There’s six minutes left in the first quarter and Tampa’s already built a 10-0 lead.
Are you watching? What do you think?

Not watching. Thinking “Wood 'drastically underestimates the impact of social distinctions predicated upon wealth, especially inherited wealth.”
January 15th, 2024 at 8:48 PM ^
You got that from Work in Essex County, Page 421, right?
January 15th, 2024 at 8:48 PM ^
Do you like apples?
January 15th, 2024 at 8:47 PM ^
What happened to the Eagles the past month? They look horrible
January 15th, 2024 at 8:55 PM ^
Made Matt Patricia their DC.
January 15th, 2024 at 10:30 PM ^
That and a bunch of injuries. But it’s safe to say, a non-zero proportion of those injuries came about directly or indirectly because of Patricia, likely the players being burdened with an intense shame and distaste for being on the team anymore.
January 16th, 2024 at 11:11 AM ^
They forgot how to tackle.
January 15th, 2024 at 8:47 PM ^
Um, not Philly so far.
Dropped passes you don't even see in high school.
And Big 12-level defense.
January 15th, 2024 at 8:47 PM ^
I think Lincoln Riley is there and he approves of Philly's defensive effort so far.
January 15th, 2024 at 8:52 PM ^
It is still bizarre to process that Lincoln Riley is now a Big Ten coach.
If he got into an elevator with Kirk Ferentz it would an extinction-level event.
January 15th, 2024 at 8:58 PM ^
I could only hope Farentz would remind him that he won more games this year with Daecon Hill than Riley did with Caleb Williams.
January 15th, 2024 at 10:13 PM ^
It sounds like more like a bad buddy movie. "Two football coaches, one a defensive mastermind and the other an offensive genius, go on the run from fans and boosters after disastrous losses to conference rivals. Hilarity and hijinks ensue."
January 15th, 2024 at 10:25 PM ^
"And absolute fools when it comes to hiring coordinators."
January 15th, 2024 at 8:48 PM ^
Lions should be a 5-7 pt favorite over the Bucs.
Eagles are going to have make massive changes in offseason. Absolute collapse.
January 15th, 2024 at 9:01 PM ^
I forgot where I read it, but I'm pretty sure I saw that their coach is on the hot seat. He shit-canned his first year DC pretty quickly and Patricia hasn't looked like he helped (shocker).
January 15th, 2024 at 8:53 PM ^
I guess importing the Georgia defense straight to the pros doesn’t quite transfer with the same results
January 16th, 2024 at 12:34 AM ^
It always worked on Madden in the good old days.
January 15th, 2024 at 8:53 PM ^
Well, assuming this goes the way it's going, not sure if there's much to take away from Tampa beating Philly. They've seemed like an up-and-down team and their run in to the playoffs shows that - struggles with New Orleans and Carolina and a win against Green Bay.
I suppose you can't ask for more than drawing a 9-8 regular season team in the Divisional Round, especially one you already handled on the road.
January 15th, 2024 at 9:03 PM ^
I suspect if Tampa ends up beating Philly tonight, Detroit is probably close to a TD favorite. I’d certainly be favoring them in that game, but I’m curious how much Tampa has evolved since they played Detroit. 9-8 is still 9-8, but Baker has played some good, occasionally great football down the stretch. He was near flawless on the road at Green Bay, and that’s not nothing.
I’d still take Detroit, but I think Tampa could make it really interesting, depending on which version of them shows up.

Looking back at the box score from that game I was kind of shocked to see our running output. Trying to remember all of the injuries at that time - Gibbs was out and Montgomery was really banged up if I remember correctly - but that was our worst rushing output of the year on a YPC basis. Big day for Goff with 44 attempts.
Definitely feel more warm and fuzzy when I see Detroit pushing a defense around on the ground.
January 15th, 2024 at 8:56 PM ^
Does Philadelphia actually enjoy playing football for money?
January 15th, 2024 at 8:58 PM ^
tampa winning, likely to stay that way.
take-aways so far: tampa can't run the ball. defense is okay. not lighting anything on fire. i'd say its a great draw for the lions.
interestingly, with G-bay seemingly so hot, they have to go to SF to play the niners. could be we actually have the easier draw after all, even as the 3 seed.
January 15th, 2024 at 9:11 PM ^
I'd much rather TB than GB. I mean, it's not close. GB is red hot right now.
