Mutilated Longhorn left in front of Oklahoma State frat
College football dies strange things to people.
Too bad the animal had to pay the price here.

I enjoy filet mignon as much as the next guy but this is disgusting.

It is one thing to paint a rival's statue, but this is fucked in the head wrong.
Dean Wormer was right, fat drunk and stupid is no way to go through life.
December 1st, 2023 at 4:25 PM ^
Dean Wormer was a sage.

Man, when you get to the age and realize Dean Wormer was not a villain

FWIW, I also identify with Vice Principle Vernon from Breakfast club. And I would have brought the hammer down on Ferris Bueller.
December 1st, 2023 at 5:49 PM ^
It's definitely fucked up, but I read the article and don't see any connection to the rivalry. And if you think about it, why would a UT fan kill a longhorn, their own mascot? This doesn't really add up.

Someone else that went to the game last saturday sent me this. What a shame.

If you're capable of torturing and mutilating an animal you are capable of some fucked up shit.
December 1st, 2023 at 3:58 PM ^
Sounds like something a hairless nut fan would do

Why is Ryan Day in Texas?

FarmHouse Fraternity? Coooool

Surprised Iowa and Penn State don't have a chapter.

You left out the most likely school...Sparty.

You are showing off your loosely knotted tennis sweater.
They do have one :https://www.msufarmhouse.com/

I went to University of Kentucky, and can confirm there is a farmhouse chapter there.
word has it they were lovers of overalls and lots of beer.
crazy, I know.

Race to the bottom between this and poisoning trees.
December 1st, 2023 at 4:09 PM ^
Both are terrible and criminal, but I'll give the edge to the killing and mutilation of sentient animals for sport.
December 1st, 2023 at 4:53 PM ^
Wait, are you saying trees aren't sentient?

Same. And I’m 38 😂.
December 1st, 2023 at 6:30 PM ^
Trees aren't dumb. They just talk slow.
December 1st, 2023 at 5:25 PM ^
A lot of Oklahoma State students on reddit are posting this is a tit for tat between two frats and not anything to do with football.
December 1st, 2023 at 8:24 PM ^
Oh well in that case it doesn't matter at all 🙄
December 1st, 2023 at 3:59 PM ^
Not only is that completely f'ed up, that's also criminal.
December 1st, 2023 at 4:07 PM ^
Were you eating a cheeseburger when you wrote this? Because it would be a whole lot funnier if you were...
December 1st, 2023 at 4:11 PM ^
Mutilating animals is a crime, i have no idea why eating meat has anything to do with that
December 1st, 2023 at 4:25 PM ^
I mean, my comment above was just a joke. But since you raise the topic, do you really see such a massive ethical divide between "humanely" killing 35 millions cows a year just here in the U.S. for food (that's fine), and "inhumanely" killing one cow (that's an outrage)? Hmmm...
December 1st, 2023 at 4:29 PM ^
I agree, but if they made the cow suffer, that is wrong and they are cunts.
December 1st, 2023 at 4:33 PM ^
I completely agree.
December 1st, 2023 at 7:34 PM ^
Uh. . . read up on CAFOs.
The cheapness of meat in this country has a staggering moral cost.
December 1st, 2023 at 5:19 PM ^
I am a vegetarian and would be happy if most were, but people have their choice to eat meat or not eat meat. The 35 million cows killed to feed people serves a purpose, the mutilation of this cow does not. This longhorn was killed for no reason.
December 1st, 2023 at 7:36 PM ^
We don’t actually know how or why this cow was killed. Maybe I’m naive but what if it was already dead?
December 1st, 2023 at 7:44 PM ^
Wait, do you think they mutilated it before killing it?
December 1st, 2023 at 4:02 PM ^
That party got really out of control!!
December 1st, 2023 at 4:06 PM ^
Yeah, it jumped up a notch. There were horses, and a man on fire, I killed a guy with a trident, and there was a dead longhorn!
December 1st, 2023 at 4:08 PM ^
They wake up, foggy.
"Dude, what happened last night."
"Brah, I don't have the full picture... but I think I remember.. cattle?"
"Why is there blood on your pants?"
December 1st, 2023 at 4:10 PM ^
"I mean, she was a little bigger than normal, but I wouldn't call her cattle! Oh, oh, you mean the dead longhorn. Right, got it..."
December 1st, 2023 at 4:12 PM ^
Bahahahahaa
December 1st, 2023 at 4:06 PM ^
I’m just surprised that this hasn’t happened before especially during a bedlam (OU vs O-State) series game.
December 1st, 2023 at 4:08 PM ^
this is most likely OT
December 1st, 2023 at 4:09 PM ^
as the resident farmer on mgo, yeah, that is beyond stupid and probably criminal depending on how it happened. worse, the animal itself looks like it was in poor health at time of death. i suppose it's possible it died and then was dumped there - a much less sinister activity. but who the heck let's their cattle get like that in the first place unless it's just a very old steer.
December 1st, 2023 at 4:14 PM ^
i suppose it's possible it died and then was dumped there - a much less sinister activity.
This is my hope. A gross act nonetheless but far less egregious to me. In either case, though, I am struggling to understand how Texas is using a dead longhorn to taunt someone. It seems tantamount to doing horns down.
Now letting a live wolverine loose inside the frat house, that's another story.
December 1st, 2023 at 4:17 PM ^
visions of a wolverine running rampant at that house, yelling 'which one of you little buggers thought it'd be fun to dump your beer on the carpet and put a hole in the dry wall?!! come on out you little turd, it's payday!"
December 1st, 2023 at 4:18 PM ^
Isn't the thought that it was somebody for Ok St. who did this, like they are literally "killing the Longhorns" and then are going to figuratively do it? That's how I took it.
December 1st, 2023 at 4:23 PM ^
Maybe, but it was in Stillwater, not Austin. So it's a frat rivalry using longhorns to taunt each other? Still don't really get it. I'm not sure what is assumed to be the case, I guess.
December 1st, 2023 at 4:26 PM ^
Ok that makes sense. I mean, it doesn't "make sense." Like at all. It is insane.
But I could see this being one frat's prank against another, like you said.
I guess it just means more down there.
December 1st, 2023 at 8:26 PM ^
They're dumbass kids in a farming frat. They killed a longhorn they had access to...they're not going to drive it down to Austin.
You're already thinking way harder about it than these dipshits.
