Rashan Gary recruiting the entire ESPN150 for 2017
A few quotes from the article.
"The whole nation, I'm trying to get everybody on Michigan," Gary said this week at Paramus Catholic High School in New Jersey. "I want (Michigan to be a place where people) talk about it as a school that can go to the national championship every year. That's what I want. So I'm recruiting the best of the best."
"To be honest, I'm contacting the whole ESPN150 for 2017," said Gary, the top-ranked recruit in 2016. "I will be in your DMs.
Someone will have to educate me on this. Isn't that a recruiting violation? Or is he only prohibited from recruiting once he starts school?
As soon as he joins the team it all changes.
hope this is accurate.
I don't think that's right. Every year we hear about guys on the team going after recruits. One quick example off the top of my head, Delano Hill & Jourdan Lewis seemed to be recruiting LaVert Hill pretty hard last year. And I swear that every year we hear about "<current Michigan player> is recruiting <former HS teammate 4* recruit>" and telling him how awesome it is up in Ann Arbor.
I'm sure it is different if the recruit is related to you, and maybe it is different for former teammates/friends, too, but I swear we read about stuff like that all the time, every year.
If someone knows better and I'm way off here, please correct me.
If the relationship does not exist you cannot have those conversations.
being recruits. That's why it was OK for Delano and Jourdan Lewis.
I dunno, let's ask Nick Saban what he thinks about this.
They R probably ok with it as long as none of the recruits R from New Jersey.

It's Friday afternoon, I'll fill in the rest later.
I think that's the case. But even if he's able to put in the effort for these next few weeks, it's bound to have an impact on at least a few of them.
No one doubted the guy was going to make the whole team better. But I had no idea that part of that improvement would come via disciplined, pre-campus, recruiting campaign.
Awesome.
I'd be afraid to say no to him.

Much of the D&D crowd I recall from growing up also spent a lot of time "soloing" when it came to sex.
They seemed to have fun at both.
he always plays a Paladin in D&D
say that to my level 12 Ranger's face. Then we'd see who's tough.
but fuck the ncaa in any case.

ive seen cases but they were wrist slaps, typically situations where programs self-reported minor violations. thats about it. players / recruits often interact via social media but ive never seen much of consequence arise.
itd likely take a coordinated conspiracy of players recruiting on behalf of coaches / programs on a massive scale to draw any meaningful response and ive certainly never seen that
"He knows he has pull moving forward and he says he'll do as much as he can to help sway other top stars to Michigan moving forward. Signed players, of course, cannot publicly recruit prospective student-athletes.
But they can always chat in private."
Looks like he can't recruit them publicly, but is allowed to chat with anyone he wants privately, so like he also says in the article, look for me in your DM's.
I cannot for the life of me understand why a current player cannot recruit.
...with these witty quips and comments. This got me laughin

I never post on mGoBlog, but read almost every comment on the website. This had me laughing out loud.

Especially now that their spring breaks have been taken away from them.
would give them to do. It's better for the players that they can't.
Wait a minute...
Not with that attitude, we don't.
We can if we medical redshirt about 120 of them.
