Meta: Site to be sold to pet boarding provider
Kind of disappointing but looking forward to discounts on pet boarding.

They didn't watch the Heisman House Mascot Commercial, did they?

I regret that I have but one upvote to give for this comment.

Those bastards at Broad Sky are ruining America by putting every mom and pop pet boarding shop like MGoBlog out of business. I heard they were owned by the CCP.

On the "pet boarding" - I was wondering if (after bowl season) - we could work with the Department of the Interior and just "drop off" a Wolverine in the Buckeyes locker room at the Hayes Center in Columbus.
Eddie George might be able to offer a few words on "taming" that little beast. And, of course - there's "Bucky" the nut - who might try to slow the Wolverine down.
I'll bet on the Wolverine, seven days a week.

How about a cage match with Ryan Day. We know how tough he is.
December 8th, 2023 at 2:32 PM ^
If you aren't being targeted by scams, are you even online?
December 8th, 2023 at 3:10 PM ^
Ryan Day is taking this too far
December 8th, 2023 at 5:50 PM ^
How would he know?

Selling MGoBlog chew toys and boarding services is a good start. I think we've turned the tide on this rivalry.
December 8th, 2023 at 2:46 PM ^
Selling like hot cakes.
December 8th, 2023 at 4:59 PM ^
Never in a million years would I have believed it.
December 8th, 2023 at 3:14 PM ^
This place has been going to the dogs for a few years. Might as well take the imaginary $$$ and go all the way.
December 8th, 2023 at 8:33 PM ^
....don't you mean ass, like overtaking ass, for years.
December 8th, 2023 at 6:32 PM ^
Maybe they could try selling T-shirts next?
December 8th, 2023 at 2:33 PM ^
Niche college football bloggers have a short shelf-life. Gotta take your money while you can get it. Go get paid, Brian and Seth!
December 8th, 2023 at 4:57 PM ^
True. College Football Blogger years are like 7 regular human years.

Timing: A great valuation due to what would be the equivalent of “triple witching” traffic: Harbaugh contract/NFL rumors, sign gate, and the playoffs.
Except: When buying a small business you have to assume you lose 20% of top line revenue from owner side deals. But what happens when 100% of traffic is due to the owners?

Brian is working on our payout based on user points. Think of all the value this board has created.

Let’s see if Maizen and WD come back
December 8th, 2023 at 3:52 PM ^
As a fellow 2008er, I am certain our mgopoints accrued in the late aughts are essentially Class A mgoshares. Can't wait for my check to come in the mail
December 8th, 2023 at 4:06 PM ^
You have my attention.
December 8th, 2023 at 7:07 PM ^
oh man, we know who the lottery winner would be in this group.
December 8th, 2023 at 4:10 PM ^
Points are WAY overrated. The payout should be based upon years of faithful service to the company.
Random exercise for the reader:
Prove: 15 years on MGoBlog > 20kk MGoPoints
Show your work and properly name each axiom used in your proof
December 8th, 2023 at 4:25 PM ^
I have to agree with your post. Without people who have been around forever, who would appreciate the humor and intelligence of those with 20k MGoPoints?
December 8th, 2023 at 6:59 PM ^
I can support this.
December 8th, 2023 at 5:51 PM ^
I thought it was a picture of him in shorts?
December 8th, 2023 at 2:37 PM ^
I would take the cash.
December 8th, 2023 at 2:44 PM ^
It was all the "intangible" cat pictures that put it over the top!
December 8th, 2023 at 3:44 PM ^
I'm sure Henri, the Otter of Ennui, contributed.
December 8th, 2023 at 2:53 PM ^
the two businesses should join forces
Scruffy: 5* GSD, 3.1 40-yard dash, projects to couch later today
Princess: 3* ACD with impressive frisbee skills, held back by lack of length
Max: walk-on Italian Greyhound, speed for days, impossible to overthrow. Does not project to the depth chart due to naps which can sometimes stretch for days
Flubber: 4* English Bulldog an absolute lock for starting OL someday. 40-yard dash incomplete due to lack of adequate treats at measurement time

December 8th, 2023 at 3:01 PM ^
Wait. Theres a camping trip?
December 8th, 2023 at 3:12 PM ^
That still is one of the funniest things ever. I remember reading throught that and laughing so hard that my abs hurt so bad and I had to explain to my kids of why I was crying. It wasnt because Dad was hurt or sad but he was genuinely crying tears of laughter.

Link? That must have happened while I was in prison.

It's among my all-time top 5 threads, I also laughed myself to tears (and still do) while reading it. Possibly the only thing better were the CRex Chronicles, detailing his adventures with his Korean wife and in-laws.
My pleasure to post the MGoCamping link:

Definitely Crex. That brought tears.

I missed that. Hilarious.
A t-shirt with your avatar. SMH. Haha!
What if you are your avatar?

I'm soooooo sad to have missed the MGoBlog UP camping trip. But I'm sure it was great.
When is 2.0?
December 9th, 2023 at 3:39 AM ^
I believe 1.0 went the way of the Fyre festival. Except there were no lost deposits on T-shirts.
