Spike Albrecht back on the court shooting jumpers
Didn't see this posted yesterday but Spike was in the gym shooting jumpers for the first time since his surgeries. I'm sure he has a long way to go, but nice to see him jumping some and this makes me more optimistic he can be on the court for the start of the season.

This is so awesome, would love to have him back to his NC game form. Imagine what the team would be like!

I've always blamed the refs for putting Mitch on the bench with BS and the Burke block but now I know the truth of who cost us the NC. You are hereby cursed!

great news for a great Michigan Man. Hope he's fully recovered in time to participate. He will be a very important cog in the machine this year.

Awesome. This is a lot faster than I'd have guessed. Now, can he get back into game shape by the season?

There's a short piece on MLive here - LINK
I don't know that we ever really got information on what was repaired, but I certainly didn't know the extent until I saw this:
Albrecht's first procedure came on April 8. Performed at U-M Hospital, two-hour surgery included three incisions, shaving down a portion of the ball-and-socket hip joint and repairing a torn labrum. For good measure, a fracture in the hip was also discovered. After the surgery, Albrecht said the fracture was the result of "basically me trying to self-repair -- just from all the pounding, it basically broke itself."
Hopefully, we get to see him before long - I assume there is a bit of a road ahead to get him back to court-ready though.

did they edit out all of Spike's misses.
Great to see you back on the floor, Spike. Go out and have a great senior year.

He's got that solid, white boy 3 inch vertical going there.
/Joking of course, love Spike, and hoping he's ready for game 1

I still think he is Ollie from Hoosiers. Anyways, good that Spike is on the way back and I look for good things from him this year.