January 15th, 2024 at 9:28 PM ^
It’s either TB or Philly next week for Detroit. Green Bay is locked into playing the 49ers no matter what.
January 15th, 2024 at 8:58 PM ^
Ric Flair is in attendance.
January 15th, 2024 at 8:59 PM ^
Give me the Eagles in a close one so we can face fat ass Pencil Patricia in Ford Field
January 15th, 2024 at 9:05 PM ^
Hes not as fat anymore! Hes down a ton of weight, still bird brained though
January 15th, 2024 at 9:17 PM ^
He still looks like he just woke up from taking a nap in his laundry hamper
January 15th, 2024 at 9:22 PM ^
Of course, hes still a known idiot and a slob
January 15th, 2024 at 8:59 PM ^
Discussion?
Maybe the discussion should be about the final margin of victory tonight for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Philly's 2023 season goose appears to have been cooked weeks ago.
January 15th, 2024 at 9:01 PM ^
Can’t say I’ve watched many Eagles games this year (outside of the two against the Giants) but hot damn that defense is straight garbage.
January 15th, 2024 at 9:07 PM ^
eagles' back 7 is allergic to tackling.
January 15th, 2024 at 9:09 PM ^
Neither of these teams look as good as the Rams but our pass defense better work on some things this week. I assume the extra day off will help us.
Is Connor Stalions at the game?
January 15th, 2024 at 9:10 PM ^
End of career Brady equals prime Baker Mayfield. Sounds about right.
January 15th, 2024 at 9:12 PM ^
After GB knocks of the niners, guess who's hosting the NFC championship game??!! GO LIONS!! Wings on a little roll as well.
January 15th, 2024 at 9:12 PM ^
Side by side comparison shows that a 28 yr old Baker Mayfield's season numbers are comparable to 78 year old Tom Brady's last season numbers.
January 15th, 2024 at 9:13 PM ^
Gotta love that vintage Matt Patricia tackling
January 15th, 2024 at 9:14 PM ^
The Eagles collapse is shocking. Apparently there has already been behind-the-scenes positioning to cast blame before the game has even been played. I haven't actually seen much of them since things went south, but the noise around the franchise is pretty remarkable for a team that looked ready to win Super Bowls and looked really good even at points this season.
January 15th, 2024 at 9:16 PM ^
started off 10-1 this season. talk about whiplash.
January 15th, 2024 at 9:21 PM ^
The Fat Patricia effect
January 15th, 2024 at 9:49 PM ^
Guy was seriously the worst. Morningweg, Mariucci, and Marinelli didnt have the talent that Patricia inherited and he either wasted it all or traded it away. His first game when the Jets blew them out on Monday Night Football will probably always be one of the worst prepared teams I've ever seen in my life.
Between that, the ELEVEN 4th quarter blown leads in his tenure, and telling a reporter that he didnt like his posture, he can fuck himself. Asshole
January 15th, 2024 at 9:17 PM ^
FWIW every time I see a bad defense in the NFL, and I remember that Mike Macdonald has the NFL's best defense and Jesse Minter has college football's best defense, I am delighted at what we had this year and a bit uncomfortable because it's hard not to think that Minter is going to be in demand for a pro job if he wants it.
January 15th, 2024 at 9:25 PM ^
Didnt he already have a pro defense with us? Most, if not all, of the D this year is going to play in the league. But yes hes absolutely going to be in demand
January 15th, 2024 at 9:20 PM ^
both teams' receivers are also allergic to catching well-thrown passes. dropsies.
January 15th, 2024 at 9:20 PM ^
TB just tried to do the Mr. Brightside thing. It was weak at best.
January 15th, 2024 at 9:22 PM ^
They played it at Ford Field last night, too. Michigan made it cool. Now Everybody’s on it.
January 15th, 2024 at 9:21 PM ^
Eagle vs Tampa Bay playing our Mr Brightside in stadium.
That’s ours man.
January 15th, 2024 at 9:23 PM ^
Just heard Mr. Brightside being played in the stadium in the background of the broadcast. In the immortal words of Spoonie G: they bitin' my shit, man.
January 15th, 2024 at 9:24 PM ^
"Mr Brightside" playing in Tampa just now, and the fans were singing along. No one tell Sparty!
It's a fun song to sing along to, everyone else thinks so, you just hate it because Michigan fans have had the most fun doing it, and made it a thing. Such sad, pathetic people.
