MSU apologizes for large Hitler image on scoreboard
October 21st, 2023 at 11:11 PM ^
Sometimes you have a bad night and accidentally put Hitler on the scoreboard.
October 21st, 2023 at 11:17 PM ^
Hitler on the scoreboard. If this isn't rock bottom, I am afraid to find out what is.
October 21st, 2023 at 11:22 PM ^
Well, pretty sure that's once sign we wont be trying to steal.
October 21st, 2023 at 11:24 PM ^
They’ve got their guy - we will stick with James Earl Jones.
October 21st, 2023 at 11:52 PM ^
If this isn't rock bottom, I am afraid to find out what is.
Knowing their track record, you may not have to wait long.

Not The Bee:

This happened the SAME DAY as a Jewish synagogue leader was murdered down the road in Detroit.
Not good, Bob.

Metaphorically speaking, they absolutely fumbled the ball in this aspect as the ESPN photo suggests.
Edit: I would normally post the photo for reference but can’t do it considering the subject matter, even if it is making fun of the dude. Here is the ESPN link https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/38715482/michigan-state-apologizes-hitler-image-big-screen
October 22nd, 2023 at 12:09 AM ^
"We never drop the ball" lmao
October 21st, 2023 at 11:12 PM ^
Saw this on Twitter, but they had more Hitler images on the scoreboard than points.
October 21st, 2023 at 11:13 PM ^
Just when you thought the MSU football program couldn't embarrass itself any further...
October 21st, 2023 at 11:16 PM ^
It tried not to embarrass itself any fuhrer
October 22nd, 2023 at 11:31 AM ^
I 👀 what you did there 🤣
October 21st, 2023 at 11:54 PM ^
Seriously, give them time. They're the worst program in the conference. Hell, Rutgers even beat them. That program is a train wreck
October 22nd, 2023 at 11:02 AM ^
They put up football's first ever Hitler Rutger.
October 21st, 2023 at 11:13 PM ^
Lol what the fuck
October 21st, 2023 at 11:13 PM ^
Once again, nobody shits on sparty like sparty can. Unreal.
October 21st, 2023 at 11:15 PM ^
Where they upset that no one could answer the question?
October 21st, 2023 at 11:15 PM ^

"We are deeply sorry for the content that was displayed, as this is not representative of our institutional values."
ummm, exactly what "institutional values" are those??
October 22nd, 2023 at 6:13 AM ^
Phone masturbation.

Anti-Semitism runs rampant on college campuses from students to faculty. We are witnessing it in real time from UCLA to Harvard. Michigan included. Sadly, just like in Germany during the 30s, it is coming from the intellectual class in the United States.
This isn't about land. It's about the destruction of a group of people.
October 21st, 2023 at 11:17 PM ^
I’m sure that it’ll get blamed on us somehow. Even though Tucker got off (pun intended) easier than Harbaugh.
October 21st, 2023 at 11:17 PM ^
Whoops
October 21st, 2023 at 11:17 PM ^
“You know what would be a good, fun pregame trivia question? Let’s play ‘Match the dictators to the countries they terrorized!’ Educational, fun for the whole family!”
October 21st, 2023 at 11:38 PM ^
I mean, they put Hitler on their scoreboard, we failed Papa Doc Duvalier out of the school of Public Health...
October 21st, 2023 at 11:54 PM ^
I hadn’t realized he’d attended; Wikipedia says he graduated, though..?
October 21st, 2023 at 11:18 PM ^
Was this about the Donovan Edwards thing? If it is, bad look for MSU.
October 21st, 2023 at 11:32 PM ^
First, no.
Second, it's a bad look regardless.
October 21st, 2023 at 11:18 PM ^
And yet stealing signs will be the bigger crime…….
October 21st, 2023 at 11:18 PM ^
And they say we’re the ones with a sign problem
October 21st, 2023 at 11:18 PM ^
Gotta say, I didn't have that one on my bingo card for the evening.
October 21st, 2023 at 11:18 PM ^
Was at the game, multiple times they ran a promo for "a chance to attend MSUs bowl game" this season, lmao
October 21st, 2023 at 11:40 PM ^
The finale against Penn State at Ford Field it is!!!! That (little) bro ain’t right!
October 22nd, 2023 at 6:16 AM ^
I’m sure George Blaha has his bags packed.
October 22nd, 2023 at 9:27 AM ^
Blaha just entered the portal
October 21st, 2023 at 11:19 PM ^
They were going to use "how many strokes did it take for Mel Tucker to launch a ninety-five million dollar wad?" ... but they decided it was inappropriate and went with Hitler trivia instead.
October 21st, 2023 at 11:20 PM ^
I would love to see a video of the conversation that led to this.
#1 idiot: "Hey! I got a cool idea for the pregame entertainment. Let's have a trivia quiz!"
#2 idiot: "Sweeet. That would be awesome. We just need a theme. Any ideas?"
#3 idiot: (*looks up from re-reading Mein Kampf for the 33rd time*) "How about some Hitler trivia? The crowd would love it."
#1 & #2: "Great idea, bro. Let's do it! Waaay better than something about, say, college football."
October 22nd, 2023 at 12:58 AM ^
Well, it isn't as if they could post a trivia quiz about their Heisman trophy winners.
October 21st, 2023 at 11:20 PM ^
Wait. That really happened? I just assumed it was a photoshop by someone who had too much to drink.
October 21st, 2023 at 11:21 PM ^
Mel Tucker.
Hitler.
And the NCAA will have it hot for Michigan and Harbaugh.
October 22nd, 2023 at 9:30 AM ^
We are in bizzaro world Every time Sparty violates everyone's moral code the NCAA investigates Michigan for buying hamburgers
October 21st, 2023 at 11:26 PM ^
They were trying to honor their legend Mork Dantonio but understandably got him confused with someone else.
October 21st, 2023 at 11:26 PM ^
Boom, Godwin'd.
October 21st, 2023 at 11:28 PM ^
Massive nothingburger, made amusing by Sparty's attempts to apologize for making a historical reference.
People who want to be OUTRAGED!!! will always find something.
October 21st, 2023 at 11:33 PM ^
It’s the wrong context. Nobody is saying people shouldn’t learn about Hitler — in fact, it’s essential that everybody learns about Hitler. But he’s not an appropriate subject for trivia questions. Trivializing Hitler and/or the Holocaust — that’s the last thing that any institute of higher education should be doing.
October 21st, 2023 at 11:34 PM ^
Yes, this. Learn about Hitler in school = good. Learn about Hitler at a football game = ehhhhh, probably not the time.
