Could've sworn it was D-Day from Animal House but his whereabouts remain unknown.

All-America kicker also wins the Heisman for mustaches.

For real. I've been growing mine for 2 years and it's not bad, but it's not half as luscious.

Punter, actually.

I figured Clarence was alluding to the commentators' inability to distinguish the reigning Lou Groza Award winner from the punter on the Ray Guy Award watchlist.

In a word, excellent.

Too much Moody.
Nice seeing Dennis carve out a nice role on the punt coverage today.
September 3rd, 2022 at 3:36 PM ^
Hell yeah! Dennis was all over punt coverage.

Moody for Heisman?

Is it possible for something to be ho-hum AND virtually perfect?
September 3rd, 2022 at 3:44 PM ^
Was hoping to see clear improvement in the fielding of punts - the CSU punter left that TBD.

They are a machine, sooo consistent. Punt coverages was excellent.

AHHH HE PUT IT THROUGH THE UPRIGHTS

There is nothing of value to be derived from today's game. Thankful for the reps and lack of injuries. Moving on.

You should post this again … or 3X so we get your pessimistic POV about the game.
September 3rd, 2022 at 4:27 PM ^
Excellent, as we have come to expect.

From a desire for Kicking Competency years ago to an expectation of Kicking Excellence now. Love it.

Mustache Game is Best in the Nation.

I love our special teams play remembering the years when they weren't so special.

Solid, crisp execution.
Jay Harbaugh is an excellent ST coach.

Why do they think we need an mc to tell us how to spell out Michigan? And if they are going to have an mc, he should tell the students how to do the wave correctly.

Not only that... but every cheer the offseason West Michigan Whitecaps intern tried to "explain" was overengineered and different than we normally do it.
Instead of "GO" and "BLUE" it was in 3 sections and confused everyone. Instead of spelling "MICHIGAN" around the stadium with each letter having its spot, each letter was repeated and only the M and N were heard because those letters included ALL of the end zone seats. (My section normally always does "H" and we instead got "N" yesterday.)
I live near Western Kentucky and the guy who does this at WKU games is actually the pastor of the church across the street. He is pretty low key but does a solid "hype" man thing. I never thought we'd see the day (nor ever need to try) having an onfield hype man for Michigan.
And YES... the Wave on its approach to FAST just kind of... kept going at normal speed and died. The thing that keeps the Wave moving is the changes to FAST, then SLOW, then REVERSE, then SPLIT, etc. It was the perfect tomato can for a great Wave. Alas, it was not to be. (So help me if Hype Man tries to teach us to do the Wave next week... It'll be Regular then SLOW then SPLIT then FAST then REVERSE then... you get the point.)
My lawn, remove thee from it.

On TV, we were treated to an explanation of the origins of the name 'Michigan'.

Will need our special teams when we get into tight games. Would be happy with only one FG attempt per game
September 3rd, 2022 at 7:05 PM ^
the snowflakes threads are a good idea but they take up too much of the board and stay up to long pushing good post-game topics, evening games, etc off the board too quickly.
suggestion: combine them into 2 instead of 4. so keep, say, 'offense/coaching' as one, 'defense/special teams' as the other.
all in favor, say 'aye', those opposed, same sign...

What is this special African wax (or whatever) the announcers were referring to?

Just adds a little friction and warmth—it’s pretty nice.
