 PM ^
I thought Harbaugh was saying there was no camera down the line though, and there should be one... So wouldn't this be an image from a different angle? I only say this because the lines on the photo look slanted, so it looks like a cropped image that was positioned to look like it was down the line.
November 27th, 2016 at 4:25 PM ^
guess that Jim wasn't talking about every camera and every shot in the stadium. He's eagle-eyed, but one just might have slipped past him.
November 27th, 2016 at 4:42 PM ^
I think he was talking about video cameras. This appears to be from a photographer.
November 27th, 2016 at 4:21 PM ^
He was being mugged and still had the gumption and fortitude to give it to Barrett. Three cheers for Chris Wormley!
November 27th, 2016 at 9:20 PM ^
Wormley's hand is the key to matching this up with the video. You can tell in the video when this is by where his hand is on Barrett. I don't have the time to break it down right now, but from quick glance it it seems to show he was short. I'd love if someone would match them up timing wise via this, someone smarter than me.

Save your breath, Buckeye's don't understand angles let alone math and physics.
November 27th, 2016 at 6:40 PM ^
any discussion or argument with an idiot is exactly one thing, a waste of time.
November 27th, 2016 at 8:14 PM ^
I'm amazed it knows how to use the Internet.
November 27th, 2016 at 11:54 PM ^
Well then you can save your breathe talking about this because its over and you lost.
November 27th, 2016 at 5:23 PM ^
Funny you Buckeye fans only use this shitty angle as "proof" you made it.
The OP shot is right on the side, clear as day showing he didnt make it.
Michigan got screwed all day and Ohio State was lucky to even force OT.

Nice job upvoting your debunked picture.
Whatever, OSU won the game. But I'll take solace in the fact that OSU needed literally every bit of good fortune/stupidity to pull it off.

eat shit
November 27th, 2016 at 11:57 PM ^
This literally looks like a dream scene from inception with the way that it is tilted and almost appears that the field is moving on a vertical plane... Actually, come to think of it, maybe this was a dream from inception and the referees were not real people, but instead the collective subconscious of the OSU fans in attendence... Hmmm.... Would certainly explain their inability to grasp basic concepts such as holding, PI, sportsmanship, and the like.
November 27th, 2016 at 5:41 PM ^
people are using the pic from up top. which looks like he might have it. From the looks of it he looks like he is in the spot as the other pic people are floating around.
November 27th, 2016 at 7:16 PM ^
He could be short but that screenshot is clearly taken from after Barrett has already bounced back some after hitting the guy in front of hims ass so this screenshot doesn't actually prove anything.
November 27th, 2016 at 8:09 PM ^
but said ass is still behind the first down marker. and 88 never gets pushed backwards. watch the video.
November 27th, 2016 at 8:49 PM ^
Oh I'm not disputing he was short, but using a still without proof that it is from his farthest point forwards isn't any better than a cropped angled photo.
November 27th, 2016 at 9:29 PM ^
Your theory is thoroughly debunked lower down in the thread.
Long story short: The photo in the OP shows Barrett's forward most progress. He was short

Agree. I almost wish we find conclusive evidence that he DID make it

Surprised we didn't see that during the game.
Looks pretty indisputable to me.
God fucking damn it.

I think the assumption is that this is the furthest Barrett advanced, and the still taken at that moment. Or else this makes no sense as a still.
November 27th, 2016 at 3:36 PM ^
Based on what I have seen, I think this was taken by a photographer on the sideline. The video on the broadcast never showed this view from the sideline.
The views from the broadcast were terrible. We needed a sideline or a direct overhead view, and we got nothing remotely close to that. On a play that crucial to the game, I would have thought they would have been ready with better angles to capture it.

This. Photo could have easily been taken after he got knocked back.
Video shows he was close to the line. Could have gone either way.
November 27th, 2016 at 3:45 PM ^
Except that is clearly the same still photo from everything else. This is his furthest point.
