Possible Returning Contributors- Rod Moore, Makari Paige, Josiah Stewart, Quinten Johnson(6th year?)
Could still change their mind: Braiden Mcgregor, Karsen Barnhart, Roman Wilson, Aj Barner

Good luck to him, I’ll always remember him making his debut alongside Rod Moore against OSU in 2021. He’s a dude.

This had me thinking: how many players were contributors in all 3 seasons of this run. I came up with:
JJ, Corum, Edwards, Wilson, CJ, Zinter, Keegan, Jenkins, Harrell, Sainristil, Colson, R. Moore.

I'm pretty sure I heard Brian say on the podcast that Johnson is gone.
January 12th, 2024 at 5:53 PM ^
Dude I think/hope you mean Quinten. Gotta clarify that. When I first read it I was thinking Will and almost threw my arms up in anger.
January 12th, 2024 at 5:47 PM ^
Dude made himself an NFL player.
January 12th, 2024 at 5:47 PM ^
Forgot to add Josh Priebe from Northwestern(OL) and Ernest Hausmann
The defense will be elite again next year. 9-3 is the floor depending on what JJ and Donovan decide. We need wide receivers badly.
January 12th, 2024 at 5:51 PM ^
Out of the box question: Would Cabana move to WR? He’s more like a slot guy than a RB build wise.
January 12th, 2024 at 5:57 PM ^
Possibly but I doubt it. Hopefully we land a portal WR.
January 12th, 2024 at 11:19 PM ^
I think Edwards should move to receiver. He has a better future in the NFL as a slot than RB imo
January 12th, 2024 at 6:04 PM ^
More optimistic than me. I would say 7-5 is the absolute floor without JJ and Edwards. Oregon, Texas, USC, and OSU will all be more talented than us and Washington will be a tough road game even if they are starting over as a program. I don't think we'll actually lose all of them, but it wouldn't be shocking given the amount of turnover we're facing
January 12th, 2024 at 6:07 PM ^
USC is going to suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck.
And we're going to control the line of scrimmage on defense against everyone we play. Dominant DLs are how you win.
January 12th, 2024 at 6:11 PM ^
Oregon, USC and Washington all lose quarterbacks just as good or better than JJ along with many other contributors. I definitely would not say they will be more talented.
January 12th, 2024 at 7:20 PM ^
However, Oregon replaces theirs and Washington won't get Penix level next year but they will get very good QB play with the MSU QB coming in. (Mississippi State).
January 13th, 2024 at 4:57 PM ^
Best of luck Mr. Harrel. Thanks for the memories!!!!!!!!!!!!!
January 12th, 2024 at 7:15 PM ^
There's that more talented word again. When will people stop looking at 247 for all their preseason projections.
You're delusional if you think Michigan is going 7-5 with our run game & defense.
January 13th, 2024 at 12:14 PM ^
USC couldn't win with Caleb Williams. Their defense makes Washington's look like peak 85 Bears or Ravens. Talk about a soft program. UCLA stuffed them in a locker this year.
Washington loses its entire offense and now coach. Yes it's a road game but I'd rather that be the road game than Oregon.
OSU is going to be loaded - ironically QB may be their weakest position but their defense is effin loaded with all those players coming back and played great last year finally. Oregon has two QBs to pick from and is going to be very tough. Texas will be top 5 to start the nation despite their losses.
Current form of Michigan unlike pre Harbaugh beats who they are supposed to beat vs the random loss to an Illinois here or Northwestern there.
We will have a really good defense and our DL will continue to maul these soft programs. The questions for me are all on offense. A lot of questions in QB room, WR room.
Oregon, OSU, Texas will be the season.
January 13th, 2024 at 12:10 PM ^
And a passing QB is needed.
January 12th, 2024 at 5:51 PM ^
Just to update - Trente said he was heavily leaning toward leaving and Nugent has declared his intent.
January 12th, 2024 at 5:52 PM ^
Thanks!
January 12th, 2024 at 5:58 PM ^
Did that change with Jones? I thought he was almost certainly staying.
January 12th, 2024 at 7:12 PM ^
Yeah last I'd heard he said he'd be back if we wanted him back.
January 12th, 2024 at 5:51 PM ^
As expected. Congrats Jaylen!!
January 12th, 2024 at 5:51 PM ^
Will always be one of my favorites. Really representative of the way this group of guys lifted the program.
January 12th, 2024 at 5:53 PM ^
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: anyone on this team who wants to head off to the NFL after this season has every god-given right to do so.
These guys climbed the mountaintop. They went undefeated, won a title, and in a lot of cases, have never lost to OSU. They have absolutely nothing left to prove.
As one Tampa native to another, best of luck, Jaylen!! You getting to McCord on that final drive may very well have saved Michigan’s season!
January 12th, 2024 at 5:58 PM ^
Prayers for your success!!! Thank you for everything, Mr. Harrell!
January 12th, 2024 at 6:00 PM ^
saw a bit on youtube that one of the defensive standouts found Penix in the tunnel to check on him and offer his best. I believe it was Harrell. These D players were so MF good together. Congrats to all of them and all the best to Jaylen.
January 12th, 2024 at 6:24 PM ^
You are correct spacecowboy. It was Jaylen who checked on Penix. Total class move.👍
January 12th, 2024 at 10:16 PM ^
Here’s the clip of Harrell running to catch up with Penix- just awesome character from these young men all around:
January 13th, 2024 at 12:16 PM ^
A Michigan thru and thru. Just won a NC and goes to check on opposing QB.
January 12th, 2024 at 6:01 PM ^
Thank you Jaylen you were outstanding … enjoy your ring and good luck in the future!!!
January 12th, 2024 at 6:01 PM ^
Such is college sports.. They never stay forever but in our hearts.
January 12th, 2024 at 6:12 PM ^
He made an amazing play setting the edge vs OSU and actually the following week saw more snaps than Ojabo because of this edge setting ability.
2022 he was again a good edge setter but not much of a pass rusher.
2023 he was a bonafide stud who became a good pass rusher as well and had the pressure that led to Rod Moore’s sealing interception.
Probably the most underrated player of this 3 year run.
January 12th, 2024 at 6:18 PM ^
Good luck Jaylen, thank you the Natty, 3 B1G championships and destroying 🅾️su 3 years in a row.
January 12th, 2024 at 6:38 PM ^
Didn't Trente give an interview in which he said he was planning to go to the draft?
January 12th, 2024 at 6:52 PM ^
I think Nugent is gone too.
January 12th, 2024 at 7:09 PM ^
He finally earned Seth’s full admiration!
Jaylen was a smart and instinctive player. Rarely out is assignment or getting beat.
I will always remember his critical 4th down coverage of Stover in CBus last year.
January 12th, 2024 at 7:12 PM ^
Who was a starter or significant contributor that can't leave yet?
What does our "floor" look like?
January 12th, 2024 at 7:59 PM ^
Good luck JH!!!!!
January 14th, 2024 at 2:08 PM ^
Good luck on your MGoFutures. Thanks for the many great moments and memories. Eternally grateful. Go Blue!
