Can we pump the brakes on this “Cam Marino” story?

Submitted by LostPatrol14 on January 23rd, 2024 at 6:15 AM

I’m not saying Coach Harbaugh isn’t leaving Michigan for the Chargers, but this “writer” is the only one that is really reporting on this strong 2nd interview where “things could be finalized”. This Cam fellow has been in the Atlanta Falcons space quite a bit and has made up quite a bit of information . So much so that even Matt Ryan’s wife had to set this guy straight.   https://www.reddit.com/r/falcons/s/qr3fuFOiVO

He’s a Michigan State grad and his brother goes to Ohio State University. Much of his “breaking stories” are just throwing shit to the wall and seeing what sticks. If it doesn’t come to light, he’ll just shrug it off and move on to the next story.

Again, not saying Coach Harbaugh is staying or going, but this guy isn’t enough for me to believe that this is guaranteed to happen. I’ll just wait until somebody more knowledgeable and reliable to report it.

So Sarah is on the plane. Why must that mean anything? The weather is terrible here right now--perhaps she wants to go to where it's sunny and warmer. Does she still have family out there? Maybe she would like to visit. Give me a few minutes, and I'll come up with a dozen more possibilities.

Harbaugh may be signing a contract today for all I know, but can we please just stop with inferences based on "His wife is going--that's a problem"?

We will just agree to disagree. I tend to think that is at least substantive and meaningful. How much more meaningful is it vs him going out there by himself? No clue, and that answer probably varies greatly based on family dynamics so we are all making assumptions. Mine is that it means something more than nothing that she is joining him for round 2.

"Bringing at least his wife and possibly other family members"... this is what really concerns me.

Who has been to a Disney resort with children and grandparents?   If you've been - you know what a memorable experience it is - AND - the happines (in particular) that grandparents feel when they stroll around the park and have fun with the "little ones".

I've had the privilege of doing this - and, though it was years ago - my wife's parents still talk about the trip.

So - perhaps it's Jim, Sarah, their younger children - and Jack & Jackie.  Last I checked - the wind chills and temperature in Michigan were "rather cold".   And, a day at Disneyland - with children and grandparents - will not only provide a respite from the cold - but also, a day of cherished memories for both children and parents.

We should take it with a grain of salt, you are right. But other UM pay boards are also reporting Harbaugh is brining "at least his wife and possibly other family members"

While I'm not a super experienced cook, given that Sarah is a fairly statuesque woman, you would need more than a grain of salt to successfully brine her; probably more like several cups.

If people haven't learned that there is a bunch of clickbait bullshit on the internet,  just let them take thier medicine dude. You can't spend your life protecting gullible people. You'll be way too busy.

we don't need to tap any brakes, we need to just ignore it entirely.

nobody knows anything and none of the "rumors" are anything more than crap made up by liars desperate for clicks.

there's no reason to amplify any of it.  so don't.

Maybe take the foot off the break and have SM apply his foot the gas pedal because multiple sources are not reporting "deal is in striking distance".

It's going to need to be full speed ahead baby. Sounds like no other 2nd interviews have even been booked...yet...
