Will Corum injury affect playoff seeding?
So with the tragic news of Corum's season ending surgery, how will the playoff committee view UM without their best player? The committee has said previously that they take injuries into account in their ranking. Any chance his injury causes us to drop even if we beat Purdue?

The resounding ass-whipping administered to OSU should help limit moves by the committee to penalize us. But you have to be honest and say that they may well limit Michigan's chances to beat a Georgia.

It's not like he played vs. OSU and got hurt in practice this week...so yeah, I don't see how that affects anything.

thank God the big ten ADs don't get to vote. ask Bo.

The Franklin injury was just an excuse. The B1G was and is full of haters and they voted for OSU to spite us.
December 1st, 2022 at 4:28 PM ^
This weekend should be a pretty resounding victory too; I think Donovan will do a great job for us. I wonder how his hand is doing, anyone know?
December 1st, 2022 at 4:35 PM ^
If I had to guess he'll still have the cast on this week but won't have it for the CFP. This isn't based on any inside info, just the average recovery time of a broken hand.

Might be harder than suggested. Gotta withstand first quarter hypes.

I really hope Stokes has a coming out party saturday. Michigan will need all the weapons they can possibly have for the playoffs.

I bought a donut and they gave me a receipt for the donut. I don’t need a receipt for the donut. I give you money and you give me the donut, end of transaction. We don’t need to bring ink and paper into this. I can’t imagine a scenario that I would have to prove that I bought a donut.

I was at this casino minding my own business, and this guy came up to me and said, 'You're gonna have to move, you're blocking a fire exit.' As though if there was a fire, I wasn't gonna run. If you're flammible and have legs, you are never blocking a fire exit.

I am unfamiliar with Mitch Hedberg, but I like these quotes. Reminiscent of Steven Wright.

Cool story bro… My dad & brother were driving me & my new wife to the airport in Romulus for our honeymoon trip in early may ‘88. SW pulled up along side us in the back of a limousine on 94. Somehow I noticed him (could have been the limousine), & I said “Hey man, that’s Steven Wright!” He looked at me & I could tell:
That he had a collection of sea shells scattered all over the beaches of the world

He came into my schema a couple years ago. I was overjoyed and finding his clips all over YouTube, then crushed to hear about his death. Enjoy your new discovery!

Some responses don't need a well-developed 5-paragraph essay with an attention getter and thesis. This is the correct answer.

Although some responses are apparently so good they need double posts?

Not if we win Saturday.
Our "backup" RB just went for 216yds against the #2 team. Win Saturday and we're #2 barring UGA imploding.

...with one hand in a cast.
December 1st, 2022 at 3:17 PM ^
Yep. Hater fanbases Saturday were on some, "Edwards just proved Corum's replaceable, ergo no Heisman for Corum" (which is stupid logic - you can't be excellent if someone on your team is also excellent? The Heisman isn't an MVP award - but whatever), so if he's replaceable then I guess Playoff seeding shouldn't be affected.
December 1st, 2022 at 3:22 PM ^
"The Heisman isn't an MVP award..."
It's supposed to be. It's charter says it is. It's not, and we all know that, but it is supposed to be.
December 1st, 2022 at 3:28 PM ^
You sure? Thought it was "most outstanding," and that a different award, Camp, or Maxwell, or another like those, was meant to be more of an MVP.
December 1st, 2022 at 3:40 PM ^
They always said that about Brady and Belichick. Then Brady left and won a Super Bowl with another team and the Pats haven't done shit

Exactly Tennessee didnt get punished when hooker when down and they not have Joe Milton starting as their QB.
December 1st, 2022 at 7:16 PM ^
And Craig James didn't get punished when 5 hookers went down either.
December 1st, 2022 at 7:18 PM ^
Didn't even matter if the backup had 216 yards. They beat the #2 team on the road by 22, which qualifies as by far their best game of the season, without Corum. So why would they get dinged. They're clearly still an elite team without him.
December 1st, 2022 at 7:42 PM ^
He would have had more yards, but the endzone stopped him twice.

I can't see that happening unless there's a loss to Purdue. USC can't pass us, and OSU certainly can't. If we flipflop 2/3 with TCU it makes no difference.
Even with a loss to Purdue, we probably don't drop below USC/OSU since neither has as good a win as our @OSU, which we did without Corum
December 1st, 2022 at 3:08 PM ^
We would not drop below OSU, but I could see us dropping to 4.
December 1st, 2022 at 3:11 PM ^
Behind USC? Guess it's possible but I wouldn't bet on it unless Purdue wins by 20 and USC wins by 20. USC wouldn't have any top 10 wins and we'd have two. And they are half a team, we are a complete team. Only edge they'd have is a conference championship (of the 4th-best conference).
December 1st, 2022 at 3:15 PM ^
You gotta admit though, this hasn't been the best day for Michigan. A combination of bad pub, Corum news, uncertainty regarding Morris, and a loss against Purdue. I could see us dropping to 4 in that scenario.

December 1st, 2022 at 10:17 PM ^
What about what I said right there would suggest any form of trolling? In a scenario where Michigan was the only team of the top 4 to lose their conference championship game and it being an unranked foe, you would expect them not to drop? On what planet? If by “troll” you mean “saying obvious things” that yeah I guess I fit that description.
December 1st, 2022 at 7:23 PM ^
I don't think USC has to win big but I do think Michigan would have to lose by 3+ scores to drop below them. USC would have the conference title and a considerably "better" loss (which they also would have avenged on the neutral field).
December 1st, 2022 at 3:54 PM ^
You see some weird shit. Damn. Tell us what is it you see and why?
December 1st, 2022 at 7:20 PM ^
USC could pass us if they win convincingly and we lose convincingly. The hard stop for us is 4th, though, because we aren't dropping below OSU (and no one else is moving ahead of us).
December 1st, 2022 at 3:04 PM ^
You do realize we clapped OSU more or less without him, right?
