Here's his recruiting profile and portal profile. Everything I've seen on Twitter says he was a great leader and was ASU's top O-line player. Great to keep adding talent to our O-Line

Here’s the NFL draft buzz profile. Seems like he could benefit from playing here (duh).

Strengths:
- Technician as a pass protector, playing with a wide base and very good balance. Henderson has heavy hands, but more impressively, Henderson is consistent with his kick slide and shows impressive lateral movement.
Weaknesses
- He’s shaky as a pass protector, which is troublesome for the next level. Henderson often plays too high with an inconsistent kick slide.
I am confusion.

Seems like he's going to be pretty good in the pass protection, but maybe a little shaky as a pass protector.
And, you know what they say about heavy hands....
December 6th, 2022 at 1:54 PM ^
Scouting take: Splunge. He might be a good pass protector. He might not. He might have a consistent kick slide. He might not. But I'm NOT being indecisive.

Riotously, I see that, here, OSU has two OLs listed in the top ten in the country-and Michigan has ZERO
December 6th, 2022 at 1:27 PM ^
His Goodbye ASU comments point to one year remaining.

says 3 unless it’s wrong.
December 6th, 2022 at 2:01 PM ^
He’s from the class of 2019. So redshirt in 19, 20 doesn’t count. 21 would be redshirt freshman year, this year would be redshirt sophomore. So unless he was granted a medshirt, he should have two years remaining
December 6th, 2022 at 3:33 PM ^
Looks like he didn't redshirt in 2019. So he's played 4 years, with one of them being the free covid year.
December 6th, 2022 at 4:04 PM ^
he started as a freshman in 2019 so he just has the one year of eligibiity in 2023 left.

Year<>Chapter
December 6th, 2022 at 1:31 PM ^
one year for sure. he likely would have been draft bound with east west game invite but then injured his hand and their coach was fired.
December 6th, 2022 at 2:07 PM ^
He was decently high on draft boards this year. Which likely means he’s only here for a year.
December 6th, 2022 at 2:15 PM ^
It's one year of eligibility. I'm a Michigan fan first and ASU fan second (daughter goes there) was a gut punch when he entered the portal but this 100% makes up for it.
He's the real deal and have watched him the last three years. Glad we landed him.
December 6th, 2022 at 3:49 PM ^
Why do you think he did not go to the NFL?
December 6th, 2022 at 4:32 PM ^
Not sure. If I had to guess, he has been out since the Washington game which was the 6th game. Combine this with the 4 games in 2020 (more like scrimmages) and 13 last year means he has only had 23 games in three years, of which almost half we're at different positions. But he did start in game 3 of his freshman year and played the rest of that season.
He was the left guard last year and I think this year and may be planning a move back to tackle at the NFL level. This means he has only played 12 games at tackle. (Protected Jayden Daniels' blindside when he was their QB)
Maybe it's coaching, figuring another year would raise his draft stock. ASU's line coaching this year has been suboptimal and he wants to learn technique from the best.

The player to be named later from the Frankie Collins trade.
December 6th, 2022 at 1:21 PM ^
A multi-year starter, team captain and unquestioned leader, Henderson was one of the top Pac-12 offensive guards this season before a finger injury suffered in ASU's Oct. 8 win over Washington ended his season.

Same crew that visited the Utah kid.
December 6th, 2022 at 1:29 PM ^
Newsome will be an excellent OL coach soon.
December 6th, 2022 at 1:37 PM ^
He's such a great guy to have on staff because he's been through the program, seen adversity, overcome it, found success on and off the field, and is now a coach at such a young age
December 6th, 2022 at 1:31 PM ^
I don't like it at all.
The photo was taken Monday 12/5 and Harbaugh is still wearing that crappy Nike polo from the B1G CCG. The stripes and all, it just doesn't look good.
December 6th, 2022 at 1:41 PM ^
Was this sarcasm that didn't land or are you seriously salty about a polo shirt?
December 6th, 2022 at 1:51 PM ^
Well I'm not yelling at my screen or anything, but I'm serious about the shirt being sub-optimal.
December 6th, 2022 at 1:45 PM ^
I'm sure he showered at least once.
December 6th, 2022 at 1:45 PM ^
I bet that he has at least 6 of them.
December 6th, 2022 at 2:05 PM ^
I think Harbaugh just might have a collection of Nike gear with various patters of maize and blue. Oh, he probably has a number of blue and Maize shirts / polos too…
December 6th, 2022 at 1:32 PM ^
Think someone is just photo shopping this staff into home visit photos.
December 6th, 2022 at 1:21 PM ^
but I heard not everything is as it seems
December 6th, 2022 at 1:23 PM ^
A gaurd...wonder if they're expecting some attrition at the guard then. Both Keegan and Zinter have eligability left unless they're expecting one or both to leave early maybe?
December 6th, 2022 at 1:24 PM ^
Yeah. Probably mixed emotions for me on this one.
December 6th, 2022 at 1:26 PM ^
I didn't think we'd get both back but I was hoping at least one would. This seems to make that unlikely.
December 6th, 2022 at 1:30 PM ^
Zinter at least has gotta be on draft boards.
December 6th, 2022 at 2:10 PM ^
After that clip of Zinter shoving Ohio State's d-line around to make space for Donovan Edwards' big run, I guarantee he's on the board for several teams. Guys who make blocks like that are gold
December 6th, 2022 at 1:45 PM ^
He’s started at T in the past, is 6’5 and is supposed to have long arms. Could swing out to replace Hayes
December 6th, 2022 at 2:17 PM ^
Hes started at tackle in the past so that could be the plan if Keegan and Zinter both come back
December 6th, 2022 at 1:24 PM ^
Welcome aboard! Go Blue!
December 6th, 2022 at 1:24 PM ^
From my post that I asked to be deleted: Henderson started 29 games over the last three years, and appears to have been one of ASU's team captains this season. He missed the last six games after sustaining a broken bone in his hand against Washington in October.
He had accepted an invite the East-West Shrine game, which seemed to indicate he was ready to move on and prepare for the NFL draft, but decide to join the good guys instead!!
I presume this means they expect 1 or both of Zinter/Keegan to go pro.
December 6th, 2022 at 1:27 PM ^
Who is our center next year? I seem to recall early in Zinter's career there was talking about grooming him for center. Is is possible that Zinter replaces Olu at center and then Henderson slides in at guard opposite Keegan?
December 6th, 2022 at 1:30 PM ^
Thats what I was thinking.
December 6th, 2022 at 1:31 PM ^
Crippen is the heir at Center and the team was reportedly comfortable starting him until Olu blessed us with his transfer.
December 6th, 2022 at 1:31 PM ^
They like Crippen a lot. He's the slated in starter for next year.
Reads to me like both guys are moving on
December 6th, 2022 at 1:33 PM ^
Greg Crippen; would have started had we not gotten Olu.
ETA GMTA
December 6th, 2022 at 1:33 PM ^
Crippen will be the center
December 6th, 2022 at 1:33 PM ^
All the scuttle is that they actually really like crippen and wanted to preserve his redshirt. Anderson would be the other contender. Would be a total coup to keep Zinter and move him to Center, as he would be our best OL and would shore up the spot with the most uncertainty. I presume the succession plan has already been discussed internally.
