What's your confidence level for the CHAMPIONSHIP GAME

Ok everyone how are you feeling confidence wise about Monday's game? I'll be honest I was pretty unsure about the Rose Bowl, but I'm trying to talk myself out of being so confident about this game.

7/10. We can definitely lose this but there are enough advantages for Michigan that I feel fairly confident. Will be nervous as hell on Monday night though.

I am confident

Michigan runs the ball.  Controls the clock.  Gets a couple score lead with some stops and is able to control the pace of the game on both sides.  Washington's offense is awesome but is also known to stall.  Michigan has the best defense they'll face yet.

If michigan stays focused they get the win and the glory.

My confidence level is 3 Pac12 defenses held them to 15,22, and 24 points. That is 1/3rd of the conference season.

Watching CJ Stroud tear it up in the NFL but couldnt beat this defense? Crazy talk. My mind keeps seeing the same result but im going to shut my mouth and just let it play out.

Seeing how loose the players are has made me a lot more confident.  I think Alex Orji crashed Will Johnson's media availability today.  Some teammates crashed Roman Wilson's as well.  Fun was had.  This Michigan squad is a team of destiny and they are going to lay waste to a very good Husky team on Monday.  I refuse to be affected by the "TCU all over again" nervous nellies here on the MGoBoard.

Are we tempting fate here?  I predict pain.  I am confident that we can be proud of our young people, in the classroom, in the community, and most-especially tomorrow, in Houston, TX, on the football field,

Every logical metric says Michigan should win, and possibly fairly comfortably. However, the "team of destiny" irrational football gods stuff worries me. Washington has gotten themselves out of a lot of scrapes this year (many of which they also got themselves into), and they could do it one more time.

Excited to be at this game.  Wouldn't be traveling thousands of miles if I wasn't reasonably confident Michigan could and would win.  Intellectually, all of the fancy stats say Michigan has a 74-75% chance of winning.  That's pretty good.  Additionally, think about the pressure on Penix, who knows he's gotta play a perfect game for UW to have a chance.  That's the only way.  First two drives on each side will be key.  I predict at least one of those drives for Michigan ends with Blake in the end zone after a ground and pound drive, while UW suffers 1-2 sacks and has to settle for a single field goal on its first two drives.  Tone will be set, and the pressure will ratchet up on Penix.  We're gonna win this one, and I can't wait to see Jimmy and the boys celebrate this one on the field tomorrow.  They've earned it.

I think this game is going to look like both 2021 and 2022 OSU. A talented, dangerous passing attack with some holes elsewhere that Michigan can exploit. They're going to score, but so is Michigan. I will caution that in those two games combined, Michigan had one turnover and 7/50 penalties. Have to do no worse than that.

Confidence is high.

Relatively confident.

Jim Harbaugh built this team for the explicit purpose of beating Ohio State. Washington has a better pass attack than Ohio State and a better offensive line, but Ohio State is better at every other unit, especially defense. And Washington had a bunch of nail biters against mid teams, and has put up absurd passing numbers against mid defenses. So all that tells me to be confident.

The reason for concern is that if Penix gets hot, Washington's offense is unstoppable. I don't want to get into a shootout.

Despite some nagging fear in the back of my mind, I’m feeling pretty confident about this matchup. This M team was built to beat teams like this. And they’re damn good, too.

As for the score, I'm thinking something along the lines of 42-27 or 45-23

Maybe 30-24. Maybe.

Hold em to under 30 and we win. Mark it, Dude.

We're the better team. Washington has been hovering on the edge of doom, game after game, for weeks. I think we may push them over.

There's a scenario where Michigan wins this in a walk.

But lots can go wrong in a game. The best team doesn't always win. Michigan had to assert itself several times, emotionally, against Alabama--when JJ threw an interception on Michigan's first play from scrimmage, after a fumble and after a botched punt; in overtime. They did it not with some wild outbursts of emotion or adrenaline, but quite methodically. I think we can do that again.

This time they'll act live they've been here. That should give us an edge.

I’m pretty confident probably an 8/10. I think Washington hasn’t faced a defense anywhere near Michigan’s and eventually Penix is going to start pressing. I know he’s fantastic even when pressured, but I think he’ll try to use his feet more and end up hurt. I don’t want to see him hurt, but he’s extremely injury prone. He’s been protected all year by his solid line, but I think he’s going to try and do too much and end up hurt. I also think their starting running back will only be at 70% at best.

This game lines up very well for Michigan. The coaches don't need to come up with a radically different game plan for Washington, the team merely needs to play the way they've prepared all season. This is very much like last year's Ohio State game. Texas should've beaten Washington, they really gave the game away, and we're better than Texas across the board. We'll likely dominate TOP and be able to punch the ball in once we get to the red zone, Washington will likely struggle to do so. My Guess? 35-23.

I am at 60-40.

I am 60% confident that we'll win.

I am 40% concerned that we'll send them dragging their sad Husky tails between their hind legs back to Seattle in embarrassment after a thorough @$$ kicking.

Feel like we've got around a 70% chance. I think we're better in all but one phase of the game, and we can slow them down even there a bit. So I think we'll win, but wouldn't be shocked if we didn't. We just need to play our game and avoid mistakes. Calling it 34-27 good guys
