PSU commit DT Michael Dwumfour to visit this weekend
PSU commit and HS teammate of Kareem Walker DT Michael Dwumfour to take an official visit to Michigan this weekend. This is big news because PSU's recruiting class is imploding.
Dwumfour and Rashan Gary are good friends and workout partners as well. That may be kind of important too.

for this claas He would have been gone in 2017 anyway. I think it makes it more likely Godin returns. I doubt they're feeling the need to plug one more freshman into a deep DL rotation.

right? Makes total sense now

I think its mystery solved.

I thought the Little rumors formulated because the secret visitor was supposedly someone at the UA game? I'm probably wrong, but for some reason I thought that was part of the description. Oh well, Dwumfour looks to be quick and strong and his relationship with Gary doesn't hurt either. We'll have a lot of exits on the DL next year, so getting depth now would be beneficial.

If PSU does not stop the bleeding of recruits, they could be Dwunfour...

Hate to burst your bubble, but I believe it's a Ghanaian name pronounced "Dwoom". Like "doom"

So does MICH have dwumfour him in this class then?
January 14th, 2016 at 4:01 PM ^
Very, very well done. Indeed, +5
January 14th, 2016 at 4:09 PM ^
the marching band can play a long Dwumroll before starting "Victors."
January 14th, 2016 at 4:43 PM ^
If we can get him to commit, opposing offensive lineman will be Dwumfour.

I don't think they could get Herman, but Rhule looks like a very solid choice. That's what they need, somone who knows how to coach, knows the area, and will stay because it's the job he really wants. The flash of Franklin has been a bad fit. The next guy will have it easier since the effect of sanctions will be minimal.

He is not exactly "under the radar". Stewart is visiting Stanford this weekend and will probably decide between Michigan and them.
January 14th, 2016 at 4:13 PM ^
Dwumfour isn't totally under the radar either. He has offers from schools like BC, Iowa, and West Virginia that I can't imagine offered him to get to Gary.
Do we know whether Dwumfour has a Michigan offer?
January 14th, 2016 at 5:07 PM ^
According to Rivals and 247 he does not have an offer from Michigan.

i dont understand the continued pursuit of stewart (with some hinting hes likely to soon commit) unless its a situation where the coaches clearly state he can join the class if another WR exits.
im a huge proponent of adding versatile athletes capable of potentially impacting multiple positions so i love the staff adding multiple WRs with versatility and ability to compete at DB, RB, etc - but i dont see stewart as that type player. hes strictly an outside WR, similar to types hoke brought in. and they already have several WR commits projected to the outside (not to mention those guys offer more positional versatilty in addition to likely being more talented outside receivers).
the staff obviously has a plan and they no doubt know what theyre doing, its just an odd recruitment. id be surprised if they added stewart without losing someone from that group of projected WR types

It's a good strategy, regardless of Gary. If you take a high-priority recruit from someone else in your division of your conference, it's +1 to us and -1 to them. Differential 2.
January 14th, 2016 at 3:52 PM ^
Just had the mental image of these PSU coaches out on the road, showing up for in-homes, and finding out that their commits are all visiting other schools. halol.

at 6-2, 282 he certainly could play DT.

looks like a 3Tech... has some Mo Hurst in his game... want!
January 14th, 2016 at 3:55 PM ^
Penn State could be losing Miles Sanders, Dwumfour, Nordin and Will Fries.
January 14th, 2016 at 4:04 PM ^
Will (Have) Fries (With That?) just seems like a guy destined to get a MSU degree.....

The odds are stacked against us based on track record with glorious names. But Harbaugh.
January 14th, 2016 at 3:57 PM ^
If you can imagine Bradi yelling his name while you rake leaves, it's a great name.
"DWUM-four with a BIG third-down tackle! And Michigan's defense generates yet ANOTHER three-and-out."
January 14th, 2016 at 3:58 PM ^
Maybe it's just me, but I can't for the life of me figure out the allure of Penn State. Obviously it's a big school and their facilities are probably great, but I wouldnt choose PSU over similar comparables - MSU, etc.
I dont know, they just dont excite me - the town is kind of weak, in the middle of nowhere, and the whole Sandusky thing is creepy.

Your point is taken that they used to be the only game in town, however, I grew up in NY, watched CFB growing up, but never watched PSU. Miami, ND and UM were on TV as much if not more than PSU.
